Dettol Soap 75g (Case of 12)

I usually use it for my kids to keep them away from germs so they could be save. for me it is good one.

This Indian-made Dettol is a strange reddish-orange color, not the yellow color of the Made-in-Britain Dettol. The scent is fairly close, but it feels a bit different on the skin. The bars are TINY, also. For us Americans who don't know what 75 grams is -it ends up being a bar of soap slightly larger than what you'd get in a hotel room.

I have been using dettol soap since I was a kid in Taiwan. So happy to be able to get it on Amazon with a reasonable price! The nice quality soap bar won't turn into a wet pile in my soap container which lives in my gym bag permanently. My favorite part is of course the smell.... I feel so clean!

I love the soap and have been using this for years. I'm having a hard time buying it as I use to get it from Bonsavon but I think they are no longer in business.

I bought this for use at the gym. The lavender feels good on the muscles after working out. Also, after getting out of the pool water, the high amount of shea butter in this bar is very moisturizing. Although I have trouble with 'artificially scented' products, the natural lavender oil in this soap has not been a problem for me.

I have used this soap both for face and for body, it has fairly light scent and like all soap product, it does leave some flakes after drying.

It was much less than 100 years ago that the major brands of bar soap that were marketed around the country were made out of vegetable oil -think, for instance, the original Palmolive -and Kirk's Castile must have had its place among those lathering luminaries.

I'm not a soap historian so I don't know exactly when or why the manufacturers switched to using tallow for their formulations (maybe it was cheaper to obtain?, maybe easier to work with?) but in any case they all attempted to outdo each other by advertising those bars of tallow soap with various gimmicks using newfangled technology. There was deodorant soap, 'beauty' soap, 'mild' soap for your babies, and so forth. In the process, their original products were all superseded.

Nevertheless, when I first became aware of Kirk's Castile Soap (mid 1970s) it was still a brand of Proctor and Gamble and could still be found in supermarkets in some places, where it was the largest (in size) bar on the shelves, and also the least expensive. P & G did not, however, advertise it or try to market it aggressively in any way.

Today none of the facts in the above paragraph may still be the case, but what remains true is that this soap produces the greatest lather of anything you've ever used, and washes both your body and your hair very effectively (yet gently).

That, kids, is your brief soap lecture for today. Remember to wash behind your ears, rinse your hair until it squeaks, and use vegetable oil soap so you can go about your business without your pores being clogged by greasy renderings from cattle, and so that you may carry the vague fragrance of the tropics with you instead of the unsubtle scents synthesized from petroleum.

A good soap, not harsh, free from unwanted colors, perfumes or lotions. Quick delivery and solid packaging. Recommend.

I tried three bars of the scented soap and the scent aggravated my allergies. The only difference in the formula between the scented and unscented versions of the soap is the scent-everthing else is the same. I loved the lather!! I ordered the eighteen pack of unscented and I have had several very nice showers! I highly recommend this soap!

1) it lathers nicely and feels very gentle on the skin. Rinses completely and leaves the skin soft and NOT ITCHY!

2) After five showers the bar of soap looks new. There were a couple of complaints in reviews for this soap that it just shrunk down to nothing very quickly: I didn't see any problem.

3) If worried about cost-per-shower of the soap buy MANY bars at once. Remember, old soap is cheap soap. Not only did you probably pay a lower cost two years ago but the soap has been sitting on the shelf slowly drying. The result: when you unwrap an old bar it lathers the cloth nicely but the bar doesn't shrink/dissolve as fast. So, more showers per bar of soap!

Have courage: Buy a large amount. I can't imagine you not liking it, but if you don't, you can give this soap as a gift to someone or donate to charity. But, I think you will like it!!!

We use this product in our Sacristy to remove wine/lipstick stains from our church linens. Twice I ordered this product from Amazon; both times I was sent a different version of the product I ordered. The Pears soap I ordered was to be "the original transparent soap," which was manufactured in England. The version sent to me by both Amazon suppliers was manufactured in India for the Pears Company in England. (Note: The version sent does not include "the original transparent soap" on its packaging.) I believe the soap will do as it has done in the past for us, but I really am disappointed in the credability of these two suppliers.

Pears soap's formula has changed as of 2009. It is no longer the wonderful, natural product we all knew and loved.

Original ingredients: Sodium Palmitate, Natural Rosin, Glycerine, Water, Sodium Cocoate, Rosemary Extract, Thyme Extract, Pears Fragrance Essence.

