my review is going to be on the lavender castile soap from dr bronners. It has a nice smell a little strong when in bottle but has a pleasant smell when water down just so you know it smell like real lavender not the fake fragrance oil kind .This product is all natural,organic,non toxic,eco friendly n has so many uses.I make my own homemade cleaners n i use this as one of the ingredients. lavender is also a natural antibacterial.If ur going to buy this product theres one very important thing u need to keep in mind the soap is very pure(for lack of a better word)what i mean is you have to water it down trust me alot goes a long way. one more thing you should know is that in most bodywash,shampoo,detergents ,handsoap,they put chemicals,synthics to make it lather to make you think the more lather the more cleaner you are which is not true so dont expect to get a rich thick lather with dr bronners but it does have a light lather.

Free and Clear Glycerin Soap

Y.U.M. Bar Dog Soap

This bar is much better than liquid shampoo I used to bathe my boy shihtzu with. The scent is light which dries down to a trace of popcorn-like smell which is adorable. On top of everything, it makes his hair well moisturized and smooth, very easy to comb. Will buy again.

As we all know, washing our favorite canine friend can be a challenge at times as they don't always cooperate. For years I have been using products that I could find at my local pet shop and they have all been liquid shampoo allegedly formulated for a "dog's sensitive skin". The problem is that it takes a lot of shampoo and associated effort to get all the parts properly cleansed. On the one hand, my dog, a mini schnauzer, keeps moving so the shampoo I have just squeezed out onto my palm and am desperately trying to distribute to his chest or rear leg is dripping and even when I get it where it needs to be it never seems to be enough. I find myself using a lot of liquid shampoo to do the job and the constant need to pick up the bottle or pump more onto my hand gives my pooch an opportunity to try to get away from me further complicating the task. In the end, I use a lot of shampoo to get this relative small, long haired dog clean. Another issue for me is the smell of dog shampoo as most of them are overly scented and artificial smelling.

I had often wished that I could find a bar of soap specially formulated for a canine that is not overly scented and leaves their coat nice and shiny. Well, this soap does it and does it well. When using a bar of soap there is no need to keep going back to the bottle to get more as you have all you need right in your hand. Washing the dog with this product takes a lot less time and it rinses out completely with ease. I can get my dog washed in just a few minutes and as I always have one hand on the dog, he is easier to control and more cooperative.

I first wet him down completely avoiding his head but getting every part of his body nice and wet. Then I take the bar of soap in my hand and get every part nicely lathered up which is easier with the source of soap firmly in your hand. I then rinse his entire body and then wet his head as that is the part he really doesn't like. I then soap up his beard/muzzle, neck and head avoiding his eyes and quickly rinse him off with a hand held sprayer protecting his nose from direct contact with the water. After one final rinse of his body he is wrapped in a large towel and happily rubs his face and body into it drying himself off. The smell of the soap is wonderful and mild with a hint of cinnamon and sage and it leaves his fur nice and shiny. Fortunately, it does not irritate his skin or cause flaking or itching so all in all, we are both happy with the product.

So why only four stars? It is a rather small bar (only 3 oz) for the price and doesn't last too long, so you should buy a few at a time. Once you have tried it you will never go back to liquid shampoo again.

Victoria R.S. Tallba Pine Swedish Body Soap - 100 gr. Bar

I give this soap top marks for excellence! I love the box it comes in, and the adorable soap itself if marked with a pine cone, and needles. It's a pale green, glycerinelike soap, but I've never had a glycerine soap last as long as this. It just keeps going! My favourite part is the scent. Not overwhelming, but a very pleasant Pine (not in anyway reminiscent of cleaningproduct pine, thank goodness). This is going to be my go-to wintertime soap because the scent just says Christmas to me. Mind you, it would be lovely any time of the year!

Bought several and used as stocking stuffers. They smelled so good I kept one for myself. It's a great soap...lathers well. I will order more when it's gone.

Olay Body Age Defying Bath Bar, 6 Count, 4.25 Ounce (Pack of 2)

I get migraines, and it's very difficult for me to find a body bar soap with a scent that doesn't trigger one.

