Without question, this is a superior lavender soap. This is a big bar of pale purple soap, with L'Occitane's lavender scent (as seen in a variety of other L'occitane products, from handcream to shower gel). I happen to think that L'Occitane's lavender is a beautiful variation on a traditional scent. It's not a sharp or strong herbal lavender, rather, it's a soft scent, with a few herbal notes, but not at all sharp. The bar itself creates a thick, rich lather, and lasts quite a long time. Overall, a pleasure to use.
