Nubian Heritage Goat's Milk & Chai Bar Soap
I bought this soap three days ago and I already feel a difference in my skin. My skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized. The natural ingredients did not irritate my skin( I even used it on my face and I have extremely sensitive skin) and left a light, pleasant smell. I don't know how this will work in the long run but so far, so good!

I had to amend my review from three stars to five because after using it up--both my husband and I love it and I am buying more! I have never had soap that takes makeup off sooo well--even waterproof mascara. It does not sting! We also notice that our skin is soft and I have not had to use lotion! I really, really like this soap. I notice that the name is different now, so I hope the soap has not changed in anyway.

This soap is amazing. I give it five stars for the following reasons:1) First, the smell -If strong scents easily overwhelm you, this bar is one to try. It has a subtle sweet smell. I look ridiculous smelling my bar of soap but it just smells delightful.
2) When other soaps fail to treat your skin issues, Nubian Heritage does not -Most people try this soap because of skin issues, including skin sensitivity issues. I am very sensitive to most cleansing products; my face becomes a dry, itching mess quite easily. I also still contend with pimples. This soap helps control my acne without turning my face into a dry, red mess.
3) Your skin was soft once and will be again -This soap has phenomenal moisturizing properties. It feels great on your skin. I don't have to apply baby oil or moisturizing body lotion because this soap does it all. If your hair becomes dry during particular periods of the year, try washing your hair with this bar rather than using hot oils or protein soaks.
4) Ingredients you can pronounce -I don't want dyes or heavy chemicals in anything I use but especially on my face. This soap has a straightforward ingredient list.
This product is vegan in nature with no animal based products. It is not tested on animals and is made in the United States.

I actually bought this soap from a local store since I didn't want to wait and pay shipping. Same brand though, love Nubian Heritage products. This soap is divine. I also use the black soap which is drying so I use the coconut papaya one after I rince off the black soap because it seems to conditions the skin and my skin is less dry. Using the two together has been wonderful. I have 20 year old stretch marks from childbirth that are fading! Anything that can do that is a winner in my book. I thought I would be stuck with those for life and never really tried to do away with them since I thought it was a lost cause. Then I started using these products and I swear in two weeks I started to notice that those stretch marks were fading and some disappeared all together. I told my boyfriend and he said it was placebo effect but then he started to really notice dark spots fading and completely disappearing as well and now he is using the soap too which means now I have to buy more since it is going quite fast. Also got my teen and 22 year old to start using it. Now my bathroom smells like a tropical paradise every time I bathe and now showering is no longer a chore but I actually look forward to the process. And my skin is smooth like a baby. This soap is a little more expensive than your average chemical filled soap but it's worth it.

I bought this soap to help get rid of scabies. I checked about 10 other websites for a list of ingredients, but couldn't find one... I received the soap today and they STINK, and not like neem as I would have expected. For inquiring minds, here are the ingredients as listed on the packaging:Sodium palmate, sodium palm kernelate/cocoate, sodium soap of neem oil, talc, PERFUME, petroleum jelly, lauric acid, disodium EDTA, disodium etidronate, lanolin, hard paraffin, vitamin E acetate, glyeryl monostearate, methyl paraben, CI 12740, and CI 61565.
The good news is you can hardly smell the neem (if that smell bothers you), the bad news is the perfume is quite strong--I can smell the soap from hall outside the bathrooms.
My boyfriend tried using it to clear up his psoriasis because we found a few websites that said it worked for that, but it didn't really do anything. It just treats acne. But really, my skin hasn't even felt cleaner.

I bought this soap for a family member with acne issues and eczema. The smell of the soap is kind of funny....something that just takes some time getting used to...BUT the soap seems to work for her. Since using the soap she has experienced fewer breakout than with regular soap and it does not dry out her skin like some of the other acne product out there. Well it has been a few months since purchasing the soap and I must say I like it. The smell takes some getting used to, but it has worked well for my sisters skin. Her acne has really shown improvement and my eczema is really doing well with the soap. The thing I like most is that whenever I bathe in it and then go outside I do not get eaten up with mosquito bites like normal. Something in this soap makes them steer clear and who can't love that. I am running low, so if you will excuse me I need to go order some more...lol!!

I've tried many acne products over the years but by the time I hit 30, I was still getting recurring spots in the 'T zone'.I discovered Margo soap a couple of years ago and after one application of Margo soap, my skin felt the cleanest it ever has done, but without the dryness that other soaps cause. Within a month of twice-daily use, instead of having two or three spots at one time, I now only succumb to a spot every few weeks and even then they are nowhere near as angry or noticeable as before. On the three occasions that I've stopped using Margo, I've noticed the acne creep back.
Margo soap truly is amazing! I've found this soap at various markets in the States, but it's not as easy to get hold of in the UK, so I mail order it from India whilst there. It makes it more expensive, but still miles cheaper than over-the-counter acne preperations. Don't get it in your eyes either the anti-bacterial neem oil stings to high Heaven!
Give Margo a go, but make sure you give it a month of dedicated, twice-daily use: I'd be suprised if you don't see marked results.

