Soaps for Dry and Sensitive Skin - 3 Bar Pack

I wanted to try this because my eczema is so bad in winter.

I've tried all sorts of soaps, and things like Aveeno and Tom's bar soap with olive oil for the shower, and I want to avoid using cortisone cream or anything stronger on my cracked, weeping skin.

Maybe this will work. I'm trying it for my hands,

but--I just can't get past the smell.

That's unusual for me. I use, and love, the SSS beeswax moisturizer, and don't mind the smell, though it is a bit medicinal.

But I don't like smelling that way all over when I get out of the shower. :(

I've had to cut back to every other day showers, and never use really hot water, and get out ASAP.

I'll keep trying and let you know, but for now, three stars for not making the dry skin worse

(which is saying something...),

and minus two for the smell.

This soap is very moisturizing but after a few days use the oat pieces stick out and are really scratchy.

I am chemically sensitive and have extremely dry skin in the winter. I've been searching for a SLS-free soap made with all-natural ingredients without lavender which I'm allergic to. I thought I'd give this product a try, even though it was not rated, and no where does it state the SIZE of the bar even on the manufacturers website. I was fearfully expecting itty bitty hotel soaps! Well I'm measuring a bar in front of me now and it is a 3" x 1" x 1-7/8" rectangle. It's comparable in size to a 4oz. bar of soap a little small for the price, but not too bad.

I ordered the 'Butter Bar,' best for moisturizing, and it has a very mild pleasant herbal smell. Ingredients for this bar are: Saponified Organic Oils of Palm, Coconut, Olive and Palm Kernel, Raw Shea Butter, Organic Calendula Extract, and Rosemary Extract. I test-drove this soap on a day I worked in the garden and scrubbed my hands a dozen times at least. Normally my hands would have been cracked and drying out, but this soap moisturizes great they were still smooth at the end of the day. It's great in the shower though not as many bubbles as you'd expect from a toxic-bar-of-soap. Best of all my skin doesn't tighten right up after I dry off now.

I wish I could find something exactly like this sold more economically, but if I can't, I will definitely buy this soap again. It is awesome.

I have suffered with acne and oily skin for year. I'm 31 years old, been to dermatologist, tried proactive, even taken medicine prescribed by doctors. Nothing changed. I would recommend this for people who have oily skin. It cleans amazingly well, and I didn't knock a star off for the drying because I just follow with a moisturizer. I really wish I would have discovered this before when my skin was really oily.

I ordered this product because it is one of a few products that my son can use on his sensitive skin. I received the order on time but I ordered 2 bars of soap but only one bar was in the box along with a lot of foam peanuts to take up space. I thought the other bar would maybe come in the mail later, but two weeks have passed and nothing.... I will never order from this company again and do not recommend them.

Correction: The seller has contacted me and has sent out the missing order. So I am changing my rating to excellent (5 stars on the product and 5 stars on customer service too.)

I bought this product a little over 3 weeks ago and was surprised at how fast it arrived in the mail (it arrived 2 days earlier than the predicted date). I first heard about the soap from a young, Israelian guy at the mall who was selling the Seacret products to people who walked by. After seeing how well the Seacret nail buffer worked on my nails and hearing him talk about the soap and how it would "clear all of the black spots and blackheads on my face" i figured that I would give it a try and see how well it would work for me. I decided to look for it online since it was WAY to expensive at the mall ($30 for one bar!!!) and i was relieved to see that Amazon was selling it for only $10 dollars. After 3 weeks of using this product, I have seen no improvement on my skin. When you first use the bar in the shower, it makes your skin feel clean and fresh and leaves it with smooth, tight feeling, but the feeling wears off within 30 minutes for me. I don't know if it's just me and my skin type or if I'm doing something wrong, but this bar doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe it works for some other people, but I have seen little to no improvement to my skin at all. I really don't think I'll buy this product again...

Organic Hemp Oil Tea Tree Shampoo Soap Bar 5.7 Oz

Creates a nice rich lather, makes hair smoother than regular shampoo, only has natural essential oils. The only minus is that it itches in the eyes, while an organic regular tea tree shampoo does not.

