Lovely, old-fashioned soaps that are hard to find, so I was happy to find them through Amazon. Very nice presentation in a gift box. I love the long-lasting scent!

The soaps were good but I expected this fragrance have more of a chypre scent. Maybe the fragrance has changed over the years.

I used to see this soap in stores in Florida but up here in the northeast I just don't find it. I love the scent of this soap. I'm very sensitive to scents and this is just delicate and nice. Beautiful package too.

Bar Soap - Tulsi-Neem, 2.7 oz ( Multi-Pack)

Its a wonderful hand made soap and much better than some expensive soaps out there. Although it does not have any chemicals or detergents (which is great), it lathers very nicely. The best part of the soap is the fresh herbal tulsi scent. I wish they would make other products with this scent.

Believe me for this price its a steal. And its cruelty free and not tested on animals which is great.

I used this soap when I bought it and I had facial acne within one week the acne had disappeared and my face was as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Clearly Natural Glycerine Soap, 4 oz - PARENT

The Jasmine glycerine soap is our favorite. It has a wonderful scent. (Note the other, negative review on this product has a correction, & is actually for a different scent can't comment on that one since we haven't tried it.) The glycerine is not overly drying, either.

NOTE: After checking this out again at the store, the soap reviewed below is actually the BLUEBERRY soap by "Clearly Natural."

I wouldn't normally review a bar of soap--after all--what's there to review, but this bar is an exception. Perhaps the doors of perception will differ for others, but the jasmine soap has a peculiar odor.

While usually a fan of Clearly Natural products, something went wrong here. I think, frankly, that it smells like poop. Seriously. And that's not exactly the "scent" I want when taking a shower. Another person in the family likens it to bathroom cleanser. To each his or her own, but I recommend another soap "flavor."

It is a fairly good product, but does not compare to DETTOL itself. I can fully understand why it is made in India rather than the United Kingdom, as it just not in the same category as the antiseptic.

Fresh Umbrian Clay Treatment Bar 7.1 oz (198.8 g)

My skin is complicated acne prone, oily in the t-zone, and dry and flaky in patches. At 30 years old, this is not something that I'm happy about. I have tried a plethora of products, and eventually settled on Clinque because it seemed to keep my skin ok looking (not great, but not embarrassingly bad). Recently I became more concerned with the ingredients in my cosmetics and beauty products, and felt I needed to make a switch to products where I could identify the ingredients listed without having to ask my chemist-husband to decipher them. After a ton of research, I settled on the Fresh skincare line. I started with the Soy Skincare set, and was pleased with the results. My face was moisturized and my acne wasn't getting worse. I had been wary about purchasing this bar $38 for a bar of clay? But the overwhelmingly positive reviews all over the internet made me feel like I should try it. And boy, am I thrilled I did.

First off, this isn't like typical cleansers. In fact, I still have to use a cleanser to wash off my makeup at night. This bar is a treatment, and I use it in the mornings before applying my makeup. I wet my face, wet a corner of the bar, and gently glide the bar over my skin leaving a smear of clay all over my face. I brush my teeth, and make a cup of coffee while the clay dries, and then rinse it off. My skin is truly radiant after using this bar for only a week I haven't seen my skin look like this since I was a child! My skin tone is more even, acne is healing and I'm having fewer breakouts (there were more the first few days, but I think it's because the clay was bringing the impurities to the surface and getting them out of my pores), and my skin is glowing. I cannot speak highly enough of this bar! After years of struggling with various products, who would have thought that some clay would be the fix? I envision myself using this bar long into the future.

Ivory Original 10-Count: Bath Size Bars (4 Oz), 40 Ounce

When you have a social agenda such as I do you need to be clean and not smell like you just crawed through a sewer pipe like on the episode of Family Guy that spoofed the Shawshank Redemption. I shower regularly with this soap and use a little cologne and everythign is coming up roses. And remember gentlemen a little colongne goes a long way. Just saying.

The bars wear down quickly, but I love this soap. The version with aloe makes me beak out, but this one does not.

Sometime during my adulthood, I slowly started having "contact allergies" with various soaps. Bath soaps, laundry soaps... I don't even use fabric softener anymore.

Previously, I was using Cetaphil bar soap (for about 5 years), which worked well for me, but I thought I would try Ivory soap for a while and ease my budget a bit. It had been years since I used Ivory soap, but I don't recall not liking it... I think I just moved on to more perfumed soaps... until the allergies started.

I made the switch about 6 months ago, and so far, I am very pleased with Ivory soap. I have had no allergy-like symptoms. It is a bit more "drying" to my skin, but I tend to have more "oily" skin, so that hasn't been a problem so far. I used it during the Winter and Spring... and now Summer is arriving, so I believe I will stay with Ivory for a while. It's a good, basic soap and suits my needs well.

L'OCCITANE Shea Butter Milk Soap

I feel somewhat addicted to the rich, milky scent of this soap! This shea soap has a lovely thick lather to it and leaves my skin soft and moisturized. I do use lotion afterwards, but I don't actually have to the soap doesn't leave my skin tight or dry like most other brands.

I have a lot of allergies to body products, but I adore this L'Occitane shea line. I also really like the Milk shampoo/conditioner and lotions/ creams. I don't actually really care for the shower cream in this scent, though. The soap is more moisturizing and lasts longer.

This is the second time I've had this particular soap. It's a wonderful moisturizing soap that is It's a great soap for shaving, too. It's not cheap, but it's a great special treat!

The calves of my legs get very dry and itchy year-round if a soap is even slightly drying, and this soap does not cause itching.

