I am a total fan of this soap. I have tried & use others when I cannot locate this soap & they are quite good but, my first choice is always the soap from Fernwood. I am sorry I have told my sister & friends about it because it seems I do not see this soap online for sale often so they take from my stash. This soap is the only thing my boyfriend will use on his face. It's gentle enough to keep his face soft and strong enough to get it cleanhe works in the oil fields, so he gets real dirty. This is my second order from this company. The soap is awesome. I make liquid soap with it and add a little coconut oil and a couple of drops of tea tree oil and wash my hair with it. This amount should last me quite awhile. I have also used it to make a mask by adding some honey to it. My skin looks so soft and is clearing up tremendously. CLEAN, that's what you are after washing with this soap! A very generous size for a very reasonable price. I like to wash my hair with it, too. My hair squeaks with cleanliness! The only down-side, if you could even call it that, because it probably isn't to a great many people, is the smell. It just smells like a lye soap. But hey, I'm good with usually some of my homemade lotions for scent! I will buy this again!
I have probably spent thousands of dollars over the years on product after product . Shame on me! I stumbled upon this soap in the grocery store and thought " Let me try this on my face, since another soap I had been using by another line was discontinued " Within in days( no exaggeration) my adult little patch of acne cleared up, my skin was fresh as never before, and I keep hearing from people " You are Glowing." It may sound funny to get this kind of review from a sixty year old retired firefighter. I used to buy Yardley in the grocery stores in the early seventies. It is French milled which makes it last longer and I find the scent very relaxing. It was shipped to me in just a few days and I think it is a good value compared to soaps you get at the store even considering the cost of shipping.

Over 5 years ago Yardley of London English Lavender changed their soap and toilet water formulas. I had to stop using the toilet water because it made me break out, and the soap didn't smell the same and was no longer an olive green but cream color. This soap is still the reformulated cream, but the scent is stronger and it's labeled Yardley of London English Lavender, not Yardley Lavender. I have no idea what the difference is, but this is far superior to the latter. The size is smaller than I thought. The quality of this soap is average and I definitely it is not pure neem oil.
Works well, smells fine (what is that other guy talking about) but the main thing is that it lathers better than the Dove extra fresh scent. Very happy with it, doesn't melt quickly or anything.

This travel-size castille soap is handy, but the scents are superior in Dr. Bronners Castillo soaps, which also come in travel size. Depends on yor taste, but consistency is the same for both.
I bought several of these, as I like to layer the fragrance. It's exactly the way I remember the fragrance to be.

The product shipped in good condition and the scent was divine. As for the damage it was negligible. The soap is an excellent buy and I plan to go back and get more if it is still available. The only negative is the high shipping and handling but when you put it together with the cost of the soap it even out.
I have had a lot of problems with oily skin and sebum secretions. I get occasional acne on my back and chin. This bar of soap is hard to find, but worth the search. I don't have to use anything else to keep my skin free of blemishes. I use it daily and swear by it. If you have these problems...try this product. I notice people with OILY skin problems are discussing this product but I have the dryest skin and HAIR of all persons on earth. $200-300 dollar creams don't help and neither do doctor's prescriptions but this stuff DOES. Don't ignore this part of the claim ...Bentonite helps your skin retain its natural moisture. Leave my hands soft and I slapped it on my hair and it left my hair soft too (far better than the shampoo they do offer the soap doesn't have the lousy Sodium Laureth which is the cheap suds found in most shampoos). Does it cure eczema and psoriasis? NO I have not seen evidence of that yet but I'm on my first bar. What I'd like to know is what about the Conditioner? My boyfriend never asks for me to find a product. I am a product guru and I was suprised when he begged me to find this. He has severe exzema and we have tried everything. He uses the soap as a whole body cleanser and it does not aggitate his exzema. I use it all the time for a face cleanser when I am feeling a pimple come on; I usually have dry skin and this doesn't make me feel dry; actually it is cleansing without stripping the moisture. It is very drying and I do not recommend it at all for someone with sensitive/oily skin. You will find yourself reaching for the moisturizer more than one should, however if you want to use it for your body then its not a bad product. Oh yeah before I forget there is a smell to it, not bad, but herbal.
I can say that both this and the raw Black soapworks the same because while I tried this particular type of BLACK SOAP first, (having used it in the past, knowing its results. I used it often purchased at my local beauty supply store, or the "oil & incense" man on the side street who also sells this item). Wow, I am compelled to write a review after reading the previous reviewer's comment. I have been using this stuff for about 4 years now and I think it's great! It is made of completely natural ingredients earning the highest score by EWC skin deep (a non-profit that rates the dangers of chemicals in cosmetics), it's cheaper than Dr. Bronners, and it's not at all watered down as the previous reviewer writes. I mix half soap half water in a smaller pump bottle and this large container usually lasts me almost six months--and my watered down mixture is perfectly sufficient. I also find that other products made by this brand are completely natural. They use truly natural ingredients--if you actually take the time to read the ingredients list and compare to other "natural" products I think you'll find this brand is better in that department. I also use their ginger toothpaste and their unscented face wash and moisturizer. I would highly recommend!

Ko Denmark's jasmine body wash is divine. I ordered some as a gift for my wife and it was a huge hit. The fragrance is light and delicate and 100% natural. I have used this product in the past, when a friend used to bring it to me from Brazil. It's been a while. I loved this soap because of the wonderful rose fragrance that ultimately gave way to patchoui. The four bars I received smell neither of roses, nor particularly of patchouli. Not sure how to describe it. Dissappointing.
I really like this soap with natural antifungal/bacterial properties. The only drawback is the time and expense of getting it.
