Monoi Tiare Soap Bar Gardenia (Tiare)

This is a tropical Polynesian scented soap. The Gardenia is not overpowering, but subtle and refreshing. It's a good value because of the hard-milling of the soap which makes it last a really long time.

I first used this when in French Polynesia. The very light scent, remindes me of the islands. The mild moisturizing effect is great for the skin. Wonderful stuff.

It smells lovely! Sniffing the bar directly makes me sneeze, but on my skin the scent is light & stays the whole day. Unfortunately, it's drying, even on my oily skin. Not sure if I will purchase again, I may just stick to the oil itself.

Just an FYI, Tiaré is a type of gardenia, but does not have the same scent as the Common/White Gardenia, which is used to fragrance most 'Gardenia' bath & beauty products. IMO, Tiare is very sweet, almost fruity-smelling, in the same way Frangipani (Plumeria) or Honeysuckle can be. If you want tropical, Tiaré or "Tahitian Gardenia" is this one. If you are looking for the typical, White Gardenia scent, try Body Shop or Caswell-Massy.

If you have been to French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, Raiatea, Moorea…), this is the exact soap they use there. It has a fantastic tropical floral scent that is pleasant in the bath and not very apparent on your skin afterwards. The coconut oil makes your skin soft; my husband and I find we do not need to use lotion when we use this soap. It is a standard full size bath bar.

Auromere Ayurvedic Soap

This review is for Auromere Ayurvedic Soap w/ Neem; not the seller nor this Amazon listing.

It's only slightly drying if used excessively, however, the fact that it smells like heaven and is made with truly natural ingredients makes it five stars.

I like Kiss my face brand too but I haven't come across this wonderful kind of scent before. I wish their Vanilla truly smelled of vanilla but it didn't and it isn't as pleasant as this one.

My skin is combination, with oily patches and patches of very dry, flaky, itchy skin. Auromere neem soaps have totally fixed all of my skin problems. I have tried SO many different cleansers and never found one that completely eliminated the patches of dermatitis over my eyebrows and at the sides of my nose, but this soap does!

To comment on some of the other reviewsI have never found this soap drying in the least, but I have seen enough similar comments from people using botanical soaps to believe that some people have very strong reactions to some botanical ingredients, and this has several. To me, this is a mild soap, much less drying than most cleansers. This soap does have a very strong odor, and I tend to alternate use with the lavender or vanilla neem soap. Some people seem to like it, some don't. The scent is from the tulsi, their other neem soaps do not share it.

This is nothing more than castile soap with a few herbs and the smallest amount of neem at the end! I wasn't too disappointed, you get what you pay for!

My skin is very sensitive and dry and this is far from what I needed! Regular Olive Oil based soaps, like the one from Kiss My Face (Olive Oil Soap Bar unscented) are wayyyyy more gentle on the skin than this!

I bought this soap in an attempt to help the eczema that had developed on my fingertips. In the first use it dried my hands out, and made the eczema worse, or at least more noticeable. I couldn't get past the horrible smell to continue using this soap! I still have the soap in case my eczema returns & I have no other option, but I've had to seal it within a Ziploc bag in order for it to not stink up my bathroom cabinet. Maybe after a few uses the scent won't be so bad, but I've had for several months & it's still very strong.

Carbolic Soap (Red Colour) (110g) Brand: SoapWorks

This is a great soap with a great scent. I remember using carbolic soap as a kid and I always remember the smell. It also really, really, really gets you clean.

As for its ability to repel mosquitoes, I cannot say. But its worth a try.

This soap is fantastic for acne. It does kind of smell weird when "dry" and not wet but you can't smell a thing once it is all wet and you are ready to lather it up on yourself. It has cleared my face up and has kept it clear for a long time now and it is better then other acne products out there. It is extremely thick and hard to rinse off so make sure you really scrub. I work as a mechanic and between all the grease I get on me (which clogs my pores) to getting it off of my hands carbolic soap is the best thing to use. Only thing I don't like is the shipping costs but I have yet to find a cheap bar anywhere yet so I guess I will have to live with that.

Great Stuff, a bit harsh for delicate skin types though. Pretty hard to find the soap that changed though course of surgical history. Doctors washing their hands with carbolic soap reduced operation induced surgical infection by more than 70%. Became the smell of the colonies, never mind all that, it is a very effective antibacterial and deodorant soap.

