Heritage Products Pine Soap Bar
I've been using Pine Tar soap for over 30 years. Anyone who tells you they like the scent -well, just consider them "different" -but to each his own.I write this review so that you will buy Pine Tar soap for the right reasons and not be disappointed when you find out the fragrance is less than pleasant.
I use Pine Tar soap because I have extremely oily skin and I've never found anything as good (except Noevir, which was *exceptional* but cost more than $5 an ounce).
Pine Tar soap has value for skin irritations but that has never been one of my needs.
I've only used Packer's and Grandpa's. I found Packer's a little superior but also more expensive.

Nubian Heritage Goat's Milk & Chai Bar Soap
I bought this soap three days ago and I already feel a difference in my skin. My skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized. The natural ingredients did not irritate my skin( I even used it on my face and I have extremely sensitive skin) and left a light, pleasant smell. I don't know how this will work in the long run but so far, so good!

I had to amend my review from three stars to five because after using it up--both my husband and I love it and I am buying more! I have never had soap that takes makeup off sooo well--even waterproof mascara. It does not sting! We also notice that our skin is soft and I have not had to use lotion! I really, really like this soap. I notice that the name is different now, so I hope the soap has not changed in anyway.

This soap is amazing. I give it five stars for the following reasons:1) First, the smell -If strong scents easily overwhelm you, this bar is one to try. It has a subtle sweet smell. I look ridiculous smelling my bar of soap but it just smells delightful.
2) When other soaps fail to treat your skin issues, Nubian Heritage does not -Most people try this soap because of skin issues, including skin sensitivity issues. I am very sensitive to most cleansing products; my face becomes a dry, itching mess quite easily. I also still contend with pimples. This soap helps control my acne without turning my face into a dry, red mess.
3) Your skin was soft once and will be again -This soap has phenomenal moisturizing properties. It feels great on your skin. I don't have to apply baby oil or moisturizing body lotion because this soap does it all. If your hair becomes dry during particular periods of the year, try washing your hair with this bar rather than using hot oils or protein soaks.
4) Ingredients you can pronounce -I don't want dyes or heavy chemicals in anything I use but especially on my face. This soap has a straightforward ingredient list.
This product is vegan in nature with no animal based products. It is not tested on animals and is made in the United States.

I actually bought this soap from a local store since I didn't want to wait and pay shipping. Same brand though, love Nubian Heritage products. This soap is divine. I also use the black soap which is drying so I use the coconut papaya one after I rince off the black soap because it seems to conditions the skin and my skin is less dry. Using the two together has been wonderful. I have 20 year old stretch marks from childbirth that are fading! Anything that can do that is a winner in my book. I thought I would be stuck with those for life and never really tried to do away with them since I thought it was a lost cause. Then I started using these products and I swear in two weeks I started to notice that those stretch marks were fading and some disappeared all together. I told my boyfriend and he said it was placebo effect but then he started to really notice dark spots fading and completely disappearing as well and now he is using the soap too which means now I have to buy more since it is going quite fast. Also got my teen and 22 year old to start using it. Now my bathroom smells like a tropical paradise every time I bathe and now showering is no longer a chore but I actually look forward to the process. And my skin is smooth like a baby. This soap is a little more expensive than your average chemical filled soap but it's worth it.
Clinique Facial Soap with Dish - Mild Facial Soaps
My RA gave me a little chunk of this stuff my first year in undergrad. That was thirty years ago. I can't remember the problem I was having; I've always had problems with dry skin, but in college I got my very first bout of acne, and it may have been at that time I started using Clinique Facial Soap. I actually couldn't afford to use it again until four years later when I was working full time, but bought a big bar at Crossroads Mall in Kalamazoo sometime in the fall of 1985 and never looked back. A couple of years later I broke out again in one area of my face; the woman at the Clinique counter in Hudson's (now part of Macy's)prescribed their facial scrub cleaner and once I added that to my classic 3 step regimen (with the mild soap and #2 clarifyer)I've been able to keep a complexion to be proud of throughout my forties. (There are a gazillion other things about me that I'd like to trade in, but this isn't one of them). Since skin problems like acne and facial eczema run in my family, and I'm the only one of my sisters to have been doing this regularly, I have to think the Clinique definitely helps in that regard.This pertains to the Mild soap, for "mixed skin types" (oily in areas, dry in others). I mistakenly bought the extra mild once and it was definitely less effective!

The first time I used this soap was in my teens when my mother gave me a sample. My skin was looking pretty bad at that point. Within days of using it, my acne was fading fast. I continued to use it until my early 20's. By that time my skin was pretty clear and I didn't think much about cleansers. But, when I hit 30 my skin went crazy. I was constantly breaking out. I bought this shampoo because my daughter used it and she recommended it to me. I like it too. However, on the long use the hair becomes more oily. It may be a good thing because it is not dried out as with the use of some regular shampoo, but it was not very good for me. What I am doing now is that I wash my hair with this bar soap shampoo first and then I use a regular shampoo and rinse the hair. In this case the hair is not so oily and not dried out. At first this beauty bar has a very strong fragrance. After about a week that dissipated and I love how creamy this soap is. Makes my skin feel oh so good!

Caswell-Massey Sandalwood Woodgrain Soap
I am a woman and I love using this soap. It smells great. It smells warm and spicy, not flowery. The soap is harder than many cheaper kinds of soap. I make my own soap which is much better than most commercial soaps, but this soap is even better than my handmade soaps. The only negative thing I can think of about this soap (the woodgrain bar) is that it will permanently stain light-colored or white washcloths. I never liked sandalwood scented products until I bought this soap, but I LOVE this one. The rest of the C-M sandalwood line is also wonderful, especially the lotion and the talc.
This is the larger size which is referred to as the bath soap. It is darker and has a wood grain appearance. The bath bars are larger and weigh 5.8 oz. They also carry a smaller size hand soap. It is light tan and comes in the 3.25 oz (92 g) size. I have used the hand soap as bath soap and cannot tell the difference--the scent and soap quality is the same.

