Ultra Glow Black Soap 99.2G

This soap is the best, it does it all. If you have acne, blemishes, dark spots, dry skin, you name it this soap cures it. I'm a woman who loves trying new face washes but by far this stuff is the best kept "secret" and is dirt cheap.I'm African American with combination skin, and my face doesn't feel tight after I wash it, or oily hours later. I had a couple of small pimples on my forehead and cheek. After 2 days, you can barely see them and my face looks much brighter! The scent is not overpowering or strong, it is very light. Actually, it smells similar to licorice.

I plan on getting another bar for my shower so this soap can clear up the dark spots on my back and shoulders left by acne scars. The only gripe, and this is incredibly minor, is that you may need to wipe off the counter if any of the lather gets on your sink or the walls of your shower. It is not staining or damaging though.

I highly recommend, and am surprised there aren't more reviews for this product.

I have been using ultra glow product for awhile now, so I decided to try the black soap since the other soaps worked well for me. BIG MISTAKE! the black soap broke me out. I had small red bumps all over my face. It is too strong for me. The regular ultra glow and the shea butter soap is the best in my opinion.

I have very sensitive skin, and have in the past tried a variety of soaps to deal with various issues: I would break out a lot on my face. The skin on my legs was regularly so dry that when I took off a pair of dark pants, the insides were covered in a "dust" of flaked-off skin. (Yuck!) Add regular itching just about anywhere from the skin being too dry.

A friend gave me a bar of Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap to try, and it is wonderful. No more dusty skin. It moisturizes my face in a way that doesn't encourage oil. Skin feels good without getting the sort of slippery feel that many moisturizing soaps leave.

Just great stuff.

Nature's Gate Liquid Soap, Acai (16 Oz) ( Multi-Pack)

I need a sulfate free soap since everything else irritates my skin. This stuff smells so natural and so wonderful that it gives me the strong urge to want to eat it. I've tried the Dove brand of liquid soap but there's no comparison. Their liquid soap has a terribly awful chemical smell.

I actually thought I was getting the body wash while ordering this, but that was my mistake. Otherwise, this soap smells great and it doesn't dry my hands out, but rather leaves them soft. Not much difference from my body wash (save from a hydrating ingredient or two) which I really love--if only I could find it. I especially love the ingredients of this product, topped with the high antioxidants of acai. The price is great, too.

Amazon, please carry more of the acai body wash and lotion before I go mental-er!

Okay, this is very nice soap. Has a crisp, almost spicy fragrance. But it's not violet!

Maybe the design of pansies pictured on the wrapper should tip us off, although this soap's scent does not remotely resemble Claus Porto's Wild Pansy soap.

But, violet this soap is not. A pleasant item to have in the bathtub/shower, and anyone selling as well as buying would think that's assuredly a violet aroma since it's what the wrapper's name proclaims. Other soap manufactuers do indeed have their own version of violet -whether it's Violette de Toulouse, Claus Porto Foxtrot, or the now defunct and much missed Puhl/Verly brand of Wild Violet. All differ slightly in essence, but they are all recognizably violet.

This soap's frangrance isn't.
