Lemongrass 100% Pure & Natural Aromatherapy Herbal Soap- 4 oz (113g)

Good soap formulation, real lemongrass smell -I only wish it was more of a rectangle bar shape, because it would be easier to hold. Plus these flat soaps seem to dissolve pretty quickly. But it's the best smelling lemongrass soap I've found on Amazon, so I'll buy again.

I can't say enough positive things about Plantlife soaps.

I came to natural soaps for a very specific reason--a husband whose eczema was virtually out of control. For years, we'd tried keeping him on soaps designed for sensitive skin. While this would generally calm flare-ups slightly, it wouldn't prevent them from creeping up again. Admittedly, since beginning to use Plantlife's soaps, my husband is NOT eczema free... BUT his skin is drastically improved and his flare-ups are down to about 10% of what they once were.

The scents of Plantlife's soaps are remarkably pleasant too. I've yet to find one that is offensive to my nose--they're delicately done, not over-powering or too "perfume-y."

So if you're thinking of switching to herbal soaps to treat your skin to the best, most natural clean possible--try some Plantlife soaps. If you're simply looking for some aromatherapy or some way to mix-up your usual soap routine--try some Plantlife soaps. This is a very moisturizing soap. Also, you can see the all natural ingredients including the strands of lemongrass. I highly recommend this soap as it's all natural. This may dry out your skin if you have dry skin, but, it's really good for acne.

I haven't received my soap yet, because I just ordered it. But I have actually used these soaps for years and it's difficult to express just how good these soaps are. They clean and .."polish" your skin. Sounds nuts, I know, but after a couple of days, you definitely start to see a "glow", of sorts. I have used Dove soap my whole life, and only tried this because a friend gave me a bar. And from that time on, I was hooked.

I have only bought these at Whole Foods Market, and I can say that I was happy enough spending $5.99 per bar (the bars are HUGE blocks, so one block, equals two of regular soap.) But, at Amazon, they are substantially less. So, it's great soap for less money than you would pay in stores.

Another hit for Amazon.com I hardly shop anywhere else these days! :)

The product it self is great BUT I purchased bars of soap advertised as being 8.8 oz., in fact they were only 8.0 oz., that's almost 10% less !!! My previous order for the same "original product were as advertised (8.8 oz. each). What if you were shortened that amount when purchasing gas, grocery items, etc.. This really was kinda pricey for such a small bar of soap. I mean the price itself is not too bad, but the shipping cost on top of that is a bit much.

Other than that, I just used it today and it works well in that it did not irritate my skin at all and I have extremely sensitive skin and eczema. I read complaints about a smell--really? It is so minor of a smell and it does not linger at all! I am sensitive to smells already and on top of that I am pregnant. I can barely smell it at all.

Con: it left me feeling a little dry after the shower. Might be because I used a washcloth--not sure. But, I always lather on the lotion after every shower anyway.

So far so good!

Alpen Secrets Orange Mandarin Glycerin Soap, 3.67-Ounce (Pack of 4)

Hmmm, how do I review a soap. Here goes (based on the things I look for in a soap)

1. Smell Mild citrus smell, not very strong

2. Rinses Away Seems to rinse off easily without residue (we have fairly hard water though)

3. Bar lasting time Bar seems to dissolve fairly quickly compared to other glycerin soaps, but this probably attributed to its lathering characteristic.

4. Lathering This one is probably one of the better lathering glycerin soaps I've tried.

5. Cleaning Ability Haven't had any problems getting dirt, oil, or anything else off.

One last tip that I have for glycerin soap users is rather than throw the bar away when it gets too small to effectively use, just get it and a new bar nicely warmed/lathered up and stick the two together and let sit until the next day and it effectively give you the ability to use 100% of the bar with little/no waste.

This is good glycerine soap with all of the benefits of glycerine soapit doesn't try your skin, doesn't leave a residue on your skin, all of that.

The downside is the smell of it. Men will understand this reference, women probably not so much. Do you know what a urinal puck is? The little chemical puck in urinals that deodorizes public restrooms? You know how that smells? Sharp, acrid, fake citrus smell? This soap smells exactly like that. This soap is a "made in China" product, they must also make urinal pucks, or at least, buy the scent used from the same place. "Orange mandarin" is a pretty big stretch.

I tried to order the citrus scented soap from Amazon, same brand as this one, but it was out of stock, I took a gamble on this orange scented onethat was a mistake. It was cheap so I don't feel too bad about pitching it, but pitch it I will. Life's too short to smell urinal puck in the shower each morning. Having to smell it at highway rest stops once in a while is enough, thank you.

I was disappointed in this product because I was looking for a 100% Glycerin Soap. I did not care for the smell. It needed to have a stronger citrus scent. I did not care for the way it made my skin feel. It was more of a "soap" feel than a "Glycerin Soap" feel. Very little Glycerin in the product.

About me and my skin, I am 32, still suffer occasional acne breakouts though nowhere near as badly as I did in my teens and twenties. I have been using this bar as a facial cleanser for a few weeks. I use it twice a day, morning and evening. While slightly drying, it makes my skin tone much more even and consistent. I have also seen fewer pimples since beginning the use of this product. After cleansing, my skin feels clean, with no residue, and tight, though not uncomfortably so. I follow it immediately with toner and moisturizer as mentioned above, which also keeps my skin from becoming too dry.

