One of our young son's started to school this past September and as he is a normally healthy child, it began to concern us that he kept coming home from school with a lot of coughs and colds. Then the school began sending notices home to all the parents about MRSA or superbugs that are resistant to antibiotics. We went to the school meetings and watched the TV News as they discussed more and more outbreaks of this MRSA and also Meningitis. We also took our child to his Doctor who just told us it was normal for our child to get sick when he first started to school.

So with this in mind, and 4 months with this cough not getting better my Wife began searching for other hand cleaners on the market to use with our son in school and DETTOL is the one name that kept coming on over and over again.

Dettol Soap and also the liquid has an ingredient in it that kills this MRSA Bug and other BAD bacterias in as little as 15 seconds of use with water... probably as long as your child will actually wash his hands for. Dettol leaves the good bacteria and only kills the bad bacteria so no harsh results from using this soap. This Dettol soap and liquid are top sellers in India where they usually have very clear complexions. With this soap you should have no more or less problems with skin issues as it has an antibacterial ingredient in it that protects the skin.

We have cut off a small chunk of this soap and put in a small container that fits in our child's pocket so he can take it to school and use there and we know he is now washing his hands and not so worried any longer now we have this as it kills the MRSA bug in 15 seconds with it's Chloroxylenol ingredient. We love this soap and the Antiseptic quality cant be beat! The liquid is great too for cleaning your home to using as an Antiseptic to putting small amount (less than 10 drops) into 8 oz glass of water and gargle with it to kill germs and also gets rid of coughing. DO NOT SWALLOW only rinse and spit out! Follow with water rinse thoroughly and you are set.

In the USA we usually depend on Antibacterial ingredient Triclosan but it has been found to harm our Eco system and has developed resistant baterial strains with use making it less effective than DETTOl.

I bought this soap for my boyfriend because he has had a couple bouts with MRSA, and this seemed like a better soap to use when it comes to preventing MRSA and other skin problems/germs. Since the pack came with 3, I kept one for myself. I read Dettol was good for acne so I figured I would give it a shot. I have a stubborn spot on my cheek that doesn't want to stay away. I've tried masques, various cleansers, but nothing ever solved the problem. However, I have been using this soap on my face twice daily, and I'm amazed. My acne is clearing up so quickly, unlike it does with my current face wash. It's not completely gone yet, but the reduction of acne I have experienced is phenomenal. It's only been one week so far, so I hope the progress continues. If it does, I'm going to continue buying this soap because I absolutely love it!

The formula of Dettol bar soap varies with country of manufacture. The country of manufacture should therefore be indicated in the Amazon product description.

The Dettol soap I bought from Amazon is a horrible product. It has a potent chemical odor, is brown, hard, and does not form lather. It bears no resemblance (other than the label) to the product I am accustomed to, which is made in Indonesia: this is a soft, emollient, light yellow soap with a gentle fragrance. The soap purchased from Amazon is made in India.

The Dettol soaps manufactured in Indonesia and Dubai are excellent products and I recommend them highly; particularly to prevent skin infection, and for sensitive or difficult skin.

This really was kinda pricey for such a small bar of soap. I mean the price itself is not too bad, but the shipping cost on top of that is a bit much.

Other than that, I just used it today and it works well in that it did not irritate my skin at all and I have extremely sensitive skin and eczema. I read complaints about a smell--really? It is so minor of a smell and it does not linger at all! I am sensitive to smells already and on top of that I am pregnant. I can barely smell it at all.

Con: it left me feeling a little dry after the shower. Might be because I used a washcloth--not sure. But, I always lather on the lotion after every shower anyway.

So far so good!

GRISI Neutral Soap (Pack of 6)

I use this soap to wash my face and it leaves it clean and smooth. I really do not need all those extra ingredients. A very good product.

Although this soap is listed as fragrance free and unscented, it definitely has some type of fragrance in it. That's really unfortunate since that's the reason that I bought this soap. The soap is a nice quality and finely milled, the price is right, and even though the package says that the soap is fragrance free, it definitely has some type of perfume in it. I'll use it up as hand soap, but it's not something that I would buy again.

