Burt's Bees Citrus and Ginger Root Body Bar 4 oz

Burt's Bees Citrus and Ginger Root Body Bar 4 ozThis Citrus & Ginger Root body bar by Burt's Bees is wonderful. I absolutely love the smell. And I also love the feel and the cleanness. I love citrus-just-about-anything, and I also love the natural, clean, and a little spicy smell. I am a "clean" person and a "soap" person; I love that clean, fresh feel and smell. And this body bar is invigorating.

This wonderful body bar gives you a change from the same ole stuff you use everyday.

If you have worked in Healthcare and have dust, latex and or chemical sensitivities, or you're just old as dirt and have dry skin, then try this soap. After years of being relegated to using glycerin soap, I gave this a shot. Second or third shower convinced me to toss the glycerin.

Heritage Store Castor Oil Soap, 3.5 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Heritage Store Castor Oil Soap, 3.5 OunceMy skin is so sensitive and this soap is the only one I could find that doesn't irritate my skin. it smells nice and you can feel its effect for more than 24 hours.

I like this soap. It is a little strong, but it is very soothing to my skin. I am using it along with castor oil that I use as a moisturizer.

I know that Castor Oil is very skin friendly. I was dissappointed because Castor Oil is the third ingredient listed out of four ingredients, the soap melted very fast and had very little moisturizing properties. I will not re-order and I was NOT satisfied.

Dr. Bronners Baby Unscented 32 oz. Castile Soap ( Multi-Pack)

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, 18-in-1 Hemp Unscented Baby Mild, 32-Ounce BottlesBeginning 10 or 15 years ago, I started having problems with my skin a kind of itchy irritation on my shins, eyelids and elsewhere. My doctor gave me various kinds of cortisone creams which were effective, but the problem would always return when I stopped applying them. When I researched a bit, I discovered that the most frequent cause of this type of trouble is soap and shampoo! I tried some "extra mild" type soaps and got enough improvement to be encouraged but not as much as I had hoped for. Until finally, I stumbled on to Dr. Bronner's.

Initially, I tried the Almond scented variety. The improvement was quick and complete. I was thrilled, but I didn't really like the scent. That's when I tried the Unscented Baby-mild. Works just as well and no scent except for a barely noticeable "green" aroma. It's almost a year now, and I've not had any recurrence of the skin irritation that used to bother me.

I use it as both soap and shampoo. I am a man and keep my hair reasonably short, but not like I just got out of the Army. After shampooing, my hair is not oily but not dried out. Combs easily without knots. Looks pretty good, I think.

Since it contains no scent and no deodorant, if you sweat you'll smell. Pardon the bluntness but you should know the trade-off you're making.

It makes a nice lather, but it's not very foamy or bubbly. I suspect that some of the chemical additives contained in regular soaps provide this function. It is "thin" rather than creamy. Again, that's probably what other soaps' additives do.

A 32-ounce bottle lasts me, with daily showering, shampooing and generally 1 face-washing, just about 6 weeks. That makes the cost higher than non-organic, non-castile soap and shampoo, but only slightly so. I am happy to pay the difference to get the relief that this product has given me.

If you're going to try it, search Amazon thoroughly. There's more than one listing for this and different listings have different prices, vendors and shipping costs and (occasionally) go on sale at different times, so do a bit of checking before you pull the trigger.

I highly recommend Dr. Bronner's Unscented. I started using it in a spray bottle with baking soda and water because it does not trigger my migraines and when I realized how well it cleaned I started using it to clean pretty much everything in my home.

The scents and chemicals in mainstream cleaners were causing such severe migraines that I could not clean my house. Newer `green' cleaners from Clorox and the like did not help either because of the fragrances. I learned about Dr. Bronner's and gave it a try. The scented versions are too strong for me so I stick with the unscented. Most of my friends like the unscented too because they can add whatever essential oils they need (or are in the mood for) to clean.

Information on the internet for green cleaning is all over the place and there is a lot of bad advice out there. I recommend getting a book on green cleaning that will bring all of the information together check one out from your library or purchase one if you've got a little extra money. For a basic over view of green cleaning I recommend Jill Potvin Schoff's Green Up Your Cleanup (The Green House). For a comprehensive book with a lot of depth, try Renee Loux's Easy Green Living: The Ultimate Guide to Simple, Eco-Friendly Choices for You and Your Home. (I have written reviews on both books.)

