I love this soap. I love that it comes in all kinds of different themes, which are great for adding a little detail to bathroom decorations, but it also smells great.

One Natural Body Soap, Peace, 5 oz

This bar is pretty unusual from other soap bars I've tried. It uses recycled cardboard packaging which i'm sure is better for the environment. It uses unusual ingredients like sorbitol and sucrose which are sugars. Here is the complete ingredients list:

Sodium Palm Kernelate (Palm Kernel Oil), Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Stearate, Glycerin, Sorbitol, Sucrose (Sugar), Deionized Water, Panthenol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Fragrance, Cymbogogon Schoenanthus (Oil), FD&C Yellow 5 Aluminum Lake, D&C Red 33 (CI 17200), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090)

What drew me to it is its calming, peaceful smell as it label states it's a fragrant pine tree scent which smells like being out in a sunny forest. It lathers decently. It's a bright red medium sized rectangular soap bar. Its definitely aromatherapeutic in the bath. As far as whether its smell lasts once you finish your bath, it has no lasting smell.

I would recommend it as fine for aromatherapy, but not as a gift to a friend since the packaging leaves a lot to be desired, unless your friend happens to be a vocal pro-recycler and/or pro-environmentalist.

As with any soap, if you want to have it last longer, keep it away from water and get a soapholder with holes on the bottom so the water doesn't stay to liquefy the soap.

Claus Porto Madrigal (Waterlilly) Bath Soap Box of 3

Claus Porto makes great soapsthis one is lovely, but you will NOT get what is advertised. Instead of the 12.3 oz bath soaps, you will get the little 5 oz hand soaps. Not so great, if that isn't what you want. I called Amazon, and they have sent me a return label and will refund my moneybut I'm kind of annoyed. I feel I should be able to have what I orderedbut apparently that isn't the way this works.

The size listed in "Product Features" for this "Claus Porto Madrigal (Waterlilly) Bath Soap Box of 3" is clearly 12.4 oz. That would be the size of the large bath soap. The soap in this set is actually the medium size, 5.28 oz, as the previous reviewers discovered. Nevertheless, the price for the set is competitive, so I ignored the description and got what I wanted (the medium size) and paid for. I am surprised that after the two previous reviews drawing attention to the deceptive description, the mistake has not been corrected.

I have no idea how anyone could mistake the size of these bars since the 12 oz bars cost 16 bucks it would seem obvious that these 3 bars for 30 are the mid size bars. Even so you should know that the largest bars are hard to handle anyway and heaven help you if you drop it on your foot!! All that being said this soap is my favorite claus Porto so far, you will love it. The smell is divine!

Yardley London Almond Milk Natural Soap-4 oz. (Quantity of 6)

The scent is strong...but I like it. And the lingering scent on my hands is actually very pleasant...not per-fumy, which is a plus for me. Whether it is efficacious in dealing with my minor issues, time will tell, but the smell is certainly of tea tree oil and so I am hopeful for positive results.

The dispenser requires more attention when using than some soft soap dispensers...the nozzle can revolve if you don't make an effort to press directly down resulting is some liquid going inadvertently not in your hand. However once learning this I manage to take more care and so that is not really too much of an issue.

The 4 unit quantity that I purchased came in a plastic bag in which two of the units leaked since their screw on caps had loosened and cleaning it up was a pain.

I used this soap from a Nutrition S'mart in my town. They stopped carrying it after that. This is the only soap that kept my breakouts under control, so you better believe I went hunting this down. The smell is of course pretty strong, but it is a clean smell. It leaves your skin super cleansed and keeps your skin under control. I highly recommend this product.

I am chemically sensitive and use this to make up dishwashing soap. I use 1/3 to 1/4 parts Dr. Bronner's to the rest water in an empty soap bottle and just use as you would any store bought soap liquid. You can use this for about anything, just dilute and feel safe to use without fear of chemical residue.

I like this soap, but not because of the brand name. I have used liquid Castile soap "off and on" for many years, and have used different brands, including Dr. Bonner's. I purchased this particular size thinking it was larger than it really is. I looked at the container and not the size (remember, a gallon is 128 oz, this container holds a half gallon). My experience with liquid Castile soap is that it definitely cleans the body better than bar soaps.