Upon receiving this product, I immediately cut it into thirds, since my experience with bar soaps is that they tend to melt quickly and waste the soap. I also use a soap saver to keep it from sitting in water in my shower or on my sink. With these precautions already taken, I have been pleasantly surprised that I have not had much soap loss. I think my next bar I will cut in half, simply because the bar is large and might be awkward in hand, but cutting it into thirds seems excessive.

Altogether, I like this soap very much, I saw a noticeable improvement in the tone and clarity of my complexion in as little as 2 days of use. Continued use of this product has not left my skin overly dry or irritated like other cleansers I have used before. It has a light, pleasant fragrance, also a plus since I do not like highly scented products on my face. I do plan to purchase again!

Safeguard is the only true antibacterial soap. I have been using it most of my life. I love Luxury soaps, but always keep safegurad on hand and use it almost every day.

Joyful Bath Citrus Buzz Refreshing Bath Soap, Pink Grapefruit, 5.3 Ounce

I found these products through Drugstore.com several years ago and I'm so happy to see them here on Amazon now. All of the soaps in this line lather well and have a remarkable natural scent nothing smells artificial/fake.

The Citrus Buzz is surprisingly mild. I expected a much stronger scent like the Green Tea but this is probably the mildest of the Joyful Bath line. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't smile like floor cleaner as most fakey lemon citrus smelling soaps tend to do. Instead, there is a very pleasant sweet grapefruit/lemony smell.

There's no soapy film afterwards and it leaves you feeling clean.

Vermont Soap Organics - Unscented Liquid Aloe Castile Soap Gallon

We ordered this soap because my wife gets smell triggered migraines. While this soap is unscented (which must mean they did not add artificial scents to the product) it is not scentless. It still has a soapy / oatmeal smell. However, the smell is not overbearing, fades fast, and is not stuck to you all day. My wife uses this soap and it does not trigger her migraines. As soap, it works well except on very heavy grease from bikes or engines. One difference for those that have used other brands of liquid hand soap is that this Vermont Soap is less viscous (more watery), but still works well in pump dispensers.

So far I've only reviewed a few products out of many hundreds I've bought here. As I was sending a link for this soap to a friend, I saw it had only one review, and that was four stars. This is the best castille soap i've found. Highly rated for its lack of bad chemicals, yet it foams pretty well and feels good.

I love this soap, I have used it for everything in my home from washing dishes to washing baby. I don't buy shampoo either I use this and mix in some glycerin. Using this soap from day one my child has never had any dry skin or rash problems. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Even Dr. Bronner has cancer causing ingredients. Look at the Skin Deep website. There is not a single bad ingredient in this soap. Well worth the price. I saw a review that said the soap is too thin. I did find that to be the case but what I did was put it in a foaming bottle and it works perfect (A trick it to water it down a bit in the foamer and save on soap).

This soap is almost the consistency of water. So, when you try to put some in your hands in the shower, half of it spills. You end up wasting half of the product before it even gets on your body. Other than that, it seems like a decent soap. It leaves your skin feeling fresh. There is very little smell. I added one ounce of Grapefruit essential oil to it for my own customized smell. Anyway, I won't be buying it again. It's just too thin.

I've been using this soap for some times now as a hand soap. I just recently began using it for a body soap and shampoo.

I highly recommend getting a FOAMING BOTTLE. This soap works great with foaming bottles, even at 1/2 dilution!!!!

As for a body soap: I don't swim much, but after a visit to the local swimming pool, my skin would become dry and itchy from the chlorine. That stopped after I started using this soap as a body wash after a dip.

I also have psoriasis at the base of my scalp. Regular psoriasis soap with the acid bothers my wife. I started using the JustNatural Psoriasis shampoo with some result. But the combination of JustNatural Psoriasis shampoo with a post rinse of the Vermont Soap really improved my scalp condition. The psoriasis hasn't completely gone away, but it is in control and is shrinking. I'll see if it goes away after a few seasons worth of use.

My wife uses this as a body wash now and is getting good results also. She now don't have to use as much body lotion to keep her skin from drying.

I have been using these soaps since I was a young girl when my grandmother would bring them back to me from Europe. In my 20's, I was able to find them in the city I lived in. Now I have to order them, which is fine, as long as I can keep getting them!! These soaps are so fragranced that I do not wear perfume after showering with them my husband looooves the way they smell on me. And I'm not sure, but I think the company uses essential oil to fragrance the soaps. I have many "smell sensitivities" and this soap does not give me problems, which makes me think they use a very pure form of fragrance. I couldn't recommend them more. Actually, all the soaps I've used from Roger et Gallet are lovely this one just happens to be my husband's favorite.

I received this soap believing it would have a nice, strong citrus Blood Orange scent. Was disappointed it doesn't.

Seller offered to send me a new one saying it should have a stronger scent, but they were out of them, and that I got one that was defective? Still have not received replacement.

In the era where we have the capacity to add good, strong fragrance to product, was surprised this didn't and that it wasn't even very citrus...I know blood orange and this isn't.

I wasn't sure what to expect since I'd never had this soap before but it exceeded my expectations both scent-wise and how well it lathers, leaves my skin soft and smooth. Will definitely try other soaps etc from this seller.
