I can use this product on my body, not my face, without the usual resulting dry skin of most soaps. It smells good, a bit overpowering when first unwrapped, but once it's been used the smell abates to pleasant. The bar itself is pretty with a subtle marbled relief running though it and is designed in a shape well-suited for the average woman's hand...not that men won't like it too, but I can only speak from my own experience.

Bought this for my nephew who is all about having cash in his pocket (he's six) and he loved this! I think the day he got it, he washed his hands like 5 times. Also, in addition to being a different type of product, it also smells good.

I'm rating it low because of poor packaging. Considering the nature of the product, it should be packaged better. I bought one of these a while back as a fun small gag gift for my husband. It was a lot of fun, the soap smelled great and seemed to last a long time. Of course, you should only expect a dollar.

I bought another one for a seven year old a couple days ago which arrived this morning. Somewhere in between the seller and it getting to my house, somebody gouged out the money. The soap was slipped back into the box in such a way that it wasn't obvious that someone had gouged a hole in the soap. The packaging is a cheap box. The box made it easy to pull out, steal the money and sneak the destroyed soap back. Luckily, a chip of the soap fell out and I had checked on the soap before gifting it to anyone. Amazon has already processed my refund so I'm not out any money. They offered a replacement but I thought it best to get something else. My fear in this product is that this could easily be a reoccurring problem. It's a hassle to ship something back for a refund. Additionally, I don't want multiple returns on a product like this to create any stigma on my Amazon account. I have better things to do than gouge dollar bills out of soap bars and I don't want my account flagged because someone else is doing this. I'm not sure if they "flag accounts" or not but I don't see any reason in messing with it for this product. What really irritated me is Amazon didn't make any report of this to their distribution center. As far as I know, no report was made to the seller either. If the possibility of this happening doesn't concern you, it really is a unique and fun product.

Olivella Face & Body Soap Bath Soaps

Italian olive oil is a decadent pleasure. This lovely soap has all the wonderful emolient qualities of that wonderful olive oil. The description of the product neglected to mention if this soap was scented. I'm delighted to say that it is. I'm not sure what the scent is from but it is lovely. A great soap for showering. Worth the price!

I have used olive oil bar soap for years. I wanted to try this liquid soap because it's less messy. Unfortunately, "You can't have your cake and eat it too." Olive oil bar soap is nothing but olive oil and a bit of fragrance. This liquid is full of chemicals including heavy, artificial fragrance. If you want pure, this isn't it. Stick with the bars.

I tried this as a replacement for my soap in the shower. The smell is overwhelming and it doesn't suds up well in the shower. I did not notice a difference after the shower with my skin. Felt the same as if I had used regular bar soap with strong lingering smell.

I discovered this maybe about 6-7 years ago and have used it steady for the last 5 years. It is so gentle to the skin, never leaves my face feeling drawn. It cleans the whole body very well without harsh deodorant.

It has a wonderful soft fragrance that is unisex. I have really bad asthma and it doesn't bother me one bit.

I will give you a heads up when you have it delivered in the Winter it turns almost cloudy like milk. This is normal as it is an all natural product. When you leave it out at room temp it will turn back to the beautiful golden color and it will not be harmed. I called the company last year thinking I had the wrong product. So don't worry if that happens.

I don't think you will be disappointed with it. I have given it as gifts in the bar form and this form and people have loved it.

I ordered this set expecting a mild soap that could be used on face and body. I wasn't expecting the very strongly scented soap, akin to Irish Spring or other bar soaps. I certainly wasn't going to use this on my face. So I put the bottles in the shower. My husband seems to like it, and the soap does seem to have a smooth texture and lathers nicely. But the bathroom smells of this for a long time afterwards. It's a clean smell, I suppose, but very strong.

I was at bath and body works and got reeled into this one. I was going to buy some strawberry soap and the girl said this had a different smell to it if i felt more adventurous. I sniffed the bottle and sure enough it had a nice twangy smell. What I didn't think of was that with full on washing my hands with the stuff it may be a bit too much. Now every time i wash my hands it smells like some college kid puked up happy hour in my dressing room. I honestly get nauseated. Way too tart. This is the first time I ever disliked a scent at bath and body works. I am not a picky customer but I honestly can't wait for the bottle to end so I can switch to a different scent.

I am not exaggerating. It really takes me back to a night in college where i drank one too many sex of the beaches and found myself hugging the porcelain god at waffle house.

Love my new washing routine! These soap nuts really do a good job! Prior to this I bought borax and washing soda and added a little of both to my washer before starting a load along with a little shredded soap and a splash of shout stain treater. But now I toss in my little muslin bag with 3-4 nuts in it, and my magnet ball from Norwex, (softens water) and I am done. Load after load, these two items stay in the washer, I load my clothes and hit start. They come out and smell clean. I am really impressed!

This is my first experience with soap nuts and I really want them to work. I have tried everything but they do not seem to be getting the job done. Even the load of wash that are not difficult, I have become concerned that I am simply washing them with water. First of all they did not come with the complimentary cotton wash bag. I bought some separately. I have used between three and seven soap nuts with the same results. Sometimes I suspect they may be working because there is occasionally a sticky residue that requires an additional rinse cycle. I tried them with a small load of cloth diapers with horrible results. They did nothing to get rid of the stains or smells. I tried them with my two year old's clothes that had urine on them. It did not get rid of the smell. I made the tea by soaking the nuts in hot water before using them with colds. This is the only load that I cannot officially complain about because the clothes really did not smell that bad to begin with. Although when I smell my armpits, I start to believe that it also did not work in these situations. I want to use soap nuts but I do not think this is the company to buy from or the soap nuts to use unless I got a bad batch. If anyone has suggestions, I will gladly take them.