The store that I usually purchase Castile soap from went out of business, so of course I turned to my favorite alternative source, Amazon online. I looked at different brands offered on the site and read a lot of reviews. I found out that you actually use the soap to wash your hair; that was a surprise. I use this soap as a body wash, a face soap, and to shampoo my hair, and I think it does an excellent job for each. But I must warn you that ladies may want to use a milder soap for sensitive parts of skin.

Bottom line, this is a good soap, but in my opinion, it is no better than some of the other Castile soaps, such as Dr. Woods, which is just as good, but cheaper in price.

Ive used this soap for 30+ years and bought one from this company until i realized the pictures of the product did not match the description. the pics are very misleading so i cancelled my order and will continue to buy it locally. description says 64 oz yet the pictures show a sample size and a 1 gallon being held upside down. the soap is the best ever but this seller is very misleading.

when i submitted this review the next page showed a 1 gallon bottle of the soap on the right side of the page...another falsehood.

Dudu-Osun African Black Soap (100% Pure) Pack of 4

This soap is divine. The black soap is drying so I use the coconut papaya one from Nubian Heritage after I rince off the black soap because it seems to conditions the skin and my skin is less dry. Using the two together has been wonderful. I have 20 year old stretch marks from childbirth that are fading! Anything that can do that is a winner in my book. I thought I would be stuck with those for life and never really tried to do away with them since I thought it was a lost cause. Then I started using these products and I swear in two weeks I started to notice that those stretch marks were fading and some disappeared all together. I told my boyfriend and he said it was placebo effect but then he started to really notice dark spots fading and completely disappearing as well and now he is using the soap too which means now I have to buy more since it is going quite fast. Also got my teen and 22 year old to start using it. Now my bathroom smells like a tropical paradise every time I bathe and now showering is no longer a chore but I actually look forward to the process. And my skin is smooth like a baby.

Since the black soap can be drying, I follow up with the coconut papaya soap since it seems to condition the skin. Plus the smell is quite yummy. Sometimes I use Carol's Daughter "Bring back the moisture" liquid soap which is also great and works well with the black soap. Then I rince. I follow-up with organic rose water as a toner, placed on cotton ball then dab over my face and neck. Rose water soothes the skin. I moisture with organic coconut oil. I guess you can use shea butter moisturizer but I like coconut oil. For the body I either use coconut oil or the Coconut Papaya body lotion with vanilla bean extract when I have it. It smells so yummy and is excellent for the skin.

I've been using these products for almost a month and have had excellent results. Dark spots on my face have disappeared from teen acne years, the occassional pimple I used to get is no more and stretch marks on my breasts are gone, the ones on my thighs have faded, not completely gone yet but I took a pic when I noticed they were fading so that I can compare in a month but I can already see they are fading by the naked eye.

For the person who said that if you are light skinned African American not to use this soap because it makes you lighter. I am light skinned AA and the soap didn't turn me into Michael Jackson ghost white or anything. On the other hand, I have noticed that my complexion has evened out since the dark patches and spots are gone. I use the same color foundation that I used before...now just less of it since I don't have to try to cover dark spots since they are gone. Works for people who are not of color aka caucasian as well. My boyfriend is Scandinavian and it works for his skin as well and you don't get whiter skin than that. The soap doesn't know skin color. Also, I don't rub the soap directly on my face since it has stuff in it, I guess for exfoliation and I have sensitive skin so I rub the soap in my hands and get a really good lather then wash my face with my hands that way I'm not rubbing my skin with the bar and causing unnecessary irritation. I think maybe that's why some reviewers are complaining about irritation. Don't put the bar directly on your face and scrub. I never put any bar directly on my face anyway. I do put the bar directly on my body and wash away since my body is less sensitive and can take the scrubbing but if I have just shaved my legs then I lather the soap in a wash cloth and then use the wash cloth to clean so that I won't cause irritation to my freshly shaven legs. I also noticed that the hair on my legs seems to be growing back slower since I've been using this soap. I don't know if the enzymes in the soap is stimulating the hair follicles less or what but I have noticed slower hair regrowth. I don't know if it's a result of the soap or something else but I'm not complaining. The soap is also great for the eh em private parts...especially the coconut papaya...you'll be yummy smelling and delectable all over...don't ask me how I know, just trust me...enough said about that one.