Olay is one of the only brands I can use. I have tried unscented, but I like a little scent. I find that the Age Defying bar is the least scented of all the scents. It's very light and can barely be detected after.

It depends on what scents may bother you, but I have been using this almost since Age Defying came out (I used to use the original Olay pink bars, but the scent changed and was too strong), and I can't find another I like more.

It also leaves the body feeling clean without any filminess after.

I am so impressed with this soap. It makes your skin feel so soft. It is not unscented but it's a good scent.

I have been using Tone soap for at least 10 years.

It has a very pleasant scent, especially nice in the morning for a 'waking up' shower. I also keep a cake on the sink.

I have Tone oil, but it is kind of greasy and doesn't have the scent the bar soap has. I prefer Shikai 'Yuzu', which for awhile I could not find, but found it again. It is much more rejuvenating than the Tone oil. But as far as Tone bars, it's great soap and I recommend it.

Angel Soaps

I grate the bar soap & then chop in the food processor to break down even finer. Add 1 cup soap to 1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax to 1 cup of Arm & Hammer Washing soda. I have very sensitive skin, and almost every soap, even natural soaps irritate me. But with this one I have not had that problem. I have been using for over a year now. I even use it on my 3 year old son with no problem.

Dr. Bronner's magic soaps are THE ANSWER for anybody with skin conditions. I have psoriasis and this is the only soap that I can use with gusto.

Any other kind (including organic ones or glycerin) will leave me with itchiness, redness, and more dryness. Even when labeled "for sensitive skin" or "with vitamine e" other soaps were all the same.

I have used Dr. Bronner's now for 8 years. I prefer the bars to the liquid.

Lately I have started using it for my hair (no sulfates) and applying "pureology" conditioner afterwards.

Just look at the variety of essential oils used in each bar: coconut, palm oil, jojoba, lavender and hemp. These are the REAL DEAL, no "pseudo-chemical-artificial" ingredients that are cheap. These essential oils are pure luxury.

I want to thank this company for its excellent products. It is evident that THEY CARE, about our skin, about the environment and about those who provide them with the ingredients that they use. I hope they keep the good work for years and years to come.

My mom gave me a bar of this soap not too long ago and this soap really is magic.

I'm not a big fan of bar soap but this soap greatly reduces acne (I see results RIGHT AFTER washing my face with this) but is gentle enough that it doesn't dry out your skin. It also tightens up the skin on your face while moisturizing. I'm not exaggerating by saying it's a dream come true.

Best of all, it's organic and uses only natural ingredients. I've suffered from severe cystic acne for years (which has likely been caused by non-natural, highly-chemical makeup) but my face ALWAYS looks better after using this soap.

Lye soap is rumored to be good for all kinds of complaints, including rosacea, eczema, poison ivy, dandruf, oily skin, oily hair, and even as the wrapper on this soap suggests foul mouthed children.

I've had my eczema under control for a few years, but not my dandruf. My skin and hair have remained oily no matter what I do not for lack of trying to control it, mind you. After a move, I started to have a pretty bad outbreak. I remmebered seeing this stuff in a local hardware store, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Oily skin? Not anymore. Hair? Nope. Dandruf? Seems under control. Eczema? It's only been a few days, but it's coming back under control.

Holy cow, this stuff is good.

Back at the hardware store again, it seemed that $3.99 per bar was a bit steep despite how good the stuff is (I bought more anyway). I came to Amazon today hoping that I'd find it for less.

More than twice what I paid? Are you kidding?

Mountain Ocean Skin Trip Soap, Coconut , 4.5-Ounces (Pack of 4)

I love this soap. I have very dry skin, and most soaps don't help with that. Even non-drying soap, while not adding to the dryness, also don't help. This one does. And the skin benefits of coconut oil are well documented. So I lather it up and use it on my hair, too. The only problem I have with the bar is that it doesn't last long. But then I love it so much I use it constantly, so it may be me rather than the product.

Update: I think I figured out why the bars don't last long they are under-cured. What I do is order a bunch at a time, take them all out of the plastic, and let them air cure for at least 4 weeks before use. They last much longer.

I have been using Skin Trip products since the mid 1980's. The quality has never waivered. This soap has a lovely feel and smell. It has become the only soap I use.
