Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, 18-in-1 Hemp Peppermint, 32-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)
It is invigorating and opens up my eyes and sinuses every morning.
It can be a little shocking to sensitive body areas in the nether regions, but after a couple of uses you get used to it and dare I say look forward to it every morning.
The philosophy on the bottle also makes great reading! This is fantastic soap. It's non-toxic for my family. We use it in our hand soap dispensers, in bottles for body wash in the shower and even on the babies hair. I love it. It's rating for toxicity is zero which is rare. I will never be without this safe product for my family.I love, love this non-toxic soap. I have seen it in stores but thought it was a bit too costly. However, I thought I would give it a try. I will never be without this product again. I am using and interested in products not containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, an ingredient found in many products we use daily. A little liquid on my bath towel goes a long way. I like how my skin feels after I shower using this product and the many uses this product offers.Such a classic...love the smell. I use it as a shower gel, shampoo, for washing delicate clothes, and shaving.
Some might find it to be a bit pricey, but if you consider its multiple uses it is totally worth it.
Can't think of anything bad to say, only wish I discovered it earlier.when i replace products i use at home i go to amazon.com first.i can usually get a larger size and end upDr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, 18-in-1 Hemp Peppermint, 32-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)paying less for it.for me, it's a great deal.never had bad luck with it yet.

I just received this in the mail and had to put in a drawer so it wouldn't stink the whole room up! I guess I was expecting a cross between delicate and earthy, but the only way to describe this is loud! It is VERY "perfumy". Just read the ingredients and it does list essence of heather, however, fragrance (parfum) is listed first. It has a heavy unnatural scent, and to me, very unpleasant.Read Best Reviews of Naturally Irish Linen Wrapped Heather & Moss Soap - 4.4 oz. Here

Michel Design Works Flora Exotica Foaming Soap, 17.8-Ounce
This "Flora Exotica" fragrance is *Amazing*. I don't really know how to describe it except to say it is like an "Exotic" Honeysuckle, with something else. It is really quite nice! Since the jar is so big and it is a foamerI know it will last a while. It might be more expensive the store bought brands but if you like a little dressy soap for your guests and don't mins spending the extra this is your soap! The best part of foaming jars is they are refillable once the product is used! Just add a drop or two of your fave, add water and you're all set!
I would highly recommend Michel Design Works products!