Caswell-Massey is my new source for bathroom products from shower and shave to lotion and cologne. The sandalwood soap smells wonderful without being overpowering or girly. These large bars last me close to 4 weeks with daily showering and do not melt away like drug store soap bars do. I find it a better and cheaper alternative.I alternate with the newport depending on my mood and follow with the shampoo, shave soap, shave oil, body lotion, and cologne for an all over, masculine, yet subdued fragrance that I enjoy without imposing on others. It leaves my bathroom smelling manly after a shower & shave without "perfuming" the bathroom permanently.
I get complements from my kids when they hug me or snuggle up that I, "smell good." I remember how my dad smelled when I was a kid and take pride in passing on those staple childhood memories to my children.

Canus Goat's Milk Bar Soap, 3-Count Boxes (Pack of 4)
I was introduced to Canus Goat Milk Bar Soap by buying it in a specialty shop in a resort town for $3.99 a bar. I went home,I used it and loved it! (I live in Arizona where the humidity is very low and everyone has dry skin.) I was willing to pay the price because of how my skin felt and more importantly how my husband's skin responded. We have been married for 12 years and all this time his skin has been rough, red and irritated no matter what lotions or soaps he used. We noticed a difference in a few days but after a few weeks, the irritation began to ease and now his skin is cleared up, smooth and...well, normal! I'd be willing to pay almost anything for these results, but with this deal, the 5 oz bar is less than $1.50 a bar. I'm sold, and continue to try other Canus products. So far, I'm happy with them all, especially the Butter. I have sent samples to all my family who have sensitive, irritated skin and we'll see how they respond, but if they have half the improvement that my husband and I have, I know they will be fans like we are. We love goat milk!

I was very happy to come across the Canus Goat's Milk products and have tried them all. The hand soap is so mild that a woman can use it on her face and not dry her skin out. Along with this product by Canus they have many other wonderful products and my favorite is the Body Butter. I sent a collection of products to my parents in Wisconsin and they have enjoyed all the them. My father has had skin problems for most of his life and he uses the moisturizing lotion over his entire body. This is a wonderful soap. It is very moisturizing (I hardly ever use moisturizer when I get out of the shower) and it smells so fresh and clean! I am often complimented on how good I smell I now buy it as gifts for people! It is very reasonably priced! I actually love all the Canus products I have tried I'd write a smashing review on all of them but I have twin two year olds and don't have time!!!

I have to say he really seems to like it. I've used it several times as well, and it rinses off well while still leaving your skin feeling moisturized. I am a beauty product junkie. I wanted to start using just good old bar soap as it is better for the environment, takes up less space in the shower, etc., but I figured that no bar soap would be as creamy and lather as well as liquid body wash.Boy was I wrong-I have been using Zents Water Soap and it is the creamiest, best soap and lather I have EVER had-and I've used luxury body wash, products from bath and body, etc., and store brands. This stuff is wonderful. I am mad I didn't use it sooner-it was a gift from a friend (because who would buy themsevles $10 soap??) and has been sitting in my linen closet for the past year. So, I finally started using it. The fragrance is wonderful-not too overwhelming, could be good for a guy or a girl but is probaby on the guy side. Plus, since it is a bar soap (and a big bar at that), I know it will last for a LONG time.

Australian made French milled Tea Tree natural soap
Love the scent, but it's very much geared either for a man or when I'm in a funk and can't wake up? It's a wake up scent, like sniff and your eyes pop open it's that nice. My husband or son will be happy with this. With the tea tree properties I believe it will help with a certain someone's over active oil glands just a bit. Excellent.

I found these products through Drugstore.com several years ago and I'm so happy to see them here on Amazon now. All of the soaps in this line lather well and have a remarkable natural scent nothing smells artificial/fake.The Citrus Buzz is surprisingly mild. I expected a much stronger scent like the Green Tea but this is probably the mildest of the Joyful Bath line. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't smile like floor cleaner as most fakey lemon citrus smelling soaps tend to do. Instead, there is a very pleasant sweet grapefruit/lemony smell.
There's no soapy film afterwards and it leaves you feeling clean.

I was sent a small sliver as a sample from another website that also carried this line of soaps. The sample was about a half ounce, if that. But I have it on the kitchen sink, and oh, my, I am in love. I have been trying out various soaps, french, imported, goat milk, rice milk, olive oil, etc. to explore the world of soaps. I have been knocked off my feet, though, with this little sliver of grapefruit soap by Indigo Wild (Zum). It lathers like nothing I've seen, feels so soft in the hands, and leaves a fresh grapefruit (almost flowery) smell on the hands. I don't know if grapefruit flower essence is in it too, but the smell lingers for a few hours. Your skin is left so soft, it is unbelievable. I cannot imagine a soap that could beat this one. I currently have enough other soaps to wash an army, so hesitate to order these right now. But I am fighting with myself, each time I reach for my little sliver of grapefruit Zum soap, as the others pale in comparison, in my opinion. I am keeping it dry, and it is lasting a long time.

I've been using this soap for a couple years and just bought the 48-bar case so I'll be all set if they stop selling it. I love that it's all natural AND works well. A surprising bonus is that I can use it to shampoo my hair. I love Nourish brand products and was excited to see that they recently rebranded and launched a whole new USDA-certified organic product line. The products are exceptional, the packaging is beautiful, the fragrances divine (yet light and not overpowering), and very reasonably priced!
