I find the scent of this Icy Blast version of Irish Spring reminds me of the men's cologne Polo Sport. My husband actually bought this version by mistake one day, when picking up his usual Irish Spring soap. He took to it right away, and hasn't wanted to go back to the original since. He really likes the smell a lot, and I find I do too. I've been buying it for him for several months now, and it's still his favorite. The bars of soap are a blue color, instead of the traditional Irish Spring green color. I've used the soap several times (when I've been out of mine) and it washes and cleans just as well as the original Irish Spring version, with just a more cologne like scent. We love Irish Spring bar soap and buy them by the dozens. Compared to other soaps this is a great value and not harsh on my sensitive skin. When I use liquid soap at work my hands become dry, itchy and scaly. Not a problem with Irish Spring soap and I use it all the time. I tried more expensive brands like Dove Beauty Bar and didn't like it better.This review is for the Icyblast Cool. The scent is so strong and unnatural it made me gag in the shower. Even the thought of taking a shower again made me shudder. (I was on a out of town assignment equipped with only 1 bar of soap that I brought.) The scent is way too much! I stick to the Original Scent from then on. Would appreciate an unscented version even better if they come out with one.

My daughter loves gifts that involve making things, so we got her this kit for her 6th birthday. I loved that I could read her the instructions and then let her go, and encouraged her to do different things then the instructions said, too--she had a great time shaping the soaps, using the little bath salts, and was delighted by the fact that she got to put each completed soap in it's own little plastic case. I was delighted that we didn't have to cook anything, melt anything, or make a huge mess. They smell fine--the same genre as play doh, but a little stronger, I'd say it's not unpleasant. When she uses them in the bath, the glitter that she sprinkled on top gets all over her skin, which she loves. She gave one to her grandma and she was so proud of herself. She keeps them carefully tucked away, so her brother doesn't use them, and has asked for another kit for Christmas. So, for us, this was a great choice. If you have a little girl that's crafty--this is a fun way to spend an afternoon.
Re: scent of the soap. We don't think it is stinky. It has a hint of honeysuckle fragrance. All the colors smell the same so you don't get a blend of scents.

My one complaint is that the price is a lot for 3 soaps, but then again, my girls rationed their supplies and poured some of the material into cupcake holders that we had at our house. This product is a cute concept and the online pictures are adorable. However, the clay used to constuct your soaps has a horrible perfume/flower smell that sent my kids running. It's almost laughable that they scented the clay with cheap perfume. Why not fun fruity flavors? Even better, clay that actually smells like cupcakes? I still can't get the smell off my hands and it's been hours... it actually turns your stomach. Don't be fooled by the cute picturesstay away from this stinky product!

I am a beginner when it comes to soap making, and this was so easy to work with! It is not super hard so its easy to cut along the score lines and break apart. I melted in the microwave, added fragrance & color and poured into molds. The final product turned out amazing! I will definitly be buying more and giving as christmas presents! Pomegranate Rose - Naturally Moisturizing Bath Bar, 4.25 oz,(Yardley London)
I was really excited when I saw in the drugstore that Yardley had a new feminine scented soap since I LOVE Yardley soaps because they are actually "cakes" of soap (that actually get softer and fall apart sooner or later vs mass drugstore consumer soaps) that are affordable with REAL natural ingredients that are not just mass produced with lots of cheap chemicals like other soaps. And I LOVE fruity/light floral scents. But when I tried the pomegranate rose soap, it didn't lather well and when I bathed with it, there was very little pomegranate rose scent and it didn't scent my body as I thought it would. In fact, the soap was as hard as a rock with no real moisturizing. It's a great idea but badly executed.
The soap also has little texture bits in it that I love. I love the feel of the soap, the way it makes me feel clean, and most of all: it does not irritate my skin. I do have rather sensitive skin, and there are lots of soaps that make me itch, but Yardley is not one of them.
There is something about Yardley that I love the shape, the feel, the clean-feeling, the scent, the no-irritating skin. I love all varieties of Yardley that I've used. I love Yardley so much, it would be hard for me to give it anything less than 5 stars.