Monoi Bar Soap Gardenia 4.55 oz ( Multi-Pack)

This is the same soap I found in the bungalows at the Bali Hai on Mo'orea, Tahiti in French Polynesia. Its scent is from the tiaré flower, a variety of gardenia which neither looks nor smells like the gardenias in my back yard. The tiaré is the national flower of Tahiti. Tourists are handed a tiaré bud when they get off the plane. There are trays of tiaré buds set out in public places, hotels, restaurants, fruit stands. Men and women put a tiaré bud behind their ear (right for single, left for married) in the morning, where it gradually blooms to adorn the hair and release that exquisite fragrance though in all honesty, while I saw men of all ages wearing the bud, I never did see one with a full blossom behind either ear.

It isn't fancy carved white soap. It's a plain brown with the word "Tahiti" molded in one side and "Tiki Tahiti" alongside a tiaré bud on the other side. The scent is not complex, just tiaré and the coconut oil in the soap. It lathers to a normal amount of suds and rinses clean, leaving a very light fragrance. It lasts as long as any bar soap I've used and a lot longer than glycerin or liquid soaps. I struggle with scent and skin allergies, but this soap doesn't give me a headache or a rash. It leaves the bathroom smelling like a Tahitian bungalow.

The only thing better than finding it on Amazon would be going to Tahiti to get more.

All the soaps say they are moisturizing, but this one really is. It holds the subtle scent it has through the long life of the bar, too. The quality is truly far above any other soap I have tried, and I have tried dozens and dozens! The packaging is beautiful also. It is made by an independent company in Portugal, by a family that has been making this soap since the nineteenth century. Excellent gift and and also an affordable luxury for yourself, because though the large bars are about $16, they last more than six months in perfect condition, getting smaller very very slowly.

I was first attracted to these soaps by the "wallpaper art" wrappers, the names and then (sniff) the fragrence!!! They last quite a long time, do not break up even when thin. I've used them until they're as small as a dime but thinner and still producing lather. I have a clear plastic 16 pocket shoebag hanging on the back of my bathroom door to display my collection of soaps and the wrappers I just couldn't throw away. I've used Tobaco, Banho, Ilylia, Favorito and Vanille. Just purchased Voga and Lelite.

Mountain Fresh Antibacterial Deodorant Soap by Dial for Unisex - 3 x 4 oz Soap

All the people who rated this soap as a 1-star because it "breaks" prematurely are idiots. All soap breaks. I've used this soap for about 2 months now and I've had no problems. It doesn't break until it's just a tiny sliver of its former self.

By the way, in general, if a piece of soap breaks because it's close to be used up, you have two options:

1. Attach it to a new piece of soap

2. Put it next to the sink and use it as hand soap

My real rating would be more like a 3 because it is smaller by about 0.5 oz, but I gave it a 4 because of all the ridiculous 1-star ratings. This soap smells good, it gets a good lather, and it's a decent price. What more can you ask for? It's SOAP!!

I agree that the new shape was a way to sell 4.o ounces instead of 4.5 ounces over 10% smaller for the same price. But I like the fact that the concave area is a great place to put the old sliver. Just wet the top of the new bar, and leave the old sliver in the concave. The logo impression actually helps the meld, as the old soft soap leaks into the crevices. The next time you shower, they will have dried and melded together and there's no wasting the old portion.

I usually don't write reviews, but after reading some of these, I had to. First, this is my favorite Dial scent, and usually is hard to find. I was very pleased to find it on Amazon, though the price is a little higher.

Second, what is wrong with you one-star raters? Yes, as with many products, Dial's bars are getting smaller. But the bar still lasts a long time, and I use it until it's barely a sliver, without breaking. I think your problems result from user-error. "It breaks and becomes virtually unusable." Not sure if using soap has become overly complicated or reviewers are unaware of its traditional soap-like, shape-regenerative properties when the pieces are introduced to water.

I loved that I could read her the instructions and then let her go, and encouraged her to do different things then the instructions said, too--she had a great time shaping the soaps, using the little bath salts, and was delighted by the fact that she got to put each completed soap in it's own little plastic case. I was delighted that we didn't have to cook anything, melt anything, or make a huge mess. They smell fine--the same genre as play doh, but a little stronger, I'd say it's not unpleasant. When she uses them in the bath, the glitter that she sprinkled on top gets all over her skin, which she loves. She gave one to her grandma and she was so proud of herself. She keeps them carefully tucked away, so her brother doesn't use them, and has asked for another kit for Christmas. So, for us, this was a great choice. If you have a little girl that's crafty--this is a fun way to spend an afternoon.

My 9-year-old daughter received this kit for Easter. She could not wait to start making the "cupcakes". She thinks it is really fun and likes that it could be a group activity or one by herself. Following the instructions was easy. She made a realistic looking strawberry in no time. Her 10-year-old cousin also got this kit and had a blast making her own cupcake soap designs. Wish we could find refills of the soap clay!

Re: scent of the soap. We don't think it is stinky. It has a hint of honeysuckle fragrance. All the colors smell the same so you don't get a blend of scents.

My daughters (ages 8 and 10) had a lot of fun making their cupcake soaps and they looked really pretty and smelled fine. My one complaint is that the price is a lot for 3 soaps, but then again, my girls rationed their supplies and poured some of the material into cupcake holders that we had at our house. The result-they made 6 cupcake soaps (3 each) instead of only 3 :-)

Bought this for my 5 1/2 year old who loves crafts. Cute idea but needed a lot of adult help. The materials were hard to work with, they kept crumbling and it was frustrating. Messy.

This product is a cute concept and the online pictures are adorable. However, the clay used to constuct your soaps has a horrible perfume/flower smell that sent my kids running. It's almost laughable that they scented the clay with cheap perfume. Why not fun fruity flavors? Even better, clay that actually smells like cupcakes? I still can't get the smell off my hands and it's been hours... it actually turns your stomach. Don't be fooled by the cute picturesstay away from this stinky product!
