I've never written a product review, but I LOVE this soap. I've been buying it for years, it's the only soap I bathe with. It has a refreshing grapefruit/citrus aroma which just makes me happy. When I order, I get 3 at a time, and it lasts a long time!!
One of our young son's started to school this past September and as he is a normally healthy child, it began to concern us that he kept coming home from school with a lot of coughs and colds. Good stuff, not thte best small but I think if you are an athlete it is good to keep afew of these around. Mrsa is not nice!
I first bought Alpen Olive Oil soap while I was traveling through North Carolina off the highway at J&R. I used it while we vacationed and when I got back home, I could not find it in any local stores here in Virginia, so I checked Amazon and found it. I ordered and within a few days, my order was on my doorstep. This soap is so fragrant and creamy...and has such a fresh smell. I wouldn't say it contains a lot of olive oil, but it does moisturize well. Its also made in Canada and I've bought a lot of fine products from Canada. Hope this review was helpful.
This is my favorite soap when it's hot outside. It has a cool feeling due to the peppermint and I just feel so clean after. If you have dry or sensitive skin, beware, as this might iritate and/or dry out your skin. I have found when I use this during the colder months, my skin gets itchy, which is relieved when I use my lotion. A minor issue is the quantity of soap you get for the price. It lasts a decent amount of time IF you keep the soap in a dish.

there's nothing like taking a shower with the refreshing smell of peppermint. the soap might not last the longest, but in my opinion it's worth buying an extra bar (using 2 of these per 1 dove) for the smell and tingle that peppermint provides. Lilac is a difficult scent to reproduce. This soap was not really as fragrant as I had hoped. And the scent it had was just a bit "off". I'm sure the soap will be fine in use, but I was hoping for something that would remind me of the lilac bush I once had. This one really doesn't do that.
After being an Olivella fan for years I first tried Kappus at the recommendation of a private drugstore employee...now use it in bathrooms as the best hand soap we've ever used. It is nicely milled; does not get soft and squishy which I hate. There are a variety of available fragrances from quite feminine to almond etc that is fine for everyone and not too strong. Best of all, this soap seems to be very gentle on my hands especially in the winter. Also nicely priced for the quality.
I stumbled on this soap in an antique store in Olympia, WA. Gave it a try and have been hooked ever since. I use the Rose or Rose Petal, and both have a sloughing ingredient that is wonderful gets rid of dead skin cells gently. And it doesn't dry out your skin, like most bar soaps do. My husband likes the Sage scented bar, which has the same sloughing action, and has a more masculine smell. None of the scents are very heavy, which is nice because they don't "interfere" with any lotions or colognes you may use after bathing. Really good stuff!
I saw this soap on the Dove website and thought hmmm maybe that soap will not make my skin so itchy. Every winter I get horribly dry skin, in bed I would just itch no matter what lotion I used. And if anyone who has skin like me, it's highly irritating, well not anymore, I bought and used this soap and for the first time I did not itch like a mad man! My skin was calm and smooth, usually I get red blotchy type rashes on my forearms, and it was gone. HEAVENLY! I recommend for anyone with extremely dry skin or eczema, or psoriasis, to buy this soap.

I love this liquid soap. I had been having hand itch/rash from another soap, switched to this one: no more itch/rash issues. Leaves my hands smelling great--don't know how to describe the scent, but it's a fresh, perky scent that's not too girly or too herbally--and it doesn't make my hands feel dried out or itchy.
I ordered this because I have sensitive skin and wanted a facial soap that wouldn't sting or cause breakouts. This does the trick. It smells great and works great. If only it were a little less expensive I would have given it 5 stars.

If you are looking for a great bar of soap that lathers well, look no further! This soap is one of my favorites. My husband loves it too. Most soaps make him itchy. I ordered this along with a 32oz bottle of the tea tree variant. I mix this with the tea tree for my shampoo as well as for my Shih tzu's coat. It leaves his coat super clean but soft and smelling so good. The peppermint helps with his skin itch.