The only things I do not use this soap for are washing my hair and doing the dishes. I have really oily hair and the castile soap leaves it very stringy and with a lot of oil in it. I've got several friends who use it as shampoo and they do not have the same problem that I do. I also do not use it for dishes because it is more cost effective for me to get Seventh Generation dish products from Amazon's Subscribe & Save program. As a side note, Dr. Bronner's works great with oxygen bleach (like OxyClean) for laundry, but I use Seventh Generation laundry soap and oxygen bleach instead because it is more cost effective per load.

Yes, the writing on the bottle is kooky, but nothing says you have to read it. This castile soap works better then any other castile soap I've tried. I do not normally spend money with companies that speak in terms of religion, but given the safeness and effectiveness of the product combined with their IMO certified fair trade practices to purchase organic ingredients, I don't care WHAT the label says.

The product contains: water, saponified organic coconut & olive oils, organic glycerin, organic hemp oil, organic jojoba oil, citric acid, and Vitamin E.

I found this product while searching online for a natural product to bathe my children with. I ended up buying a small bottle at Whole Foods to see if I liked it before spending $21.00 on two Giant Bottles. Let me tell you the small bottle at Whole Foods was 8 oz and $6.00 so Amazon has an amazing deal. I was so excited to try it on my kids that I gave them a bath right away. It lathers up very well and rinses very easily. The only downside to this particular variety is that there is no scent really. It kind of has an olive oily scent for a second and then it rinses off. My kids have soft skin after using this though and I have no need to put lotion on them afterwards. I love this and plan on using this for a long time to come. I even used it on myself and couldn't beleive how moisturized my skin felt afterwards. A little goes a long way too my little 8 oz bottle will last a long time afterwards I will definately be buying from Amazon. I just wish they had on Subscribe and Save so that I would never run out. Give it a try!

This makes great foaming hand soap. I put about a half inch of soap in an empty, thoroughly cleaned Dial or Method foaming soap dispenser and fill it up with water. You can adjust the mixture to your desired level of creaminess. I use the unscented foam to wash vegetables, but the peppermint is my favorite for hands. One gallon lasted me about 3 years, so it's a cheaper as well as safer alternative to commercial hand soaps. I've been using the same dispensers for five years, and they are starting to stick in the down position, but it's easy enough to pull them up. After reading reviews of several foam soap dispensers offered on Amazon, I'd rather purchase more Dial dispensers, pour out the toxic soap, and refill them with the Dr. Bronner's mixture.

I can't say enough good things about this soap!! I first came across Dr. Bronner's soap when I was looking for a mild, fragrance free (ie phalate free), non-toxic soap for my baby. Dr. Bronner's came highly recommended by our pediatrician and friends with babies. We've been using it as shampoo, body wash, and laundry detergent for our baby and it's been great! It lathers very well and a little goes a long way. Our whole family has since began using it for everything--shampoo, face wash, body wash, hand soap, detergent, even dishwashing liquid. I love that it's made of natural oils (and not some toxic, petroleum-derived chemicals). Even the bottle is 100% recycled plastic. Love it! Love it! Love it! Just wish I found it sooner.

Thylox Acne Soap 3.25 Ounces

Thylox Acne Soap 3.25 OuncesI started to use this soap as an alternate soap to Nubian Heritage's African Black Soap, because it did not cause my face to be as dry and tight as the African Black Soap. However, after subsequent uses, my face no longer felt dry and tight, which was a big relief for me. It got rid of my mild facial acne pretty quickly, and I don't need to follow up with moisturizer due to dryness and tightness. It also helped with my facial oiliness, and it lathers very well. This soap also lightened dark areas on my face. I had been struggling to remove dark patches on my face due to using harsh or too strong products, and this soap actually made my skin tone look more even. I had no idea it was even capable of doing this. I originally purchased Nubian Heritage Coconut & Papaya soap to moisturize my face and remove these dark spots; however, I only used the soap a few times. I noticed that the acne soap was doing what I wanted the Coconut & Papaya soap to do, so there is basically no need for me to use the Coconut & Papaya soap at the moment. The acne soap also smells great, and it is not an overwhelming smell. I honestly don't think it smells like sulfur either. It is pretty hard to describe the smell though. Also, please be careful when using this soap. Although the directions on the box clearly instruct users to avoid getting the soap in their eyes, I have been careless on a few occasions, and some of it got in my eye. It will sting pretty badly.

