This is one of the most popular soaps in India. The patchouli and sandalwood scents are strong, and this is a very nice, slightly gritty green bar that makes a shower an exotic experience. Nice to scent the drawer, so put a few unopened packages in your lingerie or underwear drawer and enjoy the incense-like fragrance.

About half the size of a typical domestic bar of bath soap, this soap lathers and rinses well, and is sufficiently hard to last a decent amount of time. But the real reason to get this soap is the exotic scent. Fantastic. I was looking for patchouli scented soap, and gave this a try. While there is some patchouli in it, there are also other scents. The overall effect is powerful without being overwhelming.

I think it's a great find at a good value. I'll be buying more.

Dr. Woods Drwood Castile Lav Soap 32.00 OZ ( Multi-Pack)

Love this soap! Use it for hands (diluted 50:50 with water in a foam pump), face, body. Haven't tried hair yet but bet it will be great! The smell is amazing, not overly floral, in fact my husband likes the smell of it and uses it in his shower and he would never use anything that smelled girly!!! I have acne prone skin with lots of black heads and now it is clear, soft and radient!! I bought the baby formula as well because I am expecting soon, but I see no reason I couldn't just buy the lavender and use it on the baby I don't think it will be irritating at all. Can't wait to try on hair and in laundry!

This soap smells nice. I use it in the shower for body and hair washing. On the sink for hand soap. Haven't tried it yet on laundry because we have a high efficiency washer, but it is low sudsing, so it might be okay. It also cleans the faucet without leaving water marks, probably because of the olive oil base. I tried it to help reduce the chemicals that I wash down the drain each day into our water system. I highly recommend it.

Adovia Sulfur Soap

I got this for my husband because his dermatologist recommended sulfur soap for his acne prone skin. Other soaps we've tried would work for a while in reducing his acne and oil on face but would overdry his skin so much that sometimes it would break out again just due to being over dried. This soap however has just enough sulfur and is gently on his skin, but has cleared up the blackheads and random zits that he had. His face is much smoother now and the oil is contained even with the long hours he works with his construction helmet. It doesn't have any fragrance and the other review said it smelled bad, but I personally don't think it's that bad at all and the smell is very subtle, it's not like I can smell it on him after he uses it. Also it's an all natural soap so I wouldn't expect it to have some artificial fragrance smell. Overall A+ for this sulfur soap.

My derm recommended this soap as part of my skin routine (I have combination skin and a tendency to get clogged pores) He even told me to go buy it on Amazon, lol. First off, the soap is not the color of the picture it is yellow. It has a nice smell and not at all offensive (I was a bit worried about that since it has sulfur in it) It cleanses well and does a decent job of removing eye makeup. The only problem with it is that it melts really quickly in water so make sure you store it in a soap dish that drains. Otherwise I think it works well to keep my skin healthy and I plan on continuing to use it.

I have Keratosis Pilaris which is a incurable skin condition. Basically it's when you have little bumps on your arms. It resembles acne but it's not acne and as I said earlier there is no cure. The reason I provide this beginning information is because I have had this for a long time. I could not get rid of it and all the doctors I went to would say it was acne and prescribe things that did not work. After researching, I read that sulfur soap, while not able to "cure" the condition, will lessen the bumps and the redness that comes with it. I was skeptical at first but went ahead and bought this product to see if it would work.

I started using it and have been using it for about two weeks now. I have to say that I am seeing significant changes in my skin already after two weeks of use. The sulfur in the soap really helps clean the skin and the redness I used to have with this disease is nearly gone now. I love this product. Unless you have this disease you really can't understand how difficult it can be to live with but this soap seems like it works. If you buy it for you won't be disappointed. I also recommended using oatmeal lotion right after using the soap. This is a great product. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the price, but I love it and highly recommend it for anyone with Keratosis.

If I could give this product a sixth star, I would. Over the past three years, I have periodically had a pernicious form of roseacea. Almost nothing has affected it except Metrogel. Metrogel, however, causes a great deal of unsightly flaking and entails a trip to the doctor, both of which I wanted to avoid. I also don't have the resources to afford things like ProActiv with its repeating subscription arrangements. Six weeks ago, I had to do something, though. I had severe subdermal swelling and quite a few lesions. It looked so bad that I was reluctant to go out in public, and the sores had become so painful that I could not shave.

So I bought the Adovia and began using it three times a day, leaving it on 10-20 minutes each time. On day 7, there was a noticeable improvement. By day 14, The swelling had gone down considerably and the lesions were scabbing over. Since there was still some reddening and inflammation at that point, I combined the Adovia with TriDerma's facial redness repair. By day 21, the problem had almost completely vanished. I have continued using the Adovia about twice a day. Only one sore has come back, and it disappeared pretty quickly.

Adovia has a very clear and pronounced cleansing, disinfecting, and exfoliating effect. Overuse can cause some skin irritation, but in general this is not a problem. If someone needs a cream that causes a soothing effect, adding the TriDerma can accomplish that.

Some reviewers have complained that the Adovia is expensive for a bar of soap. Since I bought it, the price has come down from $10. Even at the higher price, it was quite a bargain. After six weeks of extensive use, hardly any of the bar is gone. I expect that my bar will last about 4-5 months in all. Others have commented on the soap's smell. I haven't noticed anything unusual, and in any event the slight smell is gone when the soap is washed off. The one reviewer who stated that the soap's medicinal effect was gone after one use clearly didn't give this product much of a chance.

