Shea Butter Suspension Soap Base 2 LBS Life of the Party

My sister and I have been making soap for years, and when we tried this base, we got excellent results with adding dried orange/lemon zest, ground nuts, lavender buds, oats, whole flax seeds...all of it stayed beautiful inside. Try this one or the goat's milk one...we buy equal amounts of each, and mix equal parts in our soaps. A friend's dermatologist and her aesthetician both asked her what she was using, because her skin was looking so great. I believe it's definitely from the base, but the healthy things we add...lots of essential oils, all of the healing elements listed above...it's great stuff.

Pass on the glycerine unless you are using something like soap-grade glitter, which suspends beautifully. Makes great soaps for kids! Other things added to it, not so much.

I love this base! Its perfect if you want to add any exfoliants. I add apricot seeds and they stay perfectly suspended. Note, that the basic glycerin soap base by this maker does not work well with exfoliants! The olive glycerin does though, which I also love!

I bought this and made several bars of soap. I added oatmeal and lemon grass and it suspended nicely. Very soft soap. I would order it again!!

This soap has a really nice texture and gentle smell. It was easy to cut and melted nicely, even though it took longer to melt than the recommended time. My only issue was that it didn't even suspend the lavender buds I used. I split the soap base in half and made a batch on two separate occasions and one suspended better than the other, but still not very uniformly (a decent amount floated to the top). Perhaps this was my error, though, and not the product.

first of all i must say i bought this base from a craft store not amazon when i opened the box it was already scented with some weird floral scent so i had to use a lot of fragrance just to cover the smell second the finished product did`nt feel that great on the skin personally i think if you are going to get a quality melt and pour soap base you need to go to a supplier that specializes in that kind of product like brambleberry.com or wholesalesuppliesplus.com