The sole review when I tried this shampoo soap stated that it left a gummy residue behind. I decided to take shot, since I prefer shampoo bars over bottles that have to be manufactured and recycled (and you can never get all of it out of the bottle...). For me this shampoo bar has been great. The first time I used it the texture did seem strange on my hair, but that must have been an interaction with what I was using before; every shampoo since has left my hair soft and clean with no residue that I can feel. It's lasting well in the shower, and I'm very happy with it. For those with scent-sitivities, however, note that the rosemary oil (at least in my bar) is very strong-smelling in the shower. I like it, but it might be too strong for you. I have not noticed a strong smell remaining on my hair after rinsing. I'm hoping Amazon continues to carry this shampoo bar as a Prime item.

was trying to find a shampoo bar to replace basin shampoo bars which are small and expensive. this is ok as soap but it leaves your hair feeling gummy, much like a common bar of ivory which is much less expensive for the same effect. like that it has some hemp in it!

Thylox Acne Soap 3.25 Ounces

I started to use this soap as an alternate soap to Nubian Heritage's African Black Soap, because it did not cause my face to be as dry and tight as the African Black Soap. However, after subsequent uses, my face no longer felt dry and tight, which was a big relief for me. It got rid of my mild facial acne pretty quickly, and I don't need to follow up with moisturizer due to dryness and tightness. It also helped with my facial oiliness, and it lathers very well. This soap also lightened dark areas on my face. I had been struggling to remove dark patches on my face due to using harsh or too strong products, and this soap actually made my skin tone look more even. I had no idea it was even capable of doing this. I originally purchased Nubian Heritage Coconut & Papaya soap to moisturize my face and remove these dark spots; however, I only used the soap a few times. I noticed that the acne soap was doing what I wanted the Coconut & Papaya soap to do, so there is basically no need for me to use the Coconut & Papaya soap at the moment. The acne soap also smells great, and it is not an overwhelming smell. I honestly don't think it smells like sulfur either. It is pretty hard to describe the smell though. Also, please be careful when using this soap. Although the directions on the box clearly instruct users to avoid getting the soap in their eyes, I have been careless on a few occasions, and some of it got in my eye. It will sting pretty badly.

This soap works great to clear blemishes and is a great price but it smells awful. Joesoef(yes this is the correct spelling) skincare carries a sulfur based soap that smells much better and works just as well although it is more expensive.

This soap works to a point, cleared up my acne a little bit, I still get breakout but not as bad as i used to, it's partly my fault cause my family is known for having overly oily skin bad acne problems.

This soap smells awful, you kinda get used to it but then again you don't want to go around smelling like rotted eggs.

WARNING!! The Sulfur part of this soap will tarnish certain jewelry metals, I have had two silver rings and a silver and stainless neckless cross turn black after using this soap regularly . sulfur is known for blackening of certain metals...

My skin is extremely oily and prone to blackheads. I have tried expensive cleansers, Proactiv, Murad, Retin-A, and a myriad of products containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Some of these products overdried my skin, which subsequently led to more oil production and blackheads, the others were just ineffective. I stumbled across this soap and decided to give it a try, and I am glad that I did. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and so far so good. There is a noticeable improvement in my skin's texture AND no blackheads. I hope the effects of this soap last. I smell a hint of sulfur but nothing too pungent. I have ordered more and will continue to use this product that has made a world of difference in my skin for such a low price. For anyone suffering from moderate acne with pesky blackheads, I would advise them to give this product a try.

I am in my early 40s and bought this soap after reaching my wits end with what I chalked up as adult acne but a few days before consulting with a dermatologist. Without my mentioning Grandpa's sulfur soap, my dermatologist wrote a prescription for a prescription strength sulfur soap, stating that the sulfur has antiseptic properties and kills the bacteria that collects on my face and, along with oil, clogs the pores. I use both the prescription strength and Grandpa's sulfur soap once each a day. I find the lather of Grandpa's better removes the traces of oil and makeup from the day so I use it at night before going to bed. I have not had one break out since. However, I was hopeful that it would reduce the production of oil but I don't find it the least bit overdrying as some have previously indicated.