The soap is supposed to be great for tightening the skin and preventing wrinkles. I don't know if this is true since I'm 41 with no wrinkles so far, so I say, cool, don't have none, won't be none especially if I use these products. Win Win!

This soap is a little more expensive than your average chemical filled soap but it's worth it. I was using Dove which I would pay $7 for 8 bars. Now, I pay $10 for 4 with one bar lasting about 3 weeks since now my boyfriend decided to use the soap too and I'm spending a lot more time in the shower with it but it is so much better for my skin so I don't sweat the price. And for those who complain that it discolors white wash clothes..fooey, don't use white wash clothes then! I use dark colored ones and don't have a problem with discoloration. Wash clothes are cheap...you can always replace them and buy more...you only get one skin.

I've been using the soap for a few months now and I did a test, I had a pimple and silly me, I kept picking at and it resulted in a very dark spot on my face once it was gone. Decided this was the perfect time to really see if this removes spots since I had a fresh one. So I continued using the black soap/coconut papaya soap, rosewater as toner, and coconut oil as moisturizer combination and that dark spot is completely gone. It did take 4 weeks but it was very dark. So, these products do remove dark spots.

I have been using this soap for about 4 years now. The very first time anyone tries it, there will always be a burning sensation. Your skin has to get used to it for a couple of days. But the major problem is the fact that many people are using a cloth towel/ shower puff to apply the product. Never do that. I also made that mistake during the first couple of months of my use. I gave up on it because it seemed to make my acne worse. However after watching a youtube video about this soap, I learned that not using a cloth to apply the soap on you skin is key for the soap to work. Try using your hands instead (like I do). It really makes such a difference!

I really wish I could give this an enthusiastic review, because that would mean that it actually worked for me. I have terrible facial acne and have tried absolutely everything under the sun to treat it for the past six years (Proactiv, Acne Free, other salicylic or benzoyl peroxide producs, Retin-A, antibiotics, taking Zinc tablets, drinking apple cider vinegar, applying tea tree oil, sulfur masks, homemade honey and lemon juice masks)...everything works at first, but soon becomes ineffective.

I figured that since everything I've tried is pretty much equally ineffective, I'd just stick to a natural routine. So now my routine is the following: morning: Dudu-osun soap to wash the face, mask of raw or clover honey and fresh lemon juice for 30 minutes, tea tree oil. Night: Dudu-osun, tea tree oil, and sulphur clay mask before bed. Anyone else's skin would be glowing!! Mine is still totally broken out.

But the soap smells nice and lathers well, considering it's natural and has no sulfates. The soap has not made my skin worse, from what I can tell. It just won't cure my acne or lighten my acne scars, which is what other reviewers rave about. Maybe those reviews are fake?

Anyway, three stars for a nice natural soap...no miracles here, though.

I have always had oily troublesome skin that breaks out in everything known to man...pimples, pustules, blackheads, whiteheads and clogged sweat glands. Like some of the other reviewers I have tried almost everything on the market...including the Proactive type products. That stuff caused an allergic reaction and my skin to turn horridly red and thicken for days...not nice!

The product has helped a lot. I like the citrus fragrance though it's unusual mixed with the "ash" ingredients. It will make a mess in your tub if you don't keep it dry except when using it.

A small amount makes a super lather that turns almost to a cold cream consistency as you rub. I do recommend that you lather and apply with your hands. It causes a slight "chemical peel" action, so intense scrubbing isn't a good idea, nor is leaving it on for an extended time. And RINSE really well (moisturize if you need it). Using it in the shower is really good, since the rinsing is usually better.

