I LOVE this soap. Of course I love all of Dr. Bronner's soaps, especially because they are all natural and biodegradeable etc... and they WORK GREAT!!! But this one is particularly good for my skin. The natural antiseptic, germicide, antibacterial, fungicide properties of Tea Tree oil have made my skin so much clearer since I have started using this soap regularly. It lathers really well just like all Dr. Bronner's soaps, so you just need a very little bit. The only downside is that it's not the best smelling of his soaps (if you don't know what tea tree oil smells like I would try it in a small size first) but I don't mind it. If you like the peppermint soap, I would definitely try this one too.

This was my first purchase of African Black Soap. It is a wonderful product. It's a little rough and bumpy (and unscented) but it feels wonderful and works beautifully on my skin. It is so much more moisturizing than I expected and makes my face so soft. I have since bought another brand that had scent added (it was very black, more highly processed with more glamorous packaging) and I was very disappointed in it. I don't mind the scent of this natural product but I am studying aromatherapy and love natural scents so am going to play with this to make a liquid soap and add my own essential oils for scent. It's a great soap and will definitely be purchasing it again.

The only really authentic hyacinth fragrance there ever was in a soap was Caswell-Massey's Blue Hyacinth -and they stopped manufacturing that in the mid-1990's. I've tried to get a hyacinth fragrance in several brands of scented soap since then, and it's always the same thing -something vaguely like Lily of the Valley. Very disappointing.

I would call this a very good soap. Not quite excellent, due to a couple of peeves, but very close. No 5 Star, but 9 out of 10.

The scent is quite enjoyable and is as labeled, a bay rum and orange. While it is not overpowering; I kind of would have preferred the orange to be a bit toned back to let more of the bay rum through. But I would count that more of a personal preference.

It works more or less as one would expect for cleaning. I found that it formed a light lather with just hand rubbing and would need a washcloth to build a thicker foam. After cleaning, it would rinse off easily with no leftover films or feelings other than just clean.

This soap is also very good for a wet shave. While I am relatively new to wet shaving and only have used a puck of Col Conk to compare to. Once that puck of Col Conk was gone, my bar of this soap was just about done and I tossed the last sliver into my bowl. This soap lathers up beautifully thick with a badger hair brush, and then after application, would stay foamed on the face for the full shave. If anything, I would say this soap is superior to the Col Conk for shaving, and the Conk was a good product and is highly rated.

Heck. If Frannie sold this soap in a round cake suitable for a shave bowl, I would probably stick with it for shaving.

My husband and daughter have asthma and skin allergies. I had to do something because all the products I had tried were toxic and causing them to have asthma attacks. I came across this on a radio show about it being organic,ph balanced,pure,no harsh additives. So I gave it a go, 2 years later we still use it. If they ever quite selling it I would be devastated! It smells naturally amazing,like almonds. It makes our skin silky and smooth. They have extremely dry crusty skin nothing ever cured it. Since they have been using it their skin has been much better. Not as dry or chapped. You can even use it as toothpaste its totally safe. It works wonderful as a baby soap as well. I use the soap, lotion and laundry detergent. It has been such a blessing finding out that there is organic healthy cleansers that are natural and smell so good. A little goes a long way with their products. I buy in bulk it is very reasonable, Cal Ben sells in gallons which may seem expensive but is not because a gallon would last 6 months. The bars of soap last us about 4 months with all us using them. Very inexpensive because the soap is packed tight. It doesn't bloat like the toxic counterparts a walmart! Most our family is now using it. We were use to the feeling of the toxic fragrance bar soaps so it did take getting use to but after a couple of weeks we feel cleaner. When were around people that use fragrance type soaps you can smell it. Its wierd how you can't smell yourself when you bathe in fragrance and harmful chemicals, when you quit using them you can smell them on other people and it smells toxic. Skin Milk Bath Bar Cleanse

I picked this up on a whim (Our local dollar tree had it for a buck a bar) It's very rich and creamy and lathers nice. The scent is mild, not overwhelming or unpleasant. I like it. I only just started using it, so I can't tell you that it does /did anything for my skin. But it's a nice, creamy, pleasant smelling soap made in U.S.A.

I, too, have purchased this wonderful soap at my local dollar store. I guess I was in lala land when I looked at this ad, because I thought I was ordering 5 bars for this price. With the shipping it came to $5.00 for ONE bar. Not a good deal! I am going to look around some more. Great product; lousy price.

I ordered this product because it is one of a few products that my son can use on his sensitive skin. I received the order on time but I ordered 2 bars of soap but only one bar was in the box along with a lot of foam peanuts to take up space. I thought the other bar would maybe come in the mail later, but two weeks have passed and nothing.... I will never order from this company again and do not recommend them.

I bought this product a little over 3 weeks ago and was surprised at how fast it arrived in the mail (it arrived 2 days earlier than the predicted date). I first heard about the soap from a young, Israelian guy at the mall who was selling the Seacret products to people who walked by. After seeing how well the Seacret nail buffer worked on my nails and hearing him talk about the soap and how it would "clear all of the black spots and blackheads on my face" i figured that I would give it a try and see how well it would work for me. I decided to look for it online since it was WAY to expensive at the mall ($30 for one bar!!!) and i was relieved to see that Amazon was selling it for only $10 dollars. After 3 weeks of using this product, I have seen no improvement on my skin. When you first use the bar in the shower, it makes your skin feel clean and fresh and leaves it with smooth, tight feeling, but the feeling wears off within 30 minutes for me. I don't know if it's just me and my skin type or if I'm doing something wrong, but this bar doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe it works for some other people, but I have seen little to no improvement to my skin at all. I really don't think I'll buy this product again...

All of these Juniper Ridge Products are incredible... I know the price is a bit high for soap. But it makes your whole body feel awesome... And alot less chemicals than regular store brand soap... This soap smells wonderful, and I'm not a person who's usually into fancy bath soaps. I can't stand perfumey smells, but this one doesn't overwhelm my nose, and the sage smell is a great stress reliever, which is what I really love about it. (It reminds me of being outdoors, where life seems less complicated!) I like to save it for when I've had a stressful day, and need a hot shower to relax. The only downside is that it really makes me miss living in California, but I love that the company donates a portion of their profits to saving Western wilderness (which anyone who's been to the West Coast can appreciate the value of doing!).

Thymes Kimono Rose Triple Milled Soap Large Bar 7 oz

Don't get me wrong...it smells nice. It smells like rose soap. But it doesn't smell like kimono rose. Everytime I got in the shower the smell reminded me of my grandmother...which I'm allowed to say since I am a grandmother now. I tossed the soap away after a few days of NOT enjoying it.

Well, I have an old in the wall soap dish that is gross and I can never find a soap dish to fit into it. I think this bathroom must be from the 50's. I am on my second bar so i guess it is time for a review. I was so excited about using this soap because i wanted something that was going to leave my skin moisturized. This soap gives you a squeaky clean feel but leaves the skin so dry. I also use on my face and the same thing. I purchased 6 bars so i have to finish them but i am not impressed at all with this soap. I purchased the moisturizer and i get it today, hope i am not dissapointed because everyone gave it rave reviews.
