I have always been a huge fan of natural soap and this soap is amazing! It smells great, and cleans better than most hand soaps I have bought in the past. I really recommend it.

This soap is something of a family tradition. I remember it's very pleasant smell from my childhood. Both my Canadian great-grandfather and grandfather used this soap. I rediscovered it a few years ago and it has since become a favourite.As soap goes, it's very effective. It cleans well and rinses easily, leaving no residue. Its pine fragrance is a delight, but not at all overwhelming, and it does not linger long. Try it, I think you'll like it very much.

I bought this as a gift for the holidays for someone who loves soaps.Part of the appeal of this was that the image above shows a charmingly designed box.
However the seller placed the box in a padded envelope so it arrived crunched and in poor condition.
I could not give it as a present because the box was all caved in and looked like it had been sat on.
The seller needs to not send this item in a soft padded envelope.

I have been using this bar as a facial cleanser for a few weeks. I use it twice a day, morning and evening. While slightly drying, it makes my skin tone much more even and consistent. I have also seen fewer pimples since beginning the use of this product. After cleansing, my skin feels clean, with no residue, and tight, though not uncomfortably so. I follow it immediately with toner and moisturizer as mentioned above, which also keeps my skin from becoming too dry.
Upon receiving this product, I immediately cut it into thirds, since my experience with bar soaps is that they tend to melt quickly and waste the soap. I also use a soap saver to keep it from sitting in water in my shower or on my sink. With these precautions already taken, I have been pleasantly surprised that I have not had much soap loss. I think my next bar I will cut in half, simply because the bar is large and might be awkward in hand, but cutting it into thirds seems excessive.
Altogether, I like this soap very much, I saw a noticeable improvement in the tone and clarity of my complexion in as little as 2 days of use. Continued use of this product has not left my skin overly dry or irritated like other cleansers I have used before. It has a light, pleasant fragrance, also a plus since I do not like highly scented products on my face. I do plan to purchase again!

The smell makes my eyes burn long after I've left the shower. My skin condition was not improved by it at all. I was unsure about trying this one, as I didn't know Iris had any smell at all. But I tried it, and I'm really glad I did, it is a WONDERFUL smell! It's got a lovely floral smell, but not overpowering, more subtle. But subtle with plenty of punch! Kind of hard to explain, but it is DEFINITELY a winner! Totally recommend this one!

I haven't purchased this item from Amazon.com, but from another distributor. This soap is very mild and has a unique scent to it....can't quite put my finger exactly on the scent, but I like it very much. Having said this, because of its' unique scent, some might find it undesirable. The cost is mid-range, but is very effective. BTW, I usually use Ivory or (strangely?) Irish Spring because many soaps bother my sinus area. Also, I occasionally will shower/bathe with white vinegar when using soap. It enhances the scent AND the acid works to combat odor AND it softens my skin: I guess the acid is a protective barrier?.

All my three sons had severe eczema starting at about 3-4 months after birth. Each time they would start scratching because of the horrible itch, I would think of nothing but my children going into a trance, where nothing else would matter as long as they are able to tear apart their skin to relieve the itch.After years of steroids, and countless expenses with organic soaps, foods, lotions--you name it, I was at the end of my rope. I wanted to throw in the towel, and I felt so sad that there was very little I can do as a mother to help my childrens' skin condition. I stopped praying that God would cure my children; I prayed a desperate prayer for Him to show me some way, any way, to help them instead. For those who do not believe in answered prayers, my best friend called 2 days later and told me about Moor Mud soap. She even said she had ordered Moor Nature's Code Bar Soap and will give me a few bars to try on the children. I was very hesitant and skeptical because I felt like I have tried everything under the sun! Reluctantly, when I received the soap, I used it on my 8 month old son. After a few baths which I washed him with the soap, I started noticing the "rough, scaly skin" was gone. His skin was had become softer and was no longer dry. It started to look like, "normal, healthy baby skin."
One day he had some type of allergic reaction I could not figure out. His cheeks and ears were beet red and he had bumps all over his underarms and tummy. Thinking it may be irritations from playing on the carpet, I opted to give him a bath and used the Moor soap to wash. To my amazement, about 5-10 minutes later, the red was gone, and his skin returned to the soft, healthy looking baby skin again. I didn't have to give him any medications to calm down the allergic reactions.
I wish I have heard of this years ago. I would have saved my children from so many of my desperate measures to help alleviate their suffering. I don't usually write reviews, but this product has been a miracle for my family and I felt the need to share. I don't know if you will have such dramatic results, but it is worth a try. Since we started using this soap, we have not used any steroids, the itching seems dramatically less, and we see dramatic healing in our children's skin.
For those of you who believe in the power of "The Almighty",I want to reinforce that He answers our desperate pleas. This soap was our answer. Good luck to you and God's blessings!

Sumi Haigou Settuken Charcoal Bar Soap - 3 bars, 135g each
I have combination skin & before using this product, would get a pimple or two every few days. After using this for a month, I haven't seen any breakouts! None. It doesn't dry out the skin or leave residue, I've only been using this to remove my makeup and keep my skin clear. My skin even feels smoother. Its an average sized bar of soap, I expect one bar to last me months. Perhaps the pack of three will last me a year? Well worth the price!!

Doesn't dry out my skin.
Price is very good for getting 3 good size bars.
Foams well, don't have to use too much like other charcoal soaps.
Cons:
Only oneand that's the smell. It literally smells like crayons! I'm assuming it's from the bamboo? Don't know. Skin doesn't smell like the soap after use which is good. I still gave this 5 stars as the smell doesn't affect performance. Smell is strong when you first open the package but dwindles after use.
*** Wanted to add: This stuff lasts ALOT longer per bar than other charcoal soaps i've tried.
