Great soap, I've been using it and my dermatologist did not find any traces of demodex. I think the soap took care of that! Now I use it twice a day as a facial wash.

I have tried every facial cleanser on the market for the last five years--I was exhausted trying to find a cleanser that my skin would not react to. This has been nearly impossible my entire life. I did not want to spend this much money on a bar of soap but again, I took a chance. I have been using this high dollar bar of soap for several days and finally, I am not feeling anxiety about washing my face in the morning. This seems to be working for my rosacea and horribly sensitive skin. I almost can not believe it. The worst thing I can say about this facial soap so far is that it may be a little drying. Otherwise, I do not see pimples or cysts or allergic reacations--so far...I am crossing my fingers.

This soap didn't help my face at all. It dried my skin even more and the redness got worse. I have had much better success with Zenmed products than anything else for Rosacia.

Chang Sheng Herbal soap is a "God-send." I've been using it for a little over a month and I'm very pleased with the results. Before using Chang Sheng soap, I experienced a reddish discoloration on both sides of my nose and above my eyebrows. The skin of my eyebrows was not only red, but flaky and scaly. What was really scary was when my eyebrows began falling out little by little each day. I was in a real panic. I really like this soap. It has a lovely warm fragrance and is really moisturizing. I used to alternate between this and the Honeysuckle Citrus All Natural Bar, which I liked for the exfoliation. I would not, however, pay $15 for it. I used to be able to get it at my local Publix for about $3 a bar. I wish I'd stocked up because since moving to Missouri, I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

I have had acne/ post acne scars (PIH) for so long I can't even remember myself without it. I am African-American but my complexion is very fair and so everything shows. It's like pimples and scars on parade. I know you may hear it all the time but I have tried it all. I have done micro-dermabrasions, clinical dermabrasion with medical intervention, skin peels, hydroquinone, birth control pills, proactive, neutrogena, noxema, retinol A and even combining a couple of these treatments. A few work but very slowly and trust me, after a while these all get really expensive.

When I saw all the reviews on this product, I figure how much damage can it do. Plus it was cheaper than my other attempts so I gave it a try. It has cleared most of my scarring and it has only been three weeks. I am just ecstatic!! I have been receiving compliments about my skin from everyone. It is amazing, I can't walk by a mirror without wanting to look at my face. Now I can go without painting my face with tons of concealer and foundation.

Overall this was a good buy and shipment was fast. My one pointer is to get a good moisturizermaybe one with some sunscreenbecause it has a drying effect to your skin. That was the only glitch. Everything else was wonderful.

I used this soap when I discovered that I had an intense farmer's tan...like...terrible. Forearms a nice brown like chocolate, but biceps (if you could even call them that...ahem...) a nice yellow...two nice skin tones clashed together to make one ugly complexion. I bought this soap hoping to even myself out. After the first use, I noticed the water had turned gray as I was rinsing off (gross I know), which told me that it helped to strip off a bunch of dead skin. I'm a guy and tend not to think about sunscreen, exfoliation, moisturizing, etc. I'm naturally a yellowy color (I'm half Caucasian), but thanks to my Filipino genes, I can get pretty dark. So I think that this soap works mainly for people who are naturally lighter, but have darkened due to sun damage, dead skin build up, etc. An easy way to tell is to look in a place where literally, "the sun don't shine." Take a look at your scalp under your hair, and that'll give you a ballpark estimate of what color you are. This soap probably won't get you back to that color, but it'll lighten you up.

I personally noticed an overall brighter complexion after a week, but not necessarily a skin color change. My skin color started getting lighter once fall started and I wasn't outside as much. I usually can hold a tan through the winter, but with this soap, that's not true anymore since it exfoliates off the skin that has been tanned. I have been using this soap since August 2010, and it's now February 2011, and I am so light compared to the color that I usually am. This soap is more of an exfoliating soap, so in order to actually lighten, you'll need to keep a sunscreen on your skin to shield the sun from making your melanocytes too active (of course this isn't going to decrease the melanin production naturally present as hydroquinone would, but that's a different review!). Give it around 4-6 weeks to see a difference, because that's how long it takes for your skin to be completely regenerated.

I should also mention that you'll need a good moisturizer for this soap cuz if you don't use one, you'll dry out like a prune. This worked for my acne too. Thank God...those drug store acne kits just seemed to make me more oily.

this product is the first skin care lightening soap that I have used that lived up to my expectations. I have tried them all from deep depilatories, makari skin care products, you name it. I started buying these in Philly & then yrs later when I was living out in Oakland. They are really good. I tend to like the scent, & the initial price, plus there's hardly any animal fat used in the manufacturing of them. Also, as much as I'm fast becoming a bit of an environmentalist the strictly paper packaging only isn't too bad either as opposed to thick wax paper & plastic. When I get a fireplace or woodstove, the wrapper makes great kindling too.

I just think that the shipping & handling is a bit much. I worked in a mailroom before. It does not take nearly 5 dollars to ship out 2 bars of soap at the standard rate. Sounds like a certain seller is pocketing a little bit more if you ask me. Other than that the product is fine.

The bars were very small and the scent was lacking. I would not have purchased it if I had noticed it was made in China!