My family and guests absolutely love this hand soap. In addition to the fantastic fragrance, the design is appealing. The product arrived well-wrapped and in a timely fashion.Read Best Reviews of Michel Design Works Flora Exotica Foaming Soap, 17.8-Ounce Here
Michel Design Works Flora Exotica Foaming Soap, 17.8-Ounce I received this as a gift at Christmas and now it's August; the soap container is only just now close to empty. The aroma is wonderfully floral without being heavy or lingering. (Jasmine seems to be the most prominent aroma but lightly fades and doesn't interfere with perfume.) The soap base is shea butter and leaves my skin feeling light and clean without drying. This price is also a great deal since I know that my fiance paid around $30 for this at a stylish boutique near my work. When I found this on Amazon I had to order it right away and I intend to buy more of this since I believe it to be a short-run item. I recommend it for anyone who appreciates a moment of relaxing aroma during hand washing or showering. It also makes a wonderful gift for someone you care for.Want Michel Design Works Flora Exotica Foaming Soap, 17.8-Ounce Discount?
Yardley Oatmeal and Almond Bar Soap, 4.25 Ounce
It has been a long time since I used Dove (Over two months when I wrote this review) and somehow I forgot about the Dove experience. I have deducted a star from Yardley, and change my conclusion. Dove is the superior soap, Dove is the only soap that leaves my skin soft, and it does not leave any tightness whatsoever, just like the more expensive body wash (Along with better moisture!). Yardley leaves quite a bit of that tightness that makes me feel sticky. Dove is overall the best soap on the affordable market (Olay is better, but at 7 bucks a bar, not worth it, along with many other exotic soaps), but Yardley is still a good soap.
(Original review underneath)
______________________
I originally picked this up on a spout of homesickness, (I used to live in England and miss it a great deal some days), all I saw was the "London", I'm usually particular when it comes to soap because it's a long commitment, but, one sniff and that was gone. All of Yardleys varieties smell delicious, but this is the one I settled upon for now (The oatmeal just sounded so soothing, and it is!). This stuff smells amazing, this is, by FAR the best smelling commercially available brand of soap.
After long, drawn out side by side testing of both the popular Dove Beauty Bar (the standard for bar soap, of course) and Yardley's, I've been attempting to discern which one was better, overall.
Feel:
The Dove beauty bar contains quite a bit of moisturizing creme (So much so that it's not technically soap!), so this would appear to be hard for Yardley to come ahead just at first, however Yardley contained so many natural skin conditioners that it also made my skin just as soft as, if not softer than the Dove Beauty bar. They both left that certain tightness on the skin that all bar soaps do, I suppose that's where the phrase "Squeaky clean" comes in. I will note that the softness of Dove seems to last longer, however I can not be certain because I forgot an important variable, I used a different lotion. Yardley has amazing natural exfoliants that Dove lacks, which made my skin feel cleaner, but dove however does sell an exfoliating variety that I have yet to try.
Lather:
This is probably one of the important things when it comes to picking a soap, just the feel of the lather. I did this test without a loofah, just to get a pure idea of the soap. Yardley's came into a much richer and creamier lather on its own than Dove did!
Look:
While Dove has always helped me to maintain a good young complexion, Yardley added an extra "glow" to my skin, which made me look perkier and overall better.
Smell:
I never particularly liked the smell of Dove. It smelled like soap. Maybe it's because Dove used to be the only bar soap I used, so, it just by default was only comparable to itself, but Yardly has an extremely good scent, winning this part by far.
Residue:
This may go into feel, but, It seems to be something else, so it gets it's own category. This is where Yardley's lost some points with me. Dove leaves absolutely no soap residue (once more, it's not technically soap, it's a beauty bar), which gives skin a nice long lasting clean feel. Yardley's, on the other hand, is soap. Which means it leaves soap residue, which by the end of the day can make my skin feel gross. This is a characteristic of all soap non-dove soaps, which is what sets Dove apart from the rest. It goes into the chemistry of soap. It's just how it's made.
Melt:
Neither Yardley or Dove melt like other cheaper soaps, This was tested vigorously because this is what chased me away from bar soaps for some time. I got two brand new bars of both Yardley and Dove, used all four to wash once, put one bar of Yardleys on a dish by the shower and the other bar of Yardleys in it's original box by the shower, Likewise I put one dove by the shower on the dish and another in it's original box. They were both left on the ledge for two months (And that shower is used at least twice, sometimes three times a day!). Considering it's a smaller bathroom that gets hot easily, I really expected mush. The yardley's was practicaly like the day I left it, both bars perfectly usable after a quick rinse (Dirt got on all four bars, but, that was to be expected), Dove fared usable, but not as well as Yardleys.
Overall:
I would drop Dove for Yardley's in a heart beat if Yeardley didn't leave that soapy feeling, but, I love so many things about both, I just have both and let my mood decide.
Note: I compared Yardley with Dove soap, this is because of the vast popularity of Dove soap as the standard bar soap, and as the generally accepted best bar soap.

The Yardley soap is a very good product overall. It is lightly scented and coarse to touch. The soap doesn't leave a heavy scent or a build up of scum after one uses it. Also, the soap lasts quite a while for those who are budget minded. I would suggest a slanted soap dish to extend its life. Enjoy!!!!Read Best Reviews of Yardley Oatmeal and Almond Bar Soap, 4.25 Ounce Here
This soap is wonderful. Both my husband and I love it. I have sensitive skin that is extremely dry and his job makes his skin dry. I have always had to use either a lot of lotion after showering or oil so I wouldn't look and feel dry and itch constantly and he would only use lotion if I forced it on him. After using this soap once we noticed a huge difference in how our skin felt. Now after using it just a few times, I only need a little lotion on a couple of places and he hasn't had to use any at all. It has a light, fresh scent that is delightful. It rinses clean and your skin feels fresh and soft and looks healthy and supple. So that it will keep longer we put it in a mesh bag and hang it in the shower.Want Yardley Oatmeal and Almond Bar Soap, 4.25 Ounce Discount?
Maybe it's the Florida humidity, but I've been using this soap for about a month and a half now and I LOVE IT! Everything from the smell to the way it moisturizes my skin; I don't need to use lotion anymore. The amazon description says "fragrance free" & all natural. Another reviewer also said ingredients were natural. The soap packages I received look similar to the amazon image, but also say "con antibatterico" & the ingredients list "parfum" & "hydroxydichlorodiphenyl ether" among others. the latter is the same or similar to triclosan as far as I can tell, which is the antibacterial ingredient in dial & other antibacterial hand soaps.Wonder if they changed the formula or if this is a different product in the same line. The smell is strong, & besides the fact that I ordered it for my 5 yr old son, I try to avoid the antibacterial soaps. Returning it.