I have been using Pears soap for many years. With it's mild formula and barely a hint of a scent it worked wonders on the sensitive skin on my face. My skin always felt clean and smooth after using. It didn't feel oily or greasy. It lathered well and rinsed easily. I loved everything about it. I would buy many bars at a time since it's so hard to find in my area. I did find it for $1.00 per bar at the Dollar Tree a few years ago and that's where I've been buying it ever since.

But, unfortunately, someone decided to change the formula. I recently needed to replenish my stock and I bought four new bars. When I opened the box I noticed that the soap was now wrapped in plastic. After tearing the plastic off I encountered the most horrid perfumey odor. When I used this bar of soap on my face I noticed that the suds were difficult to rinse off, my skin didn't feel clean and I carried the perfumey odor on my face and hands for many hours afterwards. Then I noticed that my skin started to itch around my face and I started feeling nauseous due to the strong scent. I had to throw the bar away. I tried to make myself believe that this bar's strong scent was only a fluke but after opening the other four bars I realized that the company who manufactures Pears soap must have changed the formula. I looked online and found that indeed they had. I checked the box and sure enough, the formula now has all kinds of new ingredients which were not there in the past.

So now I am left with no more wonderful soap to wash my face with.

Why did the company have to change things when this wonderful soap was doing fine just the way it was for hundreds of years???

Blue Q Bar Soap

It is hard to find ylang ylang, though its therapeutic uses are many. The soap is well made and lasts me 4 months in a shower used by a family of 5.

My husband really likes this soap. It's got a great citrus-y scent and is well milled, so it lasts a while. It has a whimsical box and makes a great gift or stocking stuffer. The only problem is that it's hard to find. When I see it back in stock on Amazon, I grab some because it sells out fast and I don't know if it will be available again. If you can get it, it's worth the price for a treat.

I initially bought this as a sorta Joke since My BFF and I use the term HOTT MESS under certain circumstances. When It arrived, The scent is SOOO Nice. Its light and a pleasant smell! You can smell the fragrance eminating from the box. Im glad I spotted HOTT MESS, I was only buying this for the name, and what a pleasant surprize. Definatly recommend. Worth the price, the box is durable if you wanted to use it as a Visual in the bathroom

Blue Q's Hot Mess Soap is a sweet little option for those of us that prefer simpler, less chemical cleanliness. The primary ingredients in the bar are palm and coconut oils, which might frighten off some potential buyers. Let me reassure you this is not a greasy bar. On the contrary, it will leave you feeling exceptionally clean, and lightly scented. Speaking of the scent, the orchid fragrance is sweet on the skin. Very delicate and unequivocally feminine, though I was actually hoping for a bit more fragrance. I deducted one star because when I think of a hot mess living on the edge, orchid scented and all, I think of something a bit stronger. 2% Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap - Vegan Formula

2% Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap - Noble Formula 3.25 oz

My dermatologist suggested the use of pyrithione zinc soap to treat candida albicans. I've been using this Noble Formula soap twice daily for several days now, and I already see a positive difference in my complexion.

This particular product is unscented and I have not had any allergic reaction to it whatever. This is a welcome relief, because my skin is hyper-sensitive and I'm allergic to most soaps and shampoos. So far, so good!

Now for an update.....

I've been using this soap twice a day for almost 3 months and still no allergic reaction. It's gentle and pleasant, with a light oatmeal fragrance and no chemical smell. It doesn't suds much, but it leaves my skin feeling clean. It's also really economical, despite the initial cost. I'm still using the same bar that I reviewed above, and it has hardly shrunk at all. (Suggest not letting the bar soak in the water just briefly dampen it, rub it onto a wet wash cloth, and use the cloth to apply the soap.)

The bottom line? Very pleased!

This item is not just a soap. It cannot be found in 99% of drugstores. The fact most do not know about seborrheic dermatitis, and or psoriasis can both be caused by one issue or a combination of symptoms. I personally have psoriasis. Seborrheic dermatitis appears to run in families. Stress, fatigue, weather extremes, oily skin, infrequent shampoos or skin cleaning, use of lotions that contain alcohol, skin disorders (such as acne), or obesity may increase the risk.

So, if not knowing that and now learning it helps you to understand its not necessarily your fault. It comes down to how you attempt to treat it. Most of the market items "designed to treat" the issue actually make it worse. As you see certain lotions and so forth can actually make it worse if containing alcohol and others are so thick the skin cannot breath. You feel better due to it not feeling dry but in appearance it in fact looks worse due to it being well lubricated making it "Glow" red instead of a lighter red.