I bought this soap from my local Asian grocer. I had created a homemade scrub that smelled like jasmine and wanted a soap to match. The jasmine smell of this soap is there but not very strong. I am used to using Dove, so this was kind of drying to my skin. The packaging is very pretty and "green" as it uses less paper than a boxed soap. Overall, if you are looking for some natural, old fashioned type soap and don't want any strong fancy scents, you may like this.

I thought the scent would be stronger. I love jasmine and I wanted to use these whenever I bathed. As another reviewer mentioned, these smell no different than plain soap. The paper is decorative, though, so I will keep them.

Mosturizing Soap Coconut Milk

I decided to try this soap initially because of the scent and cruelty free label on the package. First, I have to say that the scent is very warm, and coconutty which I love. Dr. Fred Summit whitening cream definately works but please be forwarned. If you want to use this product for an overall lighter complexion, use it on your entire face in conjunction with a lightening soap or lotion for the rest of your body. If you just have dark spots/hyperpigmentation, use a q-tip to apply it directly to the spots you want lightened. My problem was that the dark spots were extremely close together on one cheek and I used the product primary general area and sparingly on the rest of my face. That area was 2-3 shades lighter than the rest of my face but this eventually faded to a nice overall glow. Definately produces quicker results than Ambi so I recommend this over Ambi. I mean, when you buy a product you usually want it to work FAST. Two downsides the texture is very greasy like Vasiline consistency and in my opinion is too greasy to wear under makeup. So I use this product around the house or before bed. The 2nd downside is that the Dr. Fred Summit could be a little more discrete about the outside of jar. It proclaims "SKIN WHITENER." I travel with friends alot and would prefer not to have this written in huge red letters on the outside of the jar. I simply wiped it off with nailpolish remover but still.. All in all, great product that does what it claims.

Age: 25 y/o AA female. Light-brown complexion. Acne scars on chin and forehead and cheeks. This is a great product, however, you will not know that until a full 4-weeks of using it. I say that because every 7-days that pass, your skin will do something dramatic and a bit scary...beast before beauty. The first week, just wash your face with water, don't use any soaps even if they are extra mild because it will make it more irritated after you apply it. The first week apply it on thick at night and sleep with a towel on your pillow or have an old pillowcase. Put vaseline around your eyelids so you don't get it into your eyes when you are sleeping or lounging around the house. Minor minor noticeable results in the first 3 days of week-1. But then when you rinse it off in the morning you will have a super red and possibly inflamed face. You will look like you just had an allergic reaction to something or got slapped pretty hard. The redness only hurts if you don't lubricate it. Baby vaseline is the mildest product I could find. Apply semi-thick to your face after you rinse the product off with just water. Week-2. The redness will fade, but then you will notice your skin starting to peel...and I do mean really peel. It looks like fish flakes falling off your face. It is really hard to fathom, but this is normal. As long as you keep the vaseline on when you go out, your face won't hurt as bad when it's drying up the dead flakes. I lightly peeled them off....this is a 2-day process, because no matter how much you peel it off, there's always more. But keep vaseline on while you gently rub away the flakes. Week 3, you are not flaky anymore, and the redness is not as bad, but you are kinda puffy like a blowfish. Your face feels tight when you make expressions. All normal, trust me. And remember, you are applying this product every single night, thickly, and rinsing with water in the morning, and wearing only vaseline during the day..nothing more...nothing less. Week 4, you will notice your skin is about 2 shades lighter, and the black spots and acne scars have faded away significantly. By the end of the 4th week, a sudden natural glow will appear....and this is without the vaseline. Tada! You made it. Now you can be one of those "au naturale" people that you have always envied. You know, the ones that never have to wear makeup. After my one-month trial, I got so many compliments it was ridiculous. People that have known me all my life were asking me if I had on makeup because my skin was so perfectly even and toned. It was soft and supple like a baby. No acne, no scars, no redness, no lotions. I have used this product for almost 20 yrs now. It really works great. I was reading some of the reviews and read how it made some customers skin darker. I thought to my self that weird because the directions tell you not to go in the direct sun because direct sunlight can cause the reverse where you skin will be darker. I usually throw the directions away, I don't need them because I have used the product for a great deal of time now and know exactly what and what not to do. This time I decided to take a peak at the directions an I noticed that it no longer tells you to not wear product in direct sunlight. It no longer states that if you wear it in sunlight that it can have the reverse effect( cause your skin to be darker). I wonder why... maybe that is why so many people are not having positive effects with it. I wonder why did they change it? This product really does work great!

Thymes Kimono Rose Triple Milled Soap Large Bar 7 oz

Don't get me wrong...it smells nice. It smells like rose soap. But it doesn't smell like kimono rose. Everytime I got in the shower the smell reminded me of my grandmother...which I'm allowed to say since I am a grandmother now. I tossed the soap away after a few days of NOT enjoying it.

I accidently ordered this instead of the Tabac scent, as it took a long time to ship I figured I'd just try this scent. It's a nice manly scent, though somewhat strong. It's by no means perfume like or floral. The soap itself is quite good, leaves my skin not too dried out and the bars actually seem to last a while longer than most of the everyday kind of soaps I usually get i.e. dial, irish spring etc. Just beware that sometimes this product ships from Greece and can take a while to get, Mine took about 3 weeks.

This soap has a nice strong fragrance which I find to be a little overpowering. I much prefer a lighter Sandalwood fragrance. Other than that this is pretty good soap made with vegetable oil. Don't think I will buy anymore though.
