I absolutely love this product. It makes my skin so soft and touchable. I also use it to shampoo my hair. I am African AMerican, with natural hair---It leave my hair soft, even after rinsing the product.My hair is so much healthier and shiny since I have been using. You wont be disappointed. I've been looking for something to use for a shampoo that doesn't have sulfates in it, because I have seborrheic dermatitis which every shampoo I have tried seems to aggravate. even the so-called sulfate free products don't help much. This stuff works GREAT! I don't have to use conditioner either. It says on the bottle you can use it for body wash and shampoo. I was suprised by the complaints about the odor, because I think that it smells good, but perhaps that's just a matter of preference.

I've been through so many different facial cleansers, and finally found one I have stuck with for awhile now. This Pure Black Soap with Organic Shea Butter is great!

MY SKIN:

My face is combination. In winter months, it gets very dry and flaky. The rest of the year, it is very oily and I am prone to lots of blackheads with the occasional larger pimple.

EFFICACY:

This soap works so well with my skin. It dries it out in the winter, still, but the least of any other cleansers I've tried. It cleans away dirt and oil so well, and leaves my skin feeling soft.

SCENT:

Smells odd, but smells clean. Not at all fruity or floral, but hard to describe.

OTHER USES:

It says you can use it on hair, body, in laundry, and to clean your home. So far, I use it as a facial cleanser. I tried it on my hair, but it didn't produce very good results. Takes a lot to clean my hair, and makes it very static-prone.

CONSISTENCY:

This soap is a little runny, but pours out of the bottle easily that way. You don't get a ton of lather, but the right amount to cleanse well.

I LOVE:

The ingredients! NO parabens, artificial scents, weird unpronounceable chemicals...it is just natural which is fantastic.

OVERALL:

I recommend this to those who desire a natural facial cleanser that doesn't horribly over-dry in the winter, but cleanses fully in hot, sticky weather.

I bought this product cause it was recommended to me and I had always been a consumer of Dr. Bronner liquid soaps. It is mild in fragrance and the shea butter ingredient is a good thing for dry skin. I do recommend this product and the 32 oz bottle seemed to be the best price for the money.

Let me first say I bought this product in JUNE and I'm doing a review now so I can give the product a decent chance on working. I have oily, acne prone skin, with acne scars...or better yet HAD acne scars. I have NOT broken out since I started using this product as a face and body wash. There are only two products in my bathroom. Bronner's and coconut oil. I shower, brush my teeth, shampoo with Bronner's, and condition with coconut oil.

Great stuff, will cut just about any oil, grime, or stain from fabric or your person. Also, doesn't bleach out fabrics or dry out your skin or hair, nor will it leave greasy, waxy residue. It's a little pricey but is hard to beat. It's cheaper here than in any store that I've seen it in, at least for this amount. Compared to usually only being able find it in a quart size, at most.

Marilyn Miglin Pheromone Soap

OK I should probably be giving myself a bad rating here because I foolishly ordered this soap thinking it had pheromones in it.

WRONG! Its just a fragrance CALLED "Pheromone". Boy do I feel dumb but Im still rating this a one for "false advertising". It reminds me of that perfume called Opium that was banned in australia because it didn't have any drugs in it. Jeez.

After my local stores stopped carrying this product, I was elated to find it on Amazon.com. When I ordered this I was just expecting to receive 3 bars of soap, but when it arrived, I was happy to see there were 9 bars total (3 packs of 3), so the price was even better than expected and better than I was paying at the store. As it turns out, I've found my skin to not like most soaps on the market, and Dial for Men does not give me any irritations, or overly powerful scents. As for the grit, while it's not as rough as LAVA soap (thankfully) it does provide a better scrub than non-gritted soaps.

All in all, I am happy with this product.

I thought this would be the same as Irish Spring Clean Scrub and was a better deal so I bought it. It is a good deal and it works well, just not as exfoliating as the Clean Scrub. Amazon shipping is always amazing.

