Uniliver royally screwed up a 200 yr old, beloved recipe. AVOID. it is now made in India from cheap ingredients. How can they even call it Pears with 24 ingredients vs. the original 8? This stink of this soap irritated my eyes and nose. I used it once, knew something was very wrong, & removed it from the house. The smell of this soap will bring back no fond memories.
I am happy with this product, but not happy enough to buy it again. I think the quality of the soap is good, but it doesn't leave my skin in any particularly great condition. It's like washing yourself with hand soap almost. This soap does foam a lot, but in the end, I think it's missing some more oils or something. It's not particularly dry, but it's not too oily and glamorous, either.
I have found this to be my favorite soap. I like the lavender buds infused in the bar giving it a yummy lavender aroma. It suds up nicely and we use it for hand, body and face.
I live to use shaving soap instead of foam creams and this is my favorite soap. I have tried a lot of soaps over the past 20 years and this is by far my favorite. I get a better shave than with cream and i like the way it smells. You also need a good brush and I like the metal bowl instead of the wooden one.

I have been part of the Bath Gel and loofa craze for quite some time and honestly forgot everything about bath soaps. Now I remember I switched to bath gel because bar soap left my skin dry, but you can throw that standard right out the door with this new soap. This soap, like almost all dove bar soap has moisturizer built into its recipe. The result is that after washing my skin actually feels healthier than when it did before showering. It hasn't stopped be from still using a lotion, but I no longer have to use as much or use it as often. I bought a 6 pack at my local store for around $7 so the price on amazon is very fair. Also that being said I just started into my third bar last week after about six months. So ~$5 a year for soap that does a better job, I am using this stuff until someone can top it. I like the fresh scent over the deep clean, but they will both give you the same results. I am sure there names are more about targeted advertising than and actual difference in performance of the products.

Use this soap! it makes your skin feel and smell better, but doesn't make you smell like a girl. nuff said...but this soap definitely deserves it. Being a college student I usually buy the cheap Irish Spring soaps, which all have the same poignant scent that lets everyone around you know that you're, well, using Irish Springs. Dove Cool Moisture Soap with Cucumber and Green Tea(2-4.25 Oz Bars) is an okay bar soap but it seems to be hard to lather up. It could be my water hardness, but I must really work to get enough soap on my wash towel to get lathered up sufficiently. Aside from the lather issue, this soap has an appealing fragrance but it's not overly bold. It leaves your skin feeling soft and clean.
I never thought there would be differences in soaps, but there are. Ever since I've tried Pre de Provence, I cannot even imagine to ever go back again to use any other soap (bar or liquid) but this brand. The Verbena one has a subtle fragrance that I love (citrus like). It lathers well, leaves skin so soft, and it lasts more than regular soaps. One would only has o try it to believe what a great soap this is.

This soap is not only moisturizing, but the verbena scent is clean, non-obvious, and calming. It is a great soap, and wonderful feeling. My husband raves! This would make a wonderful gift, and is perfect for the bathroom or the kitchen.

This is a really great product. There is no smell to this product which is really nice! It does not leave my belly itchy or dry hours later. I have tried the burts bees "mama bee products" and it was okay but left my belly dry over time and itchy.
Mysore soap is almost always good, but when I purchased this product, I thought I was purchasing exactly what is pictured here--the cream sandalwood classic. What we received instead was the glycerin version, which has a much more sour scent and doesn't last nearly as long as the pictured soap. Not happy with what I got at all and feel a little as if I've been the victim of a minor bait-and-switch. I wish I could find THIS soap and not the much more disappointing glycerin version that we received.
We first used this soap in Brazil many years ago and loved it. We were surprised to be able to purchase it in the US. It is wonderful for your skin.