The point I am attempting to make is that try hard to find what causes yours if at a lower level and you can overcome it. Mine personally is caused by the fact my face creates an excessive amount of lubricant for the skin. WHo knew right? Always thought moisturizing the skin is helpful. Problem is if the body slows down based on certain factors as in for me I have discovered is my Diet (eating bad foods) and not a high enough intake of water. Those are pretty much the basics of skin maintenance but, for those of us who are extra challenged its more important.

THis product is fantastic. Reason being is that if you use regular soap pn your face it REALLY dries it out. This soap has the Pyrithione zinc which cleans and treats the skin at the same time. If used regularly you will definitely see the difference.Of course do not forget with anything the body develops its own counteraction to everything you give it if given too often so at first the instinct is to use it everyday. Once you see how it works, alternate Morning one day and then evening prior to bed the next day. Then skip the next day complately and start over the following morning. It keeps your skin on its toes...lol....

GREAT PRODUCT THAT HELPS THOSE OF US THAT DEAL WITH , SUFFER, AND PERHAPS ARE EMBARASSED WHEN GOING OUT WITH THE RED SKIN CAUSED BY SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS OR PSORIASIS. IT'S A SECRET WEAPON OF WHICH SOME DERMATOLOGISTS AREN'T EVEN AWARE.

I have suffered from dry skin ever since I can remember. However, I never had skin that was so sensitive that I couldn't even use the most "gentle" cleansers on it. Three years ago I gave birth to my son, and my entire body chemistry changed, as I know that it certainly can after such hormonal changes. My skin became increasingly drier as the months passed. Over the past year I have lost 45 lbs by working out on a daily basis. This caused my face to become irritated and stingy after a workout. At the time I was using Aveeno calming foam cleaner, and it caused my face to dry and crack. I switched to Burt's Bees sensitive skin cleanser in hopes that it would help relieve my skin. For a month or two it seemed to accomplish this task. However, after a few more months I noticed that my face had returned to being cracked and dry. Not only that, but the skin on my forehead looked greasy and red (with scales). I thought for sure that I had Seborrheic Dermatitis (and I still have an appointment with a derm to see what is going on next week), so I started to feel hopeless. I thought that I would be doomed to use steroids or anti-fungal creams for the rest of my life. My skin routine used to consist of a cleaner and moisturizer, so this was extremely devastating to me.

Upon searching, I found that zinc was listed as an ingredient for people with dry and irritated skin. I thought I would take a leap of faith and order t his soap. I got it yesterday and decided to try it this morning. Morning is when my skin looks best..until I shower and it becomes dry and flaky again. Well, after ONE wash my face was noticeably smoother and less red to the point where it looked completely normal (compared to the rest of my face). There were a few dry patches, but not anywhere NEAR as many as I had before. My face didn't feel tight today, and I felt confident enough to leave my house. I had been depressed and starting to isolate myself from people for the past few weeks. I am going to give this product a few weeks to see what happens, but if this progress keeps up...I will be forever grateful to this company. I plan to order a few more bars!

I bought this purely to treat the tinea versicolor I get on my upper arms and chest. The oatmeal pieces do make for a ragged bar of soap, so I lather this up on a washcloth, apply it on as thick as I can, then leave it on for a minutes while I shave my legs. I do this maybe 2-3 times a week, and it did clear up my tinea versicolor. No, it will not work as quickly as prescription strength selenium sulfide, but it works much better than the low dose of selenium sulfide found in dandruff shampoos.

Yeah, it's an expensive bar of soap, but as I only use it only problem areas, it has lasted me for months.

I gave this product a try for my facial rosacea, and I have to say it is effective in controlling redness/blemishes. I especially like the way it rinses so clean from the skin. My only quibble with the soap is that the oatmeal protruding from the soap is very hard. I would never put this bar of soap to my face, and I grimace when I rub the soap between my hands because the oatmeal chunks hurt the palms of my hands so much. This would be a 5-star product if it weren't for that darned oatmeal which I suppose must serve some kind of a constructive function.

This product lathers pretty good and spells like a regular soap it had a good scent and left my skin super soft it did however work faster than the Likas papaya soap for me! I Do Not recommend this for washing your face though if you have sensitive or acne prone skin it might make you break out alot so just use on the body it is ment to whiten the skin but I don't think it'll do it in 7 days as the box says so don't expect excessive super fast results in a day being realistic if that's what your looking for maybe this product isn't for you it's a good product over all and I enjoyed reviewing it I'm almost done with it ! :)