When I researched for a natural soap containing sulfur, this was one of the the ones that made me curious enough to buy. Wrong idea! After a few days of usage, my mildly affected acne face broke out intensely with cystic and painful acne. Very weird due to the fact that I use DDF's sulfur mask weekly and Proactiv's sulfur mask maybe once a month with no problems/irritations. Soap smells great, was yellow..not white as pictured and did nothing but ultimately break me out. I will stick to Dudu Osun's black soap that really works for my combination acne skin and is very cost effective as well. Also, the soap box does not disclose the percentage amount of sulfur at all on its packaging as it does in the product description (3% supposedly) listed here on Amazon.

Aoqili Seaweed Soap Bar 5.3 Oz

I've been using this soap for years. I love it and the effect it has on my skin; making it soft and silky. I was reminded of this recently when I ran out and used a bar of Kiss My Face for a couple weeks. My skin felt rough. I hurried here to order more of the Aoqili soap.

My problem area is on my back around hip, the area hard to work on. I've tried so many popular product claims to reduce the cellular and burn the fat, but this is the one really worked better than any other products. Smells good and last long time!

Yardley English Lavender French milled soap has a true lavender fragrance and makes a very nice lather. The bar lasts quite some time and it will last even longer if it is aged for a few months prior to use (although it will lose some of the smell) so I usually unwrap it and place it in my dresser drawers and linen closet where it gives a clean, delicate scent to the items stored there.

Not only is this a good quality soap, it is readily available and is much less expensive than soap of similar quality imported from Europe. The English Rose and and especially the Lemon Verbena scents are also quite nice but the lavender remains my favorite. If you have stuck with Ivory and have never used a French milled soap, give this a try. Highly recommended.

Pink Soap Saver, The New Soap on a Rope w/ String Lock

I have the white version of these for my own bar soaps, so I know how practical these are to keep my Syndet (shampoo) bars, solid conditioner bars, and glycerin bath soaps dry between uses. When I bathe, I use the glycerin soap right in the Soap Saver like a scrubby or a wash cloth. You can even use the shampoo and conditioner bars in the bag, and I usually do this when I'm traveling. I prefer these thinner net bags to other kinds of soap bags because they dry quicker and do not allow the bars to become mushy.

At Christmas, I gave a set of soap, Syndet, and conditioner bars to my best friend and I wanted something special to go with them. Dr.Woods Products Almond Castile Soap

This is one of my very favorite cleaning products. I love it because 1) the ingredients are all healthy and natural, 2) it smells AMAZING like the greatest almondy cherry-ish smell, 3) it is SO versatile (hair, body wash, bubble bath (short-lived bubbles, but good for the kids bodies and no harmful chemicals), house cleaner, laundry detergent does it all naturally!) and 4) it is so much LESS expensive than Dr Bronners. Just remember good natural soap doesn't usually "bubble" like mainstream brands, as its usually unnatural chemicals that make that unnatural process happen.

Amazon shipping came through as expected. No boxes dripping half my purchase. The price I paid was great. I recieved a large amount (seems like more than a quart) of soap that will last for several projects. The soap itself seems very high quality, though I have to disclose that I've never used castille soap before. I would definitely recommend this product and supplier to anyone.

When you first open this bottle, you may find yourself very happy then suddenly sad when you remember it's for your skin and not for your tongue. Other than that, this robust scent is very unique and satisfying among other soaps. Like the other Woods soaps, the consistency is just right and is very manageable. For the price and in general, you will be hard-pressed to find anything better in terms of quality. If the scent isn't your cup of tea, you can use it to clean your floors, counter-tops, etc but remember to try out the other ones. Dispensers also work well with this. Just be careful pouring it into opaque containers because you can't hear it and may end up spilling over like I just did :P

I've been experimenting with various homemade cleaning product recipes and liquid castile soap seems to be a staple. I like the famous Dr. Bronner's stuff, but wasn't feeling up to paying for it. Dr. Woods, however, seems to provide as respectable a soap as one could ask for. While any real faults in any of my experiments are probably due to the recipe itself, this ingredient has reacted as expected and I got to say I've had some great results. When using this soap on its own, I've been impressed as well. The almond aroma is not overwhelming, but clean and natural. I've seen some reviews complaining this doesn't sud well, but I have no complaints there. It rinses completely as well with no surface residue. What causes me to most to recommend this soap is the price. I find this a great buy.

It is also moisturizing, for my skin anyway. I have dry skin also. And, while it does not suds a whole lot, it does enough for me. It is just not a real sudsy soap. But that doesn't mean it is not cleaning.

I love Olay soap. Unfortunately their massage soap is OK but not worth the extra price to pay for a soap made slightly different. I would rather buy a massage product that lasts to bathe with. I wasn't impressed with it's massage qualities. Try it for yourself at least once though as this is just my opinion.

This scent by Olay is by far my favorite. It really feels great on the skin and this particular bar lasts quite some time. My only issue with this purchase is that it came a bit beat up and the soap appeared to be slightly dated, but when I opened it up, it worked just as it should and smelled wonderful... I suppose it is has to maintain the perfection of something so light as soap packaging. Regardless, I love this and will be ordering more.

Over the years I have encountered many skin problems with commercial soaps. I have tried most all of them, Dial, Ivory, Olay, and so on. I bought some hand made soaps on a trip out west and they were very good. I found these made by PlantLife after searching the internet and they have been the best so far. No skin rashes or break outs and the Lime has a very nice clean fragrance. I have bought these and the Lemon Grass and they are great.