I use a neem clay face mask that is absolutely amazing! Seeing the effects neem had on my skin I thought I would give this a shot. The soap does, in fact, smell like neem...which isn't the most pleasant smell in the world...but you don't smell it once you rinse it off. I WILL recommend that those purchasing this don't leave it sitting on a ledge in the shower or anywhere it will be constantly attacked by water....the bar will slowly start to "peel" into layers and become hard. I personally keep mine in one of those small travel soap holders and it lasts 2-3 times as long! Good stuff...and I even received a free gift! Margo makes good, quality products! Check it out!

Bought this to make soap with the lady on Valentines day. Used ginger, orange, sage, and rosemary. Melted fast and set quickly. Washes great and smells fantastic! Also bonus points from the gal for being "romantic"! win win!
Desert Essence - Tea Tree Therapy Cleansing Bar, 3.5 oz bar soap
The soap had a nice light smell. It didn't do what I wanted it to do which was clear up my acne. I think it is the Tea Tree oil that is the culprit. I read that it can clear out breakouts, but it didn't work for me.

Tea tree is know for its antibacterial properties. It is a little stinky but it is a medicine for those with acne, like me. It does not dry the skin as much as benzoyl peroxide and still cleans it. I gave it four star due to the unpleasant scent. I have tried most of the over the counter product and nothing works.This is old school, when the skin is clean the chances of developing new zits it's minimal. I use it once at bedtime or sometimes in the morning. In addition a good moisturizer is important something that is not greasy like the new Neosporin Eczema(Amazon sells it).
Both of the product are well priced and is kind of a little secret from those who don't know and spend their hard earn money on all kind of big name products

First off, this soap DOES NOT lighten skin..so if you want lighter skin or even-toned skin..it is not for you..I KNOW this because I talked to a MAKARI representative who said it is STRICTLY for moisturizing! The makari antiseptic soap is what helps lighten and even-out the skin tone.But if you are like me and have been struggling to find a soap that actually moisturizes your skin..this is the soap for you.

I've never bought these on amazon. In fact I haven't seen them in a long time but I used to buy this soap from a store on ebay. It would have seemed I had spoken (exchanged email) with the owner herself? Very Nice lady.Anyway, this soap is Sooo Good!! It's been a while, but I'll never forget how lovely it smelled.....oh! was it ever scrumptious!! I've tried all but two in this set and a bunch of others and I just loved them all. Whoever makes these soaps has a signature style that is very unique to the soaper; the blends of herbs & essential oils are not the common find which I found interesting and appealing. I love the rustic look & smooth feel of the bars well, they were smooth unless they contained clays. Can you tell I love handcrafted, natural soaps? For those who might wonder they were nice hard bars that lasted about a month between my husband and I & They also make your bathroom smell Wonderful!!. I really enjoyed using this soap in case you didn't notice.

So far so good, right? So why only 3/5 stars?
The soap is packaged with the bricks all directly against each other, and by the time the soap got to us, you couldn't tell one scent from another. Once you got through a good 1/4 to 1/2 of a particular bar (when all of the stuff "contaminated" by its neighbors got used up, I presume) you could start to smell its unique fragrance, but by that time you're so used to having it on you that it's about time to switch it up anyway.
I think it would help if they'd throw a piece of wax paper or something between each bar.

Sebamed Face and Body Wash, 6.8 Fluid Ounce Bottle
If you have sensitive skin, Sebamed Liquid Face and Body Wash might be just what you are looking for. I have extremely sensitive skin and am allergic to everything, but Sebamed products have never caused me any problems.This particular product lathers really well and has a pleasant smell, especially if you're used to using cleansers that smell like school glue, as most 'sensitive skin' products do.
A small amount of this on a bath poof creates luxurious lather and leaves your skin feeling smooth and lightly moisturized.
I don't think that Sebamed has a "medicine-y" smell, but like I said, I'm used to having to use products with no fragrance in them at all, so the little bit of fragrance in Sebamed made me really happy (and hasn't caused me any allergies).
It's a little bit expensive, but a little goes a long way, so you may find you'll use less Sebamed than you would other shower gel-type products.
It also does an amazing job of keeping your "private parts" clean and fresh-smelling through the day something about maintaining the proper acidity in that area keeping harmful bacteria from multiplying. Sebamed also makes a "feminine intimate wash" product that is even better at this, but have not seen it on amazon...the regular body wash is pretty darned good, though!
All-in-all, I can't recommend this product highly enough. This is a good size to try, but after that you will be ordering the larger bottle with the pump dispenser which is the one I get it lasts me and my daughters somthing in the neighborhood of a year.

i use it on the facedoes not irritate the eyes when it gets there, does not dry out the skin ... but also does not feel like much more than water with some gelatin
if you need something very gentle this will probably work. in fact the skin almost feels moisturized after you use it instead of being dried out. however i don't think its terribly effective as a cleanser ... but i don't need it to be. this is not something a mechanic would be able to wash his hands with.

