These little bars lather well, but I have the feeling they aren't very fresh, as there is no scent other than a rather 'waxy" one. Kiss My Face Pure Olive Oil Bar Soap Fragrance Free
I started to use this soap head to toe over a year ago when I first saw signs of eczema. This was the only soap that didn't irritate my skin while keeping it clean. I look for simple ingredients and this fits the bill. My whole family uses it head to toe, including my 4 year old and we all love it. It is especially good for dry skin as well. This soap doesn't sud much but it still cleans very well. I use this as a hand soap and also brush my teeth with it.This works well as a tooth soap as it doesn't have that sour taste that regular soaps have, and it's not alkali and abrasive to my teeth and gums so I can use this soap on a regular basis for clean teeth. I stopped using toothpaste as the glycerin in regular (even organic) toothpastes give me sensitive teeth.

It was much less than 100 years ago that the major brands of bar soap that were marketed around the country were made out of vegetable oil -think, for instance, the original Palmolive -and Kirk's Castile must have had its place among those lathering luminaries.I'm not a soap historian so I don't know exactly when or why the manufacturers switched to using tallow for their formulations (maybe it was cheaper to obtain?, maybe easier to work with?) but in any case they all attempted to outdo each other by advertising those bars of tallow soap with various gimmicks using newfangled technology. There was deodorant soap, 'beauty' soap, 'mild' soap for your babies, and so forth. In the process, their original products were all superseded.
Nevertheless, when I first became aware of Kirk's Castile Soap (mid 1970s) it was still a brand of Proctor and Gamble and could still be found in supermarkets in some places, where it was the largest (in size) bar on the shelves, and also the least expensive. P & G did not, however, advertise it or try to market it aggressively in any way.
Today none of the facts in the above paragraph may still be the case, but what remains true is that this soap produces the greatest lather of anything you've ever used, and washes both your body and your hair very effectively (yet gently).
That, kids, is your brief soap lecture for today. Remember to wash behind your ears, rinse your hair until it squeaks, and use vegetable oil soap so you can go about your business without your pores being clogged by greasy renderings from cattle, and so that you may carry the vague fragrance of the tropics with you instead of the unsubtle scents synthesized from petroleum.

I tried three bars of the scented soap and the scent aggravated my allergies. The only difference in the formula between the scented and unscented versions of the soap is the scent-everthing else is the same. I loved the lather!! I ordered the eighteen pack of unscented and I have had several very nice showers! I highly recommend this soap!1) it lathers nicely and feels very gentle on the skin. Rinses completely and leaves the skin soft and NOT ITCHY!
2) After five showers the bar of soap looks new. There were a couple of complaints in reviews for this soap that it just shrunk down to nothing very quickly: I didn't see any problem.
3) If worried about cost-per-shower of the soap buy MANY bars at once. Remember, old soap is cheap soap. Not only did you probably pay a lower cost two years ago but the soap has been sitting on the shelf slowly drying. The result: when you unwrap an old bar it lathers the cloth nicely but the bar doesn't shrink/dissolve as fast. So, more showers per bar of soap!
Have courage: Buy a large amount. I can't imagine you not liking it, but if you don't, you can give this soap as a gift to someone or donate to charity. But, I think you will like it!!!

**I use this for filling cavities, not for caps, so that is what my review is about**Original Review:
This product lasted for about one month before coming out so that was a plus especially in these hard economic times. I haven't been able to get to the dentist so this product saved me.
The only issue I have is that it's disgusting. Even with brushing and rinsing, the taste is very strong. After the 3rd day the taste went away. If you follow the instructions the way they are stated, you will be fine. But you have to work fast because this stuff hardens within 1 minute. I would practice 1st if I were you.

I wasn't clear in my initial review. Each application of the filling repair lasted 1 month (if you take it easy on the chewing) because you only need a little. You will not use the entire container in one month, but probably in 3 months or longer. It comes with 6 containers, so it will last 1-2½ years if you are lucky. In my experience, if the tooth is on the bottom, the product will last a lot longer than on a top tooth. And if the cavity is on an angle or on the side of the tooth, it won't work so good. It says to apply 1-2 hours before eating, but I always apply it at night before bed to ensure that it has hardened. By the way, the picture shows the actual size of the containers-they are tiny. Lastly, some people had difficulties using this product, but instead of them trying, they blame their hard time on the product. It is not the product's fault you didn't follow instructions. I breezed through this every time because I got through the learning curve and know how to use it. This is a great product when you actually try.
*Again, this only applies if you take it easy on the chewing. If you are eating steak or chewing gum regularly, you will probably replace this often. And I guess if you go over it with an electric toothbrush, it may break up. You'll probably want to go over it with a manual toothbrush to be safe*
Hint: If I have a deep cavity, I take 2 toothpicks and mash the product down in my tooth alternating between the toothpicks back and forth. Mash down with #1, mash down with #2, repeat until it is tightly filled etc...

Just got this in the mail three days ago and ordered it for similar reasons to the other reviews.I got a root canal done last year and literally learned afterwards that my insurance company considered it "cosmetic" surgery and didn't pay for a dime. Needless to say that landed me a $700 bill I just couldnt afford.
After the root canal the dentist put on a "temp" filling to keep the cavity closed until a hard cap could be put on [$1400 dollars]. The temp filling just started to ware down low enough that the tooth was becoming sensitive again and bothered me from time to time.
I followed the directions and used the Dentemp and it's been excellent. Once it hardens [hour or so after you apply it] you can chew on the tooth with no issue. Perfect for some borrowed time until I can get the tooth extracted.
The only downside to the product is the ackward taste it puts in your mouth for a few days. The actual texture of the hardened product feels chalky [when you touch it with your tongue] and anytime my tongue does brush against it I get a bitter taste. You will get used to the texture and after a few days I forgot it was there.
Great product and the price is excellent considering how much you get.This works better than the temporary filling I received from my former dentist. Work great. My suggestion is to first brush your teeth and not to just rinse your mouth out with warm water and second, apply before you go to bed so that you won't mess up the temporary filling by talking and so that it will have a longer time to set before you eat on it.

I tried this product on a simple loose cap despite many poor internet reviews. I should have paid attention. This stuff is useless. I am an engineer with over 40 years of experience, including the use of adhesives. I followed the preparation and application directions flawlessly. Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood Shave Soap in Wooden Bowl
This Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood shave soap smells good in the wooden bowl, but the scent is practically lost when you lather it up and put it on your face. I love the wooden bowl -I take it right into the shower with me and the soap lathers up nicely -though you have to work at it. This is a hard, triple-milled soap so you might want to let hot water sit in the bowl for a few minutes before you use it. You also need to work it for awhile to really get a thick lather. But when you do, you'll be rewarded with a smooth shave.When I'm done using it in the shower, I rinse off the bowl, pop on the top, and put it in the drawer by the sink. It's then ready to go for the next day. Sweet.
The price of the bowl and soap is reasonable, and refills of just the soap are about $8.00. That's not going to break the bank (and if you get it as a gift, it's even better). ;-)
In short, this is a good serviceable soap at a decent price. If you use an aftershave or cologne, this scent is mild enough not to interfere in any way.
If you prefer a stronger scent, I've tried the Crabtree & Evelyn Sienna and that scent seems to be more intense -though not overpowering. Both are fine products.
Great shave soap though, you will not be dissapointed, great lather and lingering aroma!
