The bar is larger than expected, bringing up the value of the product. It came in a nice little box so it looked attractive for a gift basket-previous bars of soap from Upper Canada have come plastic wrapped and slightly less gift-ably attractive so this was a nice change. The smell is a muted maple scent that goes well with the other products in the line-creates a decent lather-very similar I would say to the Warm Honey Nectar, but with maple overtones.
I have had a lot of problems with oily skin and sebum secretions. I get occasional acne on my back and chin. This bar of soap is hard to find, but worth the search. I don't have to use anything else to keep my skin free of blemishes. I use it daily and swear by it. If you have these problems...try this product. It is an all natural alternative to "other" acne applications that can be harsh and expensive.

I notice people with OILY skin problems are discussing this product but I have the dryest skin and HAIR of all persons on earth. $200-300 dollar creams don't help and neither do doctor's prescriptions but this stuff DOES. Don't ignore this part of the claim ...Bentonite helps your skin retain its natural moisture. Leave my hands soft and I slapped it on my hair and it left my hair soft too (far better than the shampoo they do offer the soap doesn't have the lousy Sodium Laureth which is the cheap suds found in most shampoos). Does it cure eczema and psoriasis? NO I have not seen evidence of that yet but I'm on my first bar. What I'd like to know is what about the Conditioner? My boyfriend never asks for me to find a product. I am a product guru and I was suprised when he begged me to find this. He has severe exzema and we have tried everything. He uses the soap as a whole body cleanser and it does not aggitate his exzema. I use it all the time for a face cleanser when I am feeling a pimple come on; I usually have dry skin and this doesn't make me feel dry; actually it is cleansing without stripping the moisture. It is very drying and I do not recommend it at all for someone with sensitive/oily skin. You will find yourself reaching for the moisturizer more than one should, however if you want to use it for your body then its not a bad product. Oh yeah before I forget there is a smell to it, not bad, but herbal.
So many people have told me how great this soap smells. It lathers well and cleans well and does not dry my skin. The only complaint I have is that it slips through your hands like water. If you aren't careful it will go down the drain quickly. Other than that I love it.

I recently purchased the three pack of KMF refills and am very disapointed with the product. They have changed the product recently. We originally purchased the refill and two pump versions of the foaming liquid soaps after buying a single pump bottle locally. They were very good with the pump producing a thick foam that cleaned your hands well. We just bought more refills and it seems like they have watered down the product. We now have to use two pump strokes to get the same cleaning that we used to get with one pump stroke. The foam is much lighter and as one other reviewer said, you have to be careful not to loose it down the drain before you get to wash your hands. You get what you pay for with this soap.I was kind of disappointed because this soap does not smell like coconut at all.It has a good lather and gets you clean, but if you want a soap that really smells like coconut look elsewhere.
My wife and I really really like using this soap over any other soaps we've tried in the past. The tea tree oil leaves the skin feeling very soft and refreshed. Besides using it in the shower, I also use it as a face wash before bed and as a result it has cleared up my acne too. I don't have major acne, very mild so I wasn't using any medication or anything like that, and it worked. We also use the tea tree shampoo and conditioner; Organic Health Invigorating Tea Tree Oil Shampoo & Conditioner + FREE Tea Tree Oil Soap Bars by Herbal Authority. I get dandruff quite often and my head itches like crazy. The tea tree shampoo solved the problem after two uses and again it wasn't a big issue but I had some acne on my head and hair-line which disappeared pretty quickly after using the shampoo only a couple times. I've always used Dove and was very happy with it. A friend turned me on to Bronner's and I immediately made the switch. Nice scent that isn't over powering. What I like the best is that it leaves no noticeable residue on the skin. Burt's Bees Exfoliating Body Bar is amazing as far as I'm concerned! Like a lot of people, I suffer from keratosis pilaris (red bumps on my upper arms, cheeks, and other various places) and have found few products that do anything about it. I just started using this body bar, however, and my arms are SO soft and smooth! My arms haven't been this soft since I was a baby. My skin feels great, the bar doesn't dry my skin out (I have grotesquely dry skin, barely ever had a zit) and it smells so fresh and wonderful. It was soothing and refreshing on my sensitive skin.

I originally came across this product at the resort we stay at and had to buy some. Thanks to the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort for stocking the rooms with this (smaller version) great soap. I find this help to reduce an breakouts on my face and will be a longtime customer.
The packet is really huge and you can use it to fill many small sachets. However, instead of the packaging shown in the picture, I got it in a ziplock bag, which I thought was much better. It was much easier to store and I think it helps to seal the scent in as well.
Enjoyed this small little gift . It came in a neat tin container and had a very refreshing scent. Nice surprise. I would recommend this to any soap lover. Didnt last long because of it's size but I did enjoy it.

I haven't purchased this item from Amazon.com, but from another distributor. This soap is very mild and has a unique scent to it....can't quite put my finger exactly on the scent, but I like it very much. Having said this, because of its' unique scent, some might find it undesirable. The cost is mid-range, but is very effective. BTW, I usually use Ivory or (strangely?) Irish Spring because many soaps bother my sinus area. Also, I occasionally will shower/bathe with white vinegar when using soap. It enhances the scent AND the acid works to combat odor AND it softens my skin: I guess the acid is a protective barrier?.
My daughter is 3, and she loves this soap. Unfortunately, if she's not extremely closely supervised, she uses more than she needs and winds up dripping on the sink, floor, bathroom rug...that would all be fine, except that when this recently happened, this soap stained and ruined my bathroom rug. It wouldn't even come out with multiple washings. It also has an extremely perfume-y scent. Yuck. I should have just glued a picture of Thomas to a regular hand soap pump.
Small easy to handle bar and this is a hard long lasting soap. Was disappointed that it has almost no lavender scent and basically just smells like soap. Lathers fairly well and didnt dry out my skin. Produced in India and imported to Lodi CA. No animal ingredients or testing. This would be a soap that a Green party member would love. Otherwise it is just an average all organic bar of soap. Even the box is made of recycled paper.
If you have bought this sandalwood soap in the past, be aware that the formula has changed. The new bars do not have that deep sandalwood scent that the old ones did. It's sad that I have to look for a new sandalwood soap after all these years = (
I have been using this soap for over a year now, it is the exact same soap as the MUSGO Real Glyce Lime Oil soap (MRGLO) but a bit cheaper. It is very concentrated stuff, a 10 second lathering in your hands provides plenty of soap to scrub your face, I only use my hands and have never used the bar as a shave stick or used a wash cloth..using my method, each bar lasts me 3 months of daily shaves. I do not rinse this soap off, I scrub my face well with my fingertips for a good 30 seconds and then I leave it on without rinsing... It is very moisturizing and the combination of oils and high glycerine content really helps soften your beard and leaves a slick lubricating film on your skin to build your shaving lather on.
We had been using Bronner's soaps because they are made of simple ingredients, are easy-to-find, and are low-toxicity, vegan castile soaps. The one thing that I've never been hugely impressed with in Bronner's aside from the entertainingly kooky writing is the scents. I've tried any number of them, and rose is the only one I've truly liked and no one around here sells it.
