this soap has sort of a spongy coarse material built right in to the soap. it exfoliates. the soap is mild and is healing to my dry, overly sensitive skin. great product, plan to buy again.

I don't understand. It's a simple question. I see the reviews, I see the description, yet no where, anywhere, does it tell me how many ounces I am getting if I buy this soap? Has marketing become that good that people will simply buy the soap without knowing how much of the product they're getting? Has the price of snake oil become that clever?

Bio Claire Lightening Soap 6.7 oz.

I don't recommend this soap because after long usage it thins the skin. It does lighten really fast, in as little as 1 week but the down side is thinning of the skin and eventually tearing. It gives the appearance of stretch/burn marks due to the thinning. After visiting a dermatologist I was told that there is a possibility that the product may include something NOT listed in the ingredients that may be causing this TERRIBLE side effect, steroids. :(

The soap is less destructive than the cream but I don't recommend use of all the products at once.

Sulfo Lo Cleansing Bar Soap, Color Free, 3.5 oz (99 g)

First time purchase and it arrived timely. I've been using sulfo lo for sometime now and I love the medicated scent it doesn't bother me. My skin is oily and it dries it right up without over drying.

Shea Butter Suspension Soap Base 2 LBS Life of the Party

My sister and I have been making soap for years, and when we tried this base, we got excellent results with adding dried orange/lemon zest, ground nuts, lavender buds, oats, whole flax seeds...all of it stayed beautiful inside. Try this one or the goat's milk one...we buy equal amounts of each, and mix equal parts in our soaps. A friend's dermatologist and her aesthetician both asked her what she was using, because her skin was looking so great. I believe it's definitely from the base, but the healthy things we add...lots of essential oils, all of the healing elements listed above...it's great stuff.

Pass on the glycerine unless you are using something like soap-grade glitter, which suspends beautifully. Makes great soaps for kids! Other things added to it, not so much.

I love this base! Its perfect if you want to add any exfoliants. I add apricot seeds and they stay perfectly suspended. Note, that the basic glycerin soap base by this maker does not work well with exfoliants! The olive glycerin does though, which I also love!

This soap has a really nice texture and gentle smell. It was easy to cut and melted nicely, even though it took longer to melt than the recommended time. My only issue was that it didn't even suspend the lavender buds I used. I split the soap base in half and made a batch on two separate occasions and one suspended better than the other, but still not very uniformly (a decent amount floated to the top). Perhaps this was my error, though, and not the product.

first of all i must say i bought this base from a craft store not amazon when i opened the box it was already scented with some weird floral scent so i had to use a lot of fragrance just to cover the smell second the finished product did`nt feel that great on the skin personally i think if you are going to get a quality melt and pour soap base you need to go to a supplier that specializes in that kind of product like brambleberry.com or wholesalesuppliesplus.com

I always use olive oil soap during the winter nothing works better to prevent dry skin. This soap is really nice but I'm giving it only 4 stars because it is so large as to be almost unusable. Whatever you do, don't drop it on your toe! I've gotten around the bulk problem by re-purposing an old nylon bath sponge and tying a piece of the netting around the soap. Voila! D-I-Y soap-on-a-rope.

I absolutely love this soap, it lathers up better than body wash and last a lot longer than regular soap bars( but u got to keep it in a container) It smells great and male or female can use it. It keeps your skin looking moist and after consistent use u may not have to even lotion up after use but that depends on your skin type and how harsh the water is where you live. Its also good for my sons eczema very happy with the product. Penhaligon produces a thick, creamy lather. The scent is stronger than I expected.

The wrapped soaps were described as a "SET of 3". This led me to believe that the soaps would be in a box. As the soaps were intended to be a gift, I was quite disappointed that the 3 bars came loose in their envelope.

While this was advertised as a set of 3 soaps, I ordered 3 sets, in fact all I received were nine soaps thrown into a mailing bag. Not sets at all. This was not at all what I thought I was getting.