Seasons Dulhan Henna Powder

I buy this for $1.99 at Indian grocery. This henna was within date, but approaching the expiration. The addition of alma in this henna mix means that this darkens as well as dyes your hair red. This is nice because lighter brown hair turns more mahogany or copper than orange.

I use this henna to make a strong gloss. I add a tablespoon of lemon to several tablespoons of powder and add conditioner until it becomes a thick yogurt-like consistency. I have tried using this powder without and acid twice, but the color change was too subtle. Now I add lemon and leave the paste in for an hour to add a red tint to my light-medium brown hair. I don't really like the smell of this paste, so adding an essential oil to the mix might be a nice touch. I plan to use lavender oil in the future.

**Remember to always to a test strand before using a new package of henna or using a different vinegar source.

It has enough oil to help dry skin without being overly oily. The small poppy seeds act like a gentle exfolliant, and the rich but clean aroma makes your morning shower a wonderful experience. Pricey, but well worth the cost, and it lasts a long time as it's quite a large bar. I am also getting ready to try another of their products, the same soap but in pineapple. I have three varieties of palmolive soap. I have the pearl extract, aloe and olive, citrus and cream. I haven't gotten around the citrus yet. Comparing it to the pearl extract this isn't as drying. Don't expect to be moisturized like dove but this soap does a decent job. I like dove but sometimes I feel it leaves too much residue. I don't feel as fresh and clean as I'd like. This soap does the job. I even wash my face with it before my moisturizer and I've gotten no breakouts. So I am pleased. I like the scent. It's like the original green palmolive but fresher. Light clean fragrance.

Purchased Palmolive Naturals Smooth and Moisture Aloe and Olive Extract soap several days ago and what a find!

Was using Dove, but it was drying my skin. Palmolive does not do that. Makes my skin very smooth and fresh. Good scent too. Definitely a five star soap for me. I think I will stick with this one for a while.

Buy Basis for sensitive skin at your local grocery/pharmacy. It's got the same anti-chlorine ingredient, is cheaper and more convenient to obtain.

At first I wasn't sure if this soap would be any better than regular moisturizing soaps. But on my skin it works as advertised to rinse pool chemicals away and leave my skin feeling great even after being in the pool for an hour. I bought another bar since, I'm convinced this is a good product.

Lap swimming three times a week in the local public pool suddenly began to give me dermatitis issues. I ordered the chlorine neutralizing bar soap, not available locally, to use in conjunction with anti-chlorine shampoo. I gave this soap a try as a way to combat chlorine, and it did not disappoint. It lathers well (even in hard water) and rinses clean, and that's most of what I look for in a soap.

When I opened the box, the fragrance seemed extremely strong and perfume-y. However, the smell has diminished considerably over just a few weeks. In fact, even when I used it in the shower for the first time the smell wasn't as strong as it had been upon opening the box. I guess that would be a minus if you like fragrance with staying power, but I'm happy to use the least-scented things I can.

The ingredient list is fairly short:

Saponified Olive, Coconut and Palm Oils; Distilled Water; Soymilk, Fragrance, Color, Chlorine Neutralizer.

It doesn't say what the chlorine neutralizer IS, however, and also doesn't identify the fragrance or color used. Fortunately I haven't gotten either sinus symptoms or dermatitis from it, so it doesn't seem to use anything too noxious.

The soap itself does not dry out my skin, but it isn't moisturizing. If you have problems with dry skin, do still use a moisturizer post-shower.

It's definitely worth a try.

I swim at my local "Y" three times a week, and have started using this soap in addition to my chlorine removal shampoo and conditioner. The bar has a subtle scent, not too much lather, and is long lasting. Though my legs still itch occasionally, I chalk that up to winter dryness more than improper chlorine removal. Castile Beauty Soap with Olive Oil -3.9oz

This soap is amazing. I suffer with bad acne for years and to make matters worst, I have a habit of popping them which leaves marks on my face. I have been to a few Dermatologists and they gave me so many types of face washes, creams and pills. Nothing seem to work. I went to an international market and ran into this soap.
