Octagon All Purpose Laundry Bar Soap by Colgate - 7 Oz

I just saw this soap about a month or so ago at the grocery store and thought I'd try it. I keep it in the kitchen by the sink. It has been so handy. I shave off bits to do the dishes. I wash up with it, even after gardening, and it is wonderful. It also keeps two young active boys clean and that is enough of an endorsement! I have used it to pre-treat laundry, wash counters, scrub pans. I could go on and on (and have) but this soap is just great to have around. I am glad I was curious. I have read it treats acne too!

When I was a kid my Mamaw sent Papaw to the store to buy a bar of Octagon Soap after I had been out in the woods on their farm all day. She told me to wash any parts that were exposed while I was in the woods and I wouldn't break out in poison ivy, which happened to me every time. Sure enough she was right. The juice from poison ivy adheres to your skin really well and this soap will wash it right off and usually prevent a rash if you don't wait too long to use it (no more than a few hours).

This stuff is an all around good product. With many uses. Anything that you could come up with it will work on. You can use it to clean household things, wash dishes, or even treat your acne ridden skin. Its a great product. I remember as a child at my grannies house using this soap to bathe with every night after being out side all day and playing. Its a great product give it a try it won't cost you much, And it almost lasts a lifetime. I have had mine for some time now and only gone through about 1 inch worth of it. You just slice a sliver off and keep going.

I think the soap works wonderfully. I use it to get stains out of clothing, especially ring around the collar; I love the feeling of being squeaky clean, so I even shower with it. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the price. $10 for this soap is a rip-off. I was so excited that I found it on Amazon first, that I immediately assumed that this was the best price. However, after doing a little research. This soap can be found as low as .99 cents. 1000% mark up is a little absurd.

This was a Mother's Day gift for mom. She used to be a big fan of the smell-good hand soaps from Bath & Body Works, but then realized she was having a severe allergic reaction to them. I have since discovered I am allergic to any product containing SLS (sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate). I originally researched these products for myself, but am still in the process of using up the products I have. However, I decided to purchase these for my mom to try, since it seems she may be allergic to SLS products too, and Kiss My Face is free of sulfates! I wasn't sure if she was a fan of lavender, but she said she really likes it. She likes the way it makes her skin feel and she said that she does like the smell. I bought the creamy face wash for her too, and she really likes it. She's been researching the Kiss My Face line too, and has found other things she wants to try. That's always a really good sign! We received a gift box of Super Mild products. The soap was a great scent for every person. What we discovered is, it calms down my husband's psoriasis to a far less embarrassing appearance. When he stops using it, the psoriasis becomes more pronounced. All I can say about it is, try it, and it is affordable. We wish it were more readily available in stores.

This has quickly become the only body soap I use. It is mild, lathery and has a very pleasant citrus fragrance. It lasts for ever, too... I buy one bottle or refill that lasts about 3-4 months. Lastly, it does not dry out my skin like some other soaps.

Overall, completely happy with this product and will buy again (and again).

This is a terrific product, so I purchased a 6-pack of the soap bars to use as gifts to friends. The bars come individually packaged in light cardboard boxes. Imagine my disgust when I opened the outer box & discovered the packager had TAPED the six boxes together, making it virtually impossible for me to extract the individual bars without destroying the boxes they were in. So much for being able to give them away individually as gifts, without repackaging them myself in some other container. C'mon, folks can we THINK a little bit when sending out these orders??!

This is not only a wonderful herbal soap, but an amazing history lesson and a perfect way to teach young and old about the miracle of Christmas. It brings the gifts of the Magi from Jesus into the modern age. I was amazed that I could obtain a large quality bar soap that contains both frankincense and myrrh, as well as other skin and health-enhancing botanicals (like shea butter, ginger and black pepper). And it is also affordable. The shipping cost is a bit steep, but since it is a once-in-a-year holiday purchase, it was worth it to splurge a bit. My only criticism is that the fragrance is on the strong side. But this is probably more than acceptable for most men on your gift list, like my two brothers, who enjoyed it. It would also be a nice "show and tell" item for any church / Sunday or bible school -as an outreach to kids. I'm really glad I discovered this Nubian Heritage company, which looks like a true class act. It looks like they have an amazing number of herbal bar soaps with the very best natural herbal ingredients. In the future I will definitely be purchasing from them again. So I suggest that you give them a try -and try lavishing them on your own Nubian princess!

200g 10% Sulfur Soap

Ok so this soap has what it takes to make a difference in your skin; you will be convinced next days following. And with 20g of sulfur in this particular bar of soap, the yellow color can only be expected. There is plenty of it in there that it is as gritty as baking soda, so yes... it does exfoliate the skin as you rub it all over. Using it daily will kill (so far) and put to rest all types of skin problems! This really is a great product!

Now the not so good part; you will smell like sulfur... If I can smell it, others can too. I prefer to go ahead and deal with it until it has served its purpose. Also, it might help to put msm lotion over the skin to hide the smell and let it continue with the sulfur activity. I use MSM soap and shampoo from "At Last Naturals" and "Ultra Aesthetics" and have exclusively for years.... I am picky about everything and so this lives up to my expectations.... All in all this bar says "Welcome to the power of sulfur!"

Great soap exfoliating and gets rid of any greasiness off your skin. Refreshing feeling after showering or bathing. Smell isn't up too much but 'by eck' it does the job nicely.

Soap Glycerine Vitamin-E 4 Ounces

Only used one bar so far.

Did not last as long as I remember Glycerine soaps lasting, but at least the same or a little longer than regular soaps.

I was down to the end of a Nuetrogena bar and compressed them together.

The next few mornings the Nuetrogena bar always had slushing, where the Clearly Natural was always dry and slush free.

The soap dish will stay real nice and clean with this soap because of the lack of this slushing effect.

Too early to tell if it will help my dry winter skin.

It lathers perfectly.

I use it for shaving also, and my face and neck have had noticably less shaving rash.

The bottom line on anything (from dog food to the camera you buy) though is to look at the ingredients and or parts:

Clearly Natural uses a high concentration of expensive glycerine (2 1/2 times that of Nuetrogena for 1/3 the price) and no negative nasties like animal tallowate that are in most soaps.

Many glycerine soaps melt away, this one really does last. Glycerine soap tends to rinse clean and is nice and soft on the skin. I know a lot of guys who prefer this soap over many other kinds. The vitamin e seems to keep the skin softer than most soaps.

My skin is extremely allergic and this vitamin E soap was recommended to me years ago. I started washing my face with it at least 2x a day. I heard how good seaweed was in breaking up toxins in your skin, so after reading the great reviews, I decided to bite the bullet and try it. I also use it with the Slimulator tool from Bliss. The soap has a grainy texture which can be painful on sensitive parts, but it also is great for exfoliating. The smell is not the greatest, but it washes away quickly and leaves your skin sooooo soft! I honestly can see a huge reduction in my cellulite. I'm going to start using this on my face to see if it helps with red marks. Once this bar that I'm using runs out, I'm buying the multi pack!