Zote Laundry Soap Bar - Pink 7oz
The soap I got was pink, and hss a fragrance that I like but not able to identify. It suds up immediately, and we have hard water. I use a washboard--glass, not metal, for stains, or hand-wash garments and I'm am pleased that it does not dull the fabric, it rinses out very well, and the fragrance is mild. After hanging on the clothes line, with fresh air and sunlight, the clothes are not stiff and just smell fresh, not like detergents. This is my second purchase, and I still have half the first bar. I did eventually buy the Fels Naptha and Octagon, which I used on rougher garments, but I really like this soap for lighter garments. Have not tried it on woolens, but it worked on poly/cotton, cotton, rayon. I did add some washing soda, and just a dash of white vinegar for some cottons like my aprons, and was very pleased. I recommend Zote bar soap.

I had been using a different soap for making laundry soap, but learned it had petroleum products in it. Zote does not. The price was good, and it really works well to get out stains. Just rub on stain and wash. Love this soap!I bought this to use in making home made laundry soap. My daughter tells me you can microwave it to make it crumble so you don't have to grate the bar. Good price and not available locally. This use to be a great soap. I used it in my homemade laundry detergent. Then, about a year ago, it seems that the company changed the ingredients because now, it is so waxy that it will not dissolve in water, even boiling water. Too bad, I use to love this soap....pretty useless to me now as it does not dissolve in the washing machine.Miyoshi Soap | Soap | Bath Soap White 135g x 3

This is a great natural shampoo. Leaves my hair soft, full of body, and smooth instead of frizzy after blow drying. Much better than conventional shampoo and conditioner!Read Best Reviews of J.R. Liggett - Bar Shampoo, 3.5 Oz Here
JR Liggett's bar shampoo is probably one of the best things that ever happened to my hair. For starters, it does not contain the harsh detergent Sodium Laurel Sulfate, which most conventional shampoos have. SLS strips the oils from your hair, leaving your hair damaged, and with an overproduction of oil to compensate. This overproduction makes you need to wash your hair constantly to keep the oil at a reasonable level. This shampoo does not have SLS in it, and I can go quite a while without washing it usually my skin feels yucky long before my hair starts to feel gross in any way.Of course, my hair took about a week to get used to the sudden lack of SLS in my shampoo which caused it to be very, very greasy for a few days to a week. I recommend that if you switch to JR Liggett's, you do it at a time that you will not have to go out very much (I did it during summer vacation from school). Do NOT let this adjustment period discourage you from using this fantastic product, though! It's SO worth it because it makes my hair really, really soft and thick, and my curls look nicer than when I used SLS based shampoos!
Besides the SLS factor, JR liggett's is more environmentally friendly. It comes wrapped only in a small piece of paper, rather than a large plastic bottle. Also, you don't need conditioner because the oils in the shampoo bar do the job of conditioner (so, one less plastic bottle). It saves me a lot of money even if $6 seems a bit much for a 3.5 ounce bar, you must take in to consideration the fact that you don't need to buy conditioner and that the bar lasts to between 6 months and a year! The scent it exudes is a mild herbal scent and in a pinch it can be used as a body soap as well. When I go on my church's mission trip each year, I use it as shampoo, and body soap, and shaving soap and it works just fine.
I recommend that when you use it, you put it in your hair right when you get it wet, and leave it in until the very end of your shower (after you've soaped your body, shaved your legs, etc) to get the softest hair possible.
To sum it up, JR Liggett's is a fantastic, environmentally responsible product with all-natural and safe ingredients, and I highly recommend it.

My wife and I were backpacking in Southeast Asia this summer and wanted to avoid carrying liquids as much as possible. A travel book recommended bringing a bar of shampoo. After checking out a local store that sold solid shampoos and being scared off by the price, I came on Amazon and found this product. 3.5 oz turned out to be a smaller bar than I expected but it lasts quite a while. After three weeks of travel, we still had a lot of shampoo left over.Highly recommended for travel (particularly backpacking). Will gladly continue using and purchase this brand again.