I laughed at the reviewers that suggested this product is somehow for African people. Um...skin is skin and it's SOAP--you need not worry that it will change your color! I'm caucasian and quite fair and it's been working very well for me. I'd like to try it on my hair but a little concerned, since I color my hair, as the soap seems a bit strong.

If you are looking for something to deep clean troublesome skin...this is affordable and does the job better than anything else that I have tried. You still can't skip good skin cleansing at least 2x a day. I can imagine some people with sensitive skin might want to test a bit before throwing themselves into using it frequently. I am giving all my drug store bottles and jars the heave-ho and the black bar has a place in my powder room!

Melanie's Man Cleaner Soap

I hesitated buying a soap product for my husband, but this one was fabulous and well appreciated. It has a light scent that is wonderful in the shower, but does not linger or make my husband smell like he took a bath in aftershave. Even my teenage sons wanted bars of their own! Now that is a great soap product!!!

I bought this soap on my visit to the Spiral Horn Apiary. I am so glad to see that they are now offering their products for sale on Amazon. This soap is great and is 100% natural. Most soaps usually end up drying out your skin. Not this one. The packaging comes off easily unlike some soaps where the wrapper sticks to the soap and is hard to peel off.

Quality is as good as what you can find at the expensive Lush stores. I would definitely recommend it.

Omega Nutrition Rainforest Handmade Bar Soap, 4.80-Ounce

I have normal to dry skin. I have purchased/given over the last 15 years at least 30 different bars of soap that were natural/organic that claimed to be moisturizing and they all dried my skin out.

Finally, I have have found the best soap I have ever tried in my life!!! Moonessence Organic Bar Soap, 4.5 Ounce

This soap does not smell as bad as some of the other Castile soap I've tried. It is pretty small, however

I liked the fact that an organic soap was less than $3 (at the time). Some of the soaps were 3x as much. I thought I would try it as I've been looking for different soaps to mix up my bath routine. The scent is pretty mild but, kinda weird. There is a subtle hint of orange but it smells more like an old tea bag. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it is made from high quality ingredients and it made me feel clean. Trader Joes sells super awesome natural soaps for about $3 that are bigger than this and so far they are the nicest ones that I've found for the price. Whole Foods also has a great selection of natural soaps most for less than $3.

Dr. Bronners Tea Tree 32 oz.

I rarely write product reviews but I am compelled to after using Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Oil Soap. I have dealt with body odor the majority of my adult life. I have tried tons of different soaps that would seem to help only temporarily . I would sometimes take two showers a day and after sweating this 'funk' smell would start to form in my groin. Frankly it was embarrassing! A couple of weeks ago I decided to end this so I did research on different soaps. The all natural aspect of Dr. Bronner's was the original thing that brought me to the product but then doing further research on the benefits of Tea Tree Oil was what really sealed the deal for me. The anti-microbial,anti-fungal & anti-bacterial aspect of the soap is really evident. I have used it daily for a week and that 'funk' in my groin is completely gone. Even after a long day at work I get home and there is no odor. I'm completely impressed with this product, the people at Dr. Bronner's have gained a life-long customer!

EDIT: A month later I am still odor free!! I'm just thrilled to have finally found a solution to this years old problem. I also started using Jungleman All-Natural Deodorant which contains Tea Tree Oil and it's excellent as well.

Curved Rectangle Tray Wood Soap Dish

I've had this for more than 4 months to give it a good try out. I did not purchase it for soap, but my experience could stand up for that as well. The wood stands up well; there is no sign of deterioration either.

I wanted something I could put my kitchen sponges on and let them dry without sticking to the kitchen counter or with one side staying damp. This absolutely works perfectly and believe me I am not a good "squeezer-outer" so the sponge when it goes back on these wooden slats is pretty damp.

It is about 3/4" high, 3 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" long.

This works wonderful, keeps things dry, looks unique and best of all does the job.

I love this soap dish. Easy to wash off counter, for any liquid that runs through. I HATE soap dishes where soap sits in gummy yucky water and on top of that, those types are harder to clean than just wiping a surface. It,s attractive, well made, not splintery & looks nice on your counters. To top it off, they don't charge for shipping, my kind of place!