This soap works great to clear blemishes and is a great price but it smells awful. Joesoef(yes this is the correct spelling) skincare carries a sulfur based soap that smells much better and works just as well although it is more expensive.

This soap works to a point, cleared up my acne a little bit, I still get breakout but not as bad as i used to, it's partly my fault cause my family is known for having overly oily skin bad acne problems.

This soap smells awful, you kinda get used to it but then again you don't want to go around smelling like rotted eggs.

WARNING!! The Sulfur part of this soap will tarnish certain jewelry metals, I have had two silver rings and a silver and stainless neckless cross turn black after using this soap regularly . sulfur is known for blackening of certain metals...

My skin is extremely oily and prone to blackheads. I have tried expensive cleansers, Proactiv, Murad, Retin-A, and a myriad of products containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Some of these products overdried my skin, which subsequently led to more oil production and blackheads, the others were just ineffective. I stumbled across this soap and decided to give it a try, and I am glad that I did. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and so far so good. There is a noticeable improvement in my skin's texture AND no blackheads. I hope the effects of this soap last. I smell a hint of sulfur but nothing too pungent. I have ordered more and will continue to use this product that has made a world of difference in my skin for such a low price. For anyone suffering from moderate acne with pesky blackheads, I would advise them to give this product a try.

I am in my early 40s and bought this soap after reaching my wits end with what I chalked up as adult acne but a few days before consulting with a dermatologist. Without my mentioning Grandpa's sulfur soap, my dermatologist wrote a prescription for a prescription strength sulfur soap, stating that the sulfur has antiseptic properties and kills the bacteria that collects on my face and, along with oil, clogs the pores. I use both the prescription strength and Grandpa's sulfur soap once each a day. I find the lather of Grandpa's better removes the traces of oil and makeup from the day so I use it at night before going to bed. I have not had one break out since. However, I was hopeful that it would reduce the production of oil but I don't find it the least bit overdrying as some have previously indicated.

EO Foaming Hand Soap, Coconut & Vanilla with Organic Tangerine, 8.5-Ounce Bottle

EO Foaming Hand Soap, Coconut & Vanilla with Tangerine, 8.5-Ounce BottleEO Foaming Hand Soap, Coconut & Vanilla with Organic Tangerine, 8.5-Ounce BottleEO Foaming Hand Soap, Coconut & Vanilla with Organic Tangerine, 8.5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)We've been testing hand soaps for us and our three young children that are rated 0-3 on ewg.org. We really wanted a foaming soap for our kids and even though this is a "3" (we were hoping for a "0" on ewg), its incredible. We tried the other EO foaming soap but all of us love this scent the best. We also tried the JES Organics foaming soap which has a lower score on ewg but frankly this particular EO foaming soap and its smell (a very gentle vanilla smell -we did not smell the coconut) is wonderful. All the EO foam soaps we tried felt like cream on your hand i mean that in a good way ... they felt incredible very soothing and non drying and when you rinse, all that is left behind is a very soft smell.

Frankly -better than all the other toxic foam soaps we've used ever. Finding this soap has been our best find so far in our quest to remove toxins from our kids lives so we're thrilled. Im back on amazon to order enough to fill 6 bathrooms with backups;->!

I'm a fan of foaming soap because I don't like residue left behind on many of the gel soaps. On the other hand (no pun intended), foaming soap can sometimes dry out my skin so I was pleased to see how clean and moisturized my hands felt after washing with EO hand soap! The scent is lovely and the bottles last a long time. It may be more expensive than other soaps, but you get what you pay for.

This hand soap is simply awesome! Yes, it is more expensive than some brands, but the foaming ones do last longer. I will gladly pay more for this since it doesn't have any toxic ingredients. The cheaper products have cheaper ingredients so it's a case of "you get what you pay for." I have been disappointed in many other natural/organic brands but I love EO and this is my favorite liquid handsoap by far. I LOVE the fragrance!!! I am not a lavender fan (which seems to be the most common fragrance in natural products) so I was so glad to find this. It also does not dry out your hands so you don't have to run for the lotion bottle when you are done washing. My whole family loves it and there are no "bad ingredients" to worry about (and as a mom, I DO worry!:) I haven't found any other hand soap that I like as much as this one.:)
