Buy Black Therapy 9 Bamboo Charcoal Soap featuring Activated Bamboo Carbon - 3 Bar Pack Now
I recently purchased this soap after reading about the many benefits of activated charcoal. I've only been using it for a few days, but, so far, I love this soap! I have always had extremely dry skin. After washing my face, especially in winter, I would have to immediately use oil or a heavy moisturizer, which helped some, but still never seemed to soak in. Using this soap, it feels like I'm washing with creme, and leaves my skin feeling very soft and not dry! And I am able to notice a significant difference in the appearance of my skin also only after a few days.Within 5 days my little eczema patches went away. The bar melts fast, but it is worth it. They come in a 3 pack and I plan to get more. Overall my skin is softer and my my atopic skin is better.Want Black Therapy 9 Bamboo Charcoal Soap featuring Activated Bamboo Carbon - 3 Bar Pack Discount?
Seems being a black soap, as it has charcoal in it, it clogs my pores making blackheads. It may help some in fighting bacteria but it fills pores, so not worth it for me (the acne prone white faced woman). I really wish this wasn't the case, since it does seems to leave skin feeling great and the other ingredients have wonderful anti aging effects, so I am bummed. It's even pretty to look at with it's gold flecks looking very cool in a very black bar.NaturOli Soap Nuts / Soap Berry Powder - USDA Certified Organic. 100% natural detergent / cleanser.

At all.
It's safer for your septic tank (and your skin!) than detergents, a much smaller container to take to the laundromat, and more reliable than using the unground soap nuts, which I've found difficult to gauge when they're "used up" and no longer as effective.
Does this seem like a lot to spend on a small container of powder? Not when you consider that I only need 1/2 teaspoon (yes, TEASPOON) of soap nuts powder to get results as good as or better than I was getting from detergent. NaturOli says to use 2-3 teaspoons, but I started with 1 and have reduced it from there with the same results. And once you've experimented and know that you love this stuff, you can go to their website and buy a larger size, thereby saving even more per ounce.
NaturOli makes a quality product and I hope they keep doing so as long as I have to keep doing laundry. Or wearing clothing.I'm very grateful I discovered soapberry, and I think NaturOli is a great company that makes great products. So far, this powder seems to be cleaning my clothes adequately enough, and I'm very glad to have found an alternative to the toxic smelling, liquid laundry detergent, that I didn't know there was an alternative to.
That said, the packaging for this stuff, is crazy bad. When I pulled the container out of the package, it was covered in soap berry powder. The cap wasn't off, but I suspect there was a small leak somewhere. The container seems like it's made of pretty flimsy, flexible plastic. After screwing the top off for the first time, I ended up spilling (and probably inhaling) a good amount of the soap berry, and I have very steady hands. The problem is that the container is slightly overflowing. I appreciate them not skimping on product, but I would have taken a teaspoon less of the powder over the mess it caused. When I tried screwing the lid back on, it wouldn't screw correctly.
If it weren't for the packaging, this product would likely be a solid 5 stars. PLEASE fix the packaging. Put it in a baking soda style box, or something more suited for storing powdered substances. If you're thinking about buying this product, I still recommend it, but definitely get a different, larger container to store it in.

If anyone reading this cares to try it, here is the recipe from this site:
*Grate the soap
*Heat 3 cups of water in a pot.
*Add the soap and stir to dissolve.
*Turn heat off and stir in a cup of washing soda
*Put everything in the 5 gallon bucket holding 3 gallons of water and stir.
*Cover and let it sit overnight.
*Use 2 or 3 tablespoons per load in an energy-efficient front loader.
For heavily soiled clothing: Add 1 cup of Borax. For very hard water locations: Add 1 cup of Baking Soda. Always stir before using and keep the lid on the bucket tightly closed to prevent young children or pets from drowning.
I have used both Castille and Ivory soaps. These bars of Ivory will yield 15 gallons or more of laundry detergent and the cost is $1.39 for all three bars. (about what? 0.9 cents a gallon?) -
You can purchasing washing soda at your local supermarket, in the laundry isle. (Around $2.00 a box)
Hope this is helpful to someone looking for a mild soap that does double duty as laundry detergent. The product is nice, it comes in three bars. It has a nice smell. That's all I can think of now.

This is the only soap one member of my family uses. It is gentle on the skin and isn't dry.Mild smell that is all its own, not flowery or perfume like, but I do like to buy the other scented kinds too.

UPDATE 1 week later: still not worth it. Leaves a film. Not quite sure who would benefit from this kind of bar.
To start, I have sensitive, combination, dry, oily skin. You can read my other reviews to confirm. I considered buying this for 2 weeks, because I have tried and loved the Pomega5 green tea mattifying moisturizer
Miracle II Miracle Moisturizing Soap(22 oz.)

The moisturizing soap is good for dry skin and it leaves your skin pretty silky. You don't have that film on your skin like most soaps. You know that you are clean. Your skin just breathes. It's completely non-toxic. Great for skin and hair. So wonderful in a bubble bath, If you take a nice long soak,\ and let the water stand after getting out, you'll see that it has pulled stuff from your pores and it settles in your bathwater. How many times have you seen that with your normal bath soap?
You can't do wrong with Miracle II products. Great for your whole family and great for the environment.Very good sudsing action going on. Does not cause skin to become dry and itchy like most soaps. Never a nasty scum tub ring. The only thing I don't like about it is the price.
update: I would not buy again. It is too weak. I finished a bottle of this, and did not feel clean after all that usage. I was still sweaty with body odors. Dr. Bronner's soap works better than this.

We love this soap! It makes you feel clean and doesn't leave any residue on you or the tub! I don't have to scrub the shower much anymore. I use it for bath, face, laundry, dishes, floors, etc. etc. I dilute it in a spray bottle and use it to kill insects (ants, roaches, mosquitos, spiders, etc.). My mom tried it and loves it, told my aunt about it...now about 6 households of relatives are using it. Yes, the price is high, but it's highly concentrated. You might try looking for a local distributor to save on shipping.Read Best Reviews of Miracle II Miracle Moisturizing Soap(22 oz.) Here
I feel like my hair is healthier with this shampoo. My massage therapist swears by it.So, I've been using this product for a while now had been trying to go organic/natural, and had read some good reviews. I feel like it cleanses well without drying my skin, and a little goes a long way. However, I dug a little deeper, and there are some things to be wary of: first of all, "eloptic" is a made-up fad-word, so who really knows what they're doing to this "energized oxygenated water" water by definition already has oxygen (H2O). Secondly, I'm not convinced that its actually SLS free although not sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate is not specifically listed as an ingredient, it just says "foaming agent" (which they say is coconut based which palm-oil SLS's are). To me, this could still well be SLS. The natural oils (apricot, sweet almond and Vitamin E) are good though. Long story short, if you feel like you have benefits from this product or want to give it a try, then by all means buy it. But if you're looking for something organic/SLS free, I'd try something else that's what I plan on doing once this last bottle runs out.