I was a bit skeptical at first about the quality of these soaps; I think they're popular in Malaysia and in other countries within that region of the world. I figured they can't be any better than the Palmolive bar soaps at the local Pathmark or ShopRite. I was proven wrong and was very pleased with my purchase. When I made the lather, the bar felt really smooth and it has this wonderful baby powder-like scent--the combination of milk and pearl powder really works well together. I think it makes my skin a little bit smoother. I've just finished my first bar, and I have to say, the quality of the soap was very consistent all the way to the end. The only con is that the bars are a little smaller than I expected them to be. Overall a good purchase, definitely worth trying if you've never used it before.

I can't say enough positive things about Plantlife soaps.I came to natural soaps for a very specific reason--a husband whose eczema was virtually out of control. For years, we'd tried keeping him on soaps designed for sensitive skin. While this would generally calm flare-ups slightly, it wouldn't prevent them from creeping up again. Admittedly, since beginning to use Plantlife's soaps, my husband is NOT eczema free... BUT his skin is drastically improved and his flare-ups are down to about 10% of what they once were.
The scents of Plantlife's soaps are remarkably pleasant too. I've yet to find one that is offensive to my nose--they're delicately done, not over-powering or too "perfume-y."
So if you're thinking of switching to herbal soaps to treat your skin to the best, most natural clean possible--try some Plantlife soaps. If you're simply looking for some aromatherapy or some way to mix-up your usual soap routine--try some Plantlife soaps. I'd be willing to bet that if you returned to "normal," store-bought soaps afterwards, you'd do so grudgingly and reluctantly!

Oh, I love this soap. It's like I can't wait to take a shower in the morning. Yeah, seeing myself naked is always a treat, but bathing with this incredible soap really makes me foam up. I've tried commercial soaps; Zest, Irish Spring, Palmolive...they're all gross...they clog up your skin, they clog up the drain, and they make you smell perfumey rather than really clean and the whole point of bathing is getting clean, isn't it or am I missing the point somehow?Some people go around all day smelling about as fresh as a barnyard. I really don't have a high tolerance for foul smelling people...I'm pretty open minded about a lot of things, but please, if you're going to exude your pungent aroma, go somewhere else and please, don't tell me it's your aura.
With this soap you smell clean and fresh all day. People actually offer to pay me $5.00 to smell my arm pits. $7.50 if I have to take my shirt off.
Okay, I'm trying to be funny in this review, you got me, but if you really want to "get me", get some of this soap and wash up.

Doesn't smell like Lavender but more of a combination of other things such as "sage" which has the most dominant-like aroma. I had to give this a rating of 3 because this bar feels nice and lathers up smooth, BUT I cant get past the awkward smell. I was just expecting to smell 'strictly' L.A.V.E.N.D.E.R and did not get that experience.I can inhale even the cheapest of anything that advertises Lavender and it smell like L.A.V.E.N.D.E.R this doesn't cut it for me. Nice packaging and fast delivery atleast I can say.

I am a huge fan of Plantlife products in general because they are natural and free of preservatives and chemicals. That alone is great. What makes Plantlife products better is they are masters of their craft and the products they provide are wonderful.Lavender for me is a tricky scent because there are so many different versions of it. A lot of lavender scented products are cloying to me. This particular soap has a lovely, "honest" lavender smell and does not have undertones of any other scents. When I use this in the shower, especially one of the long ones that are great for unwinding, this is one of my favorite treats. It fills the bathroom with that wonderful and soothing lavender fragrance. One of the greatest things I have found is while it will fill my bathroom with the lovely scent I don't spend the rest of the day feeling like I have a field of flowers chasing after me. It leaves a light subtle scent on my skin. Additionally, the soap does not dissolve within one use. The singular bar of Plantlife soap, I have found, lasts me at least as long as two bars of Dove and other large brand soaps.
The soap itself is silky and pleasant on my skin, without being over drying. The simple packaging, I also find quite nice. I very much appreciate Plantlife not saturating the soap with a bunch of artificial coloring to make it more "marketable". I find quite a bit of beauty in the simplicity of the dense square bar and simple paper wrap.
Overall, I find this soap to be a luxurious sweetly scented treat for bath time. I have bought other scents and had wonderful experiences with those as well. It is definitely worth the extra cost for one bar of soap especially since, as I mentioned above, it lasts a long time.
Oatmeal and Stout Soap Bar with Shea Butter Made with Guinness Extra Stout Beer
My fiance had very dry and itchy winter skin and not only were the ingredients beneficial in helping with the dryness but the smell was divinely soothing. It quickly became one of his favorite soaps. I have sensitive skin and had no problems using the soap, plus the ingredients are known to not only be safe for sensitive skin but to help relieve skin that is currently irritated by outside factors (i.e. beer helps with softening, oatmeal with calming, and shea with moisturizing and calming, etc.). The soap can be mildly exfoliating as there are oatmeal pieces and flecks within it, which both myself and fiance found to be lovely (it added more of a texture sensation than any noticeable exfoliation in my opinion). It's also a decent sized chunk which is nice. I would definitely recommend giving it a go.
