I purchased this product because the winter season had taken a toll on my skin and a doctor on TV had suggested olive oil soap. I knew that goat's milk was good for skin so I figured the combination of the two might help with the dryness. I was right (and the lovely scent was a bonus)! I purchased enough for my family and suggest it to friends as well. And for those who care, it's made in the USA. I can't say enough good things about this soap!!!
I recommend all South of France products. They lather well, smell great, and make my skin feel sooo soft. I sometimes use it as a body wash too, and it's wonderful.

The tin the soap came in is good quality & has an adorable "picture" of a bus on the front (as shown). It will fit perfectly in my '78 Westfalia. The soap in the tin smells pretty good (very earthy, which I like) & is great quality. I like the idea of having the tin for the soap to rest in while in transit or while not in use. (You know how soap does on the sink or in the dish, lots of residue, so it's nice to contain that in a small area like the camper part of the Westy.) Love it!

I received a sample of this with an order I placed directly with Seattle Sundries. I will admit when I first smelled it I didn't like it AT ALL because I thought it smelled like clay. I bought these for my sons as stocking stuffers. I thought the product was neat. They are beyond toys so I always look for different things. They are all in to natural stuff. The pictures were creative. My boys liked them. As far as the quality of the soap I have no idea if they even used them. They were just something different to put in the stockings.

Bonny Doon Farm products are made with the best ingredients and it shows. The lavender soap aroma is like brushing against a lavender bush. There isn't any chemical smells associated with it unlike some other brands of "natural" soaps. It leaves you smelling great. It's a very pleasant experience. One that I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
This is my second Malin + Goetz product that I really like. I have sensitive skin and this does not affect it at all. The scent is very mild and the lather it generates is excellent. I would recommend this product to anyone.

The bar is smaller than normal/anticipated but exceeds all other criteria. Smell is great but sublime. Function, does what it is supposed to do. Lather is rich and inviting. I've only written a couple of reviews about products that I feel particularly passionate about and this is one of them. I purchased this product locally at a very expensive boutique. I just happened to pick it up and was overwhelmed by the scent. It is very strong and berry, just lovely. Anyway, to my delight I wasn't disappointed when I used it. It lathers wonderfully, scent lasts on your skin for quite some time and the soap itself last a very long time. I have found that sometimes the more I pay for a soap the quicker it dissapates. The quality of this soap cannot be beaten. I just happened to google it and found that a Vendor named WOW Health sells it in a 3 pack!!! Even though I haven't purchased it yet, I am certain to in the near future.
Wow! What a soap! It's fantastic, smells great and is all natural which is great for i have problem prone skin. I have used everything from 'Pear' soaps,'Dove', to 'Alveno'and many others(i either couldn't take the scent or it made my skin condition worse), and decided to stick with 'Olay'. Olay ribbons is a nice wash and i thought it wouldn't get any better than that (ofcause couldn't use it on my face) but was i wrong. This soap is soooo much better, it made my skin very soft and has a nice non over powering pleasant scent! I have finally found something i could use on my WHOLE body, as for years i bath with one thing and wash my face with another. Now i only have one step, everything is done in the shower, no more shower then face bowl(yeahhh!) I would recommend plantlife soaps to everyone! Just ordered six more, will be trying the different ones they have to see which i like best, cant wait for them to arrive! The only down-side is that they dont last long at all, mine's was done in about a lil over a week using twice a day(i use the natual loofah fiber body bath pads), it is a 'soft' soap. I bought this to accompany my fist safety razor experience. I don't have anything to compare it with except for canned cream and I was really surprised how wonderful it was. I bought the badger brush and this combo gets a nice lather and the scent is mild but pleasant. I've been wet-shaving on and off since the early eighties and I've used a lot of soaps and creams. I finally got around to trying this one and I'm sorry I waited so long. This is a large puck of soap, over five ounces, and the tin is a nice touch. The scent is strong but not overpowering. I like it. It is difficult for me to describe scents in a meaningful way, everyone has their own preferences. If you like mild or unscented soaps, you may want to pass on this one. If you like a scent that stands out, then this is for you. But how does it shave? The lather builds quickly and easily. I generally face lather soaps with a boar brush and a few swirls on the soap cake and you ready to go. The soap is forgiving as far as the correct soap/water ratio, but experimenting a little pays dividends. The lather is slick, cushioning, and fairly long lasting. It is also quite moisturizing and shouldn't leave your face feeling dried out. The price may seem steep compared to drug store soaps, but remember that this is a larger puck than say, Van Der Hagen and will last much longer. Pre de Provence will definatly find it's way into my regular rotation along side my beloved Tabac and TOBS. It will be right at home.
I was given the large bar of the pear soap as a gift. It's smells heavenly and is a good soap. Not too drying. The 250 gram bar is way to big. I recommend this size to easily fit in your hand.
I bought this soap at a place called Sqecial's Media for 2 dollars. Anyway, I have red spots all over my face, and the day after I had used this product as a cleanser, my face felt AMAZING and it really reduced a lot of the redness in my face. Currently, I am using this product and it feels great, smells great, and works great. But I will say that it isn't something that cures oily skin, dry skin, or prevents breakouts. But after you use it, it definitely makes a difference in the texture of my skin and the color of my skin but that's probably just the shea butter and the aloe vera really taking care of my problems... I also like this product because it's vegetarian!

I have been purchasing this soap for almost a year and I love it! I try to order enough in advance so that I am never out. I saw it at a booth in the mall recently and they wanted $4 a bar. I use a small exfoliating sponge with it and it makes my skin so soft. I originally ordered it for my daughters' dry skin last winter. She gets pretty bad exzema and this is one of the only things that has ever helped (not even the expensive prescription creams helped). I do not even purchase face wash from the store anymore, this is all I use. I ran out one time and my skin started to break out. Once I started using it again my skin cleared right up. If you have dry skin you have to give this a shot!This is a great product. It smells wonderful. I order at least 6 bars at a time and have for years. The large single bars last at least a month to 6 weeks. It is a very high quality product, leaves little residue and smells very clean. My quests rave about the soap and I have to tell them where to get it. It may be twice the price of a regular sized bar of soap but each bar lasts twice as long. It is a hand full so I suggest you don't drop it on your toes.
A physician once recommended using Dove for my late partner due to effects from chemo etc. We used it for many years and it has made a difference in the smoothness and hydration of our skin. I love Ivory. I have always loved Ivory. It is one of the few commercial brand soaps I can actually use. It doesn't dry out my skin. It doesn't have a nauseating smell. It is very affordable. The formula doesn't change all the time. The only soap better than Ivory for my skin is the expensive handmade cold-press soaps. I even use unopened bars when I pack away the winter clothes to keep everything smelling fresh.