I actually purchased these to bring my Amazon total purchase price up, to qualify for supersaver shipping. I had seen them before and was interested, but had forgotten about them. Amazon suggests that I add so many more dollars to bring my total dollars spent to qualify,so I search for items within that price range, lo and behold soap nuts in a small package. Perfect, I decide this is a good size and price to try. I have done two loads of colored cold water laundry large capacity. The first came out smelling like a different kind of clean (I mean this in a good way) the next was a comforter that had been in storage and had a funky smell, no more funky smell! I also boiled a handful (as I saw in a helpful YouTube video) and am currently trying the liquid for dishes, and can't wait to try for washing my hair. Packaging was a good choice in my opinion, a simple paper bag, taped closed. They were also shipped promptly and arrived in 2-3 days. Even at a small package which means more money, they were still the best value I could see listed. Of course if you buy the bigger packages save even more money, which I'm sure I will be doing. We in India use these soap berries as shampoo for hair. when I looked at amazon for these I found that these are used as detergent. Today I used it for both. I washed my hair and my clothes too.I must say I am pretty satisfied. The later is quite wonderful. I boiled just about 10 berries and used as shampoo for entire family of four and laundry. I ordered it from the seller "The Best Mom Shop" and received an email the next day that said they had run out and thought they would be getting more on backorder, but just found out that they would not be getting any more in (despite having listed 3 in stock). These were exactly what I was looking for. Unlike some flower petal soaps I've seen, there's nothing dipped or coated in these flowers. They look very much like real rose buds and the color is even gradient on the petals to add realism and color depth. When you remove a petal, hold it in your hand, and put your hands under the water the petal dissolves pretty quickly and releases a very pleasant rose scent. The scent doesn't linger strongly once you have rinsed and the color doesn't seem to stain the skin or anything else it comes in contact with (in my experience). They make great gifts and I am using them to decorate the bathrooms at my wedding reception. I would definitely recommend them. =]

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, All-One Hemp Tea Tree, 5-Ounce Bars (Pack of 6)

My wife and I really really like using this soap over any other soaps we've tried in the past. The tea tree oil leaves the skin feeling very soft and refreshed. Besides using it in the shower, I also use it as a face wash before bed and as a result it has cleared up my acne too. I don't have major acne, very mild so I wasn't using any medication or anything like that, and it worked. We also use the tea tree shampoo and conditioner; Organic Health Invigorating Tea Tree Oil Shampoo & Conditioner + FREE Tea Tree Oil Soap Bars by Herbal Authority. I get dandruff quite often and my head itches like crazy. The tea tree shampoo solved the problem after two uses and again it wasn't a big issue but I had some acne on my head and hair-line which disappeared pretty quickly after using the shampoo only a couple times. Great products!

I'm actually using the Tea Tree bar as a face wash as I heard it can help clear up problematic skin. I've tried sooooo many things in the past and I'm usually let down. The only things that have worked for me are full of nasty chemicals that are doing more harm than good. This bar is amazing! I don't find it to be drying at all and my skin started showing a noticeable improvement after a week of using this.

As far as the smell is concerned, I personally love the smell of tea tree so i don't find it offensive in the least. I love to breathe it in when I wash my face. That being said, the scent is very mild so even if you weren't the biggest fan of tea tree I don't think it would be bothersome.

I also use the lavender bar as a hand soap and recently purchased the baby mild liquid for all other uses. My goal is to replace all our cleaning products with either Dr. Bronner's or natural alternatives.

This is a great product and I would highly recommend it!

Ever since I've tried Pre de Provence, I cannot even imagine to ever go back again to use any other soap (bar or liquid) but this brand. The Verbena one has a subtle fragrance that I love (citrus like). It lathers well, leaves skin so soft, and it lasts more than regular soaps. I bought this shampoo bar originally because I wanted to simplify and lighten my luggage for a trip I was taking. I've ended up using it constantly even after the trip. I have a very oily scalp that is helped a ton by this soap. I find that my hair is at least as soft as with store bought shampoo if not softer and it feels very clean and residue-free.

The bar surprised me with how small it was but it really does last as long as a regular sized bottle of store-bought shampoo especially if you keep it in a soap box or tray that is out of reach of water from your shower or tub.

It does burn your eyes pretty badly if you get the suds in your eyes or other sensitive areas. I tried using it as body soap once when I ran out of body soap and it burned certain private areas so I wouldn't suggest using it that way.

I love this shampoo! I am a notorious "no-poo"-er. My hair is VERY naturally curly, dry, and coarse, so I seldom use shampoo. I do, however, use it occasionally and this soap is wonderful! Leaves no build-up, and is not harsh at all. Hair and scalp feels clean, but not stripped. Will definitely buy again.

On a side note, I have a white bulldog with sensitive skin. He gets pretty dingy-looking quite often, so despite having skin problems, I bathe him about two or three times a month. His white coat positively sparkles, and his skin looks great for several days after using this soap. If you're looking for an all-purpose "dog and people shampoo" that really cleans and doesn't irritate--this is it.
