Alpen Secrets Orange Mandarin Glycerin Soap, 3.67-Ounce (Pack of 4)
Hmmm, how do I review a soap. Here goes (based on the things I look for in a soap)1. Smell Mild citrus smell, not very strong
2. Rinses Away Seems to rinse off easily without residue (we have fairly hard water though)
3. Bar lasting time Bar seems to dissolve fairly quickly compared to other glycerin soaps, but this probably attributed to its lathering characteristic.
4. Lathering This one is probably one of the better lathering glycerin soaps I've tried.
5. Cleaning Ability Haven't had any problems getting dirt, oil, or anything else off.
One last tip that I have for glycerin soap users is rather than throw the bar away when it gets too small to effectively use, just get it and a new bar nicely warmed/lathered up and stick the two together and let sit until the next day and it effectively give you the ability to use 100% of the bar with little/no waste.
The downside is the smell of it. Men will understand this reference, women probably not so much. Do you know what a urinal puck is? The little chemical puck in urinals that deodorizes public restrooms? You know how that smells? Sharp, acrid, fake citrus smell? This soap smells exactly like that. This soap is a "made in China" product, they must also make urinal pucks, or at least, buy the scent used from the same place. "Orange mandarin" is a pretty big stretch.
I tried to order the citrus scented soap from Amazon, same brand as this one, but it was out of stock, I took a gamble on this orange scented onethat was a mistake. It was cheap so I don't feel too bad about pitching it, but pitch it I will. Life's too short to smell urinal puck in the shower each morning. Having to smell it at highway rest stops once in a while is enough, thank you.

I was disappointed in this product because I was looking for a 100% Glycerin Soap. I did not care for the smell. It needed to have a stronger citrus scent. I did not care for the way it made my skin feel. It was more of a "soap" feel than a "Glycerin Soap" feel. I loved it, excellent. These glycerin soaps are nice and have mild orange smell, perfect to use. I will order more soon.

Ok, let me start my review by saying I try all kinds of beauty stuff--some people have fetishes for shoes, clothes, makeup, collectibles, my fetish is beauty products. Luckily I don't have sensitive skin so aside from all the great oils and lotions I've tried, lately it's been soaps. I've tried the goats milk soap, brazilian oil soap, shea butter soap. . .and all in all they were pretty good. A long time ago I was my sisters for the weekend, and I used the L'Occitane milk soap. I NEVER forgot how great that soap was. Then I spotted it on Amazon and my hair stood on end! So, I immediately ordered the milk/shea butter soap. I never thought I would rave the way I'm about to, but this soap is just heavenly. It lathers like no other, it smells like no other, rinses like no other, and the topper was I felt like a baby's bottom when I stepped out of the shower. This soap is so great that the brutal truth is L'Occitane will get lots of my money. I think I just found the soap for me. What a wonderful way to start the day. . . PLEASE order this soap, you'll love it.

I purchased 3 bars of this soap because they werelabeled lightly fragranced but these bars have no
fragrance at all. I opened one bar and used it in
the shower it is very creamy but disappointing to me
because there is no smell and they cost $9.77 each. Unfortunately I have 2 bars left which I will probably donate because I threw away the invoice/packing slip.

THIS PRODUCT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING...I BOUGHT IT AS A GIFT BUT THE PACKAGING LOOKED VERY CHEAP AND THE SOAP DRIED OUT DUE TO ITS EXPOSURE TO THE AIR.....IT CERTAINLY WONT BE A GIFT AND WHETHER IT GETS USED OR NOT REMAINS UNCERTAIN. RARELY DO I FIND THIS TO BE WITH AMAZON.

I've been trying to find a particular soap that I had years ago, and this box looked like the same box. The soap has a gorgeous fragrance, but for the amount of soap, it was expensive. I noticed several other Italian soaps by this same maker that were much less expensive, so I will probably try one of those next. This soap is lovely, though, and I am enjoying it!
Nag Champa 150gms soap (RSNAGB) -
I absolutely love Nag Champa, but I'm not crazy about the soap. It smells nothing like the incense, and it dries my skin out. I'm still recovering from all the dry skin bumps.If anything, it could be used as a handsoap. It works up a great lather, and the smell will certainly stick with you.