Pure Soap

My husband and daughter have asthma and skin allergies. I had to do something because all the products I had tried were toxic and causing them to have asthma attacks. I came across this on a radio show about it being organic,ph balanced,pure,no harsh additives. So I gave it a go, 2 years later we still use it. If they ever quite selling it I would be devastated! It smells naturally amazing,like almonds. It makes our skin silky and smooth. They have extremely dry crusty skin nothing ever cured it. Since they have been using it their skin has been much better. Not as dry or chapped. You can even use it as toothpaste its totally safe. It works wonderful as a baby soap as well. I use the soap, lotion and laundry detergent. It has been such a blessing finding out that there is organic healthy cleansers that are natural and smell so good. A little goes a long way with their products. I buy in bulk it is very reasonable, Cal Ben sells in gallons which may seem expensive but is not because a gallon would last 6 months. The bars of soap last us about 4 months with all us using them. Very inexpensive because the soap is packed tight. It doesn't bloat like the toxic counterparts a walmart! Most our family is now using it. We were use to the feeling of the toxic fragrance bar soaps so it did take getting use to but after a couple of weeks we feel cleaner. When were around people that use fragrance type soaps you can smell it. Its wierd how you can't smell yourself when you bathe in fragrance and harmful chemicals, when you quit using them you can smell them on other people and it smells toxic. Auromere Bar Soap Ayurvedic Himalayan Rose

This is a small bar of soap because it is intended to be facial soap. It's comparable to the size of a bar of ivory. I've used it both on my face and my body. The weird thing is it didn't make my face break up or feel dry. Just clean. The rest of my body felt a little dry. I like the smell. It's very strong but it doesn't bother me because that's why I wanted it. There are no weird chemicals so i feel good about using it. The smell will linger but it's not cloying, it just smells clean. I am about to order the sandalwood, vanilla & lavender.

Lever 2000 Moisturizing Bar, Perfectly Fresh Original, 4-ounce Bars in 16-count Package

Once I'd been using this for awhile, I couldn't help but notice the skin on my hands was softer, and patches of dry or rough skin on my knuckles were gone, even when I hadn't used lotion on them. I like that, and I also like the nice size of the bar, and that I can get it at in quantity at a decent price. I have not tried the new Lever 2000, nor am I intending to. I'm very pleased with the original, and appreciate that the company still offers it.

LEVER 2000 ORIGINAL is a great product with a mild scent that I have used for years. Apparently it is getting hard to find. I guess it's discontinued.

Dermalogix DermaZinc Medicated Treatment Soap 3.75 oz

I purchased this product to replace ZNP Soap that I had used for years. ZNP, which isn't made anymore, seemed to control my seborrheic dermatitis very well, notwithstanding an occasional flareup. The ingredients in this product are supposed to be the same as ZNP so I thought I'd try it. So far, after about 2 months I have had more flareups than I have had time where it is totally under control. It may be coincidental but I think I'm about to give up and move on to another solution.

My husband had Tinea Versicolor, very large, discolored scales all over his back and sides of his torso. Dermatologist recommended this soap to help cure and prevent future occurence. Used it for a few weeks and only minimal improvement. He then switched to Nizerol AD, which only worked minimally as well, even with the doctor's orders of applying the shampoo directly to the skin and letting it dry before rinsing. However, on a hunch, we had him used both, the itching and irritation were gone the next day, and the discoloration was almost gone within 2-4 days. He continues to use this soap as a preventative measure and no flair ups since. Great product, but use with the shampoo and its magic! I only put 4 stars instead of 5 because it depends on whether you use it with the Nizerol AD shampoo. Thanks!

when i made my order i ordered 3 things but this was not sent to me...it was not in my paskaging and in the package there was not packing slip so I had no way to "complain"....now I am just hoping now that I have made you all aware of the problem you will fix it and send me the product.