I heard that carbolic soap is an old-fashioned way of treating rosacea. In addition to regular rosacea, primarily on one side of my face, I also have ocular rosacea on the same side. After washing twice daily with this soap, and rubbing it in well around the eye and eyebrow area, I seem to have achieved a breakthrough in the ocular rosacea. While my eye and cheek redness are not 100% better, the eye is 90% better and the skin 50%. No idea why this has worked so well but am just happy to be able to report significant success.

This is a mildly-abrasive bar with bits of grit in it. The best feature is the fragrance! After I tried the soap. I also purchased a lotion with the cranberry & pomegranate scent. I wish Burt's Bees would make more products with this fragrance. The soap lathers and lasts well, and the scent doesn't fade with use.

I love all of the Burt's Bees products but this soap is just great! It smells great and I love that it has a grit to it. I believe the soap uses pomegranate seeds to exfoliate. If you want a soap that is not drying yet exfoliates, this is the soap for you! Will definitely purchase this again!

Shea Touch - Green Healing Soap Bar (3.5 Oz)

I think the fact that it's very organic is the only reason I rated it a 4 and not a 3. I was looking forward to bathing with this soap when I saw it had neem to keep away bacteria and fungi and it would moisturize with shea butter, but I did not find the soap at all comforting or easy to use. Just getting lather out of it is like pulling teeth. It's very hard so i'm sure it will last a long time. I felt my skin drying instead of moisturizing so I wonder what kind of quality the shea butter is in this product. My skin did NOT feel healed either where there was some scarring. The soap fragrance is delicate/subtle, not strong or overpowering, but I LIKE strong aromatherapy fragrance soaps.

I much prefer other luxurious brands of soap over this one which are also organic such as the triple milled long-lasting, wonderful strong fragrance, rich lather French style soaps like the South of France, French Milled Soap : SHEA BUTTER 8.8 oz ( Multi-Pack) or Pre de Provence Milk Soap, 250g wrapped bar. Dove White 2 Bars

Dove soaps are wonderful moisturizing soaps this is a staple in my household especially during winter months. It moisturizes dry skin very well and leaves it feeling smooth without the residues that some soaps leave behind.

Also it has a nice clean scent that isn't heavy or abrasive. The fact that it comes in so many different types helps as well. My favorite is the original white bar, the nutrium bar with vitamins or the sensitive skin bar.

The Dove products really do what they say. I also adore their line of deodorants! Can't beat the price either. Great product at a great price. Sienna - Shave Soap Refill

As far as shaving soaps go, I find this one to be the best. Once I tried it, I never changed neither brand nor scent. Using a Silvertip Badger Brush, this soap produces a thick lather that will both protect and discretely scent your skin with a Renaissance floral essence that will not clash with most after-shave lotions.

This one is a genuine refill, so keep in mind that it needs a shaving-soap bowl. I would strongly recommend to first buy a complete C&E Shaving Soap in Wooden Bowl Set and then keep replenishing the soap whenever needed.

The price is a bit rich for my blood for an everyday soap, but I bought this as a treat for myself. I love the aftershave I have in this scent so I thought why not?

As a soap this is great! As shampoo, I found it a bit lacking. I have never used a shampoo bar before but in a pinch have used bar soap as a shampoo, and found that this shampoo bar did not do quite as well as Ivory or Dove does.

I loved the scent it is a great way to wake up in the morning. My wife loved to come in while I was using it just to smell the bathroom.

I will save the other bar to use when I travel this summer for mission trips just to feel a little fresher and cleaner when I get my 5 minute shower, and to save room not having to pack both shampoo and soap.

Clean Logic Lavender Soap Sponge

DermaZinc Soap - 3.75 oz

When ZNP Bar disappeared, I was shocked at the lack of alternative products and disappointed I had not been notified in time to build up a stash! I had used ZNP for many years to control my seborrheic dermatitis and within a week I was desperate! Then my dermatologist recommended DermaZinc and after trying it, I was glad ZNP went away because DermaZinc works equally well but it is not as drying as the ZNP Bar, so my skin actually feels better. Now, as I reorder my quantity supply, I find there are other Zinc Pyrithione 2% soaps out there that cost much more. Everyone should have tried DermaZinc instead.

There is another product that my Dad has used for years, but are having trouble keeping up with demand. I found this on Amazon by just putting in the active ingredents, (Zinc). Bars are a little smaller then the previous soap he was using, but otherwise he cannot tell a difference. This product works great on his rashes. ( He has very sensitive skin, and problems with skin cancer popping up now and then.) The Dematolgist recommenened soap with Zinc, and I showed him this bar, he said he would reccomend it available on Amazon.

This is my favorite soup in the world! I was very depressed because my psoriasis attacked 90% of my body, I wasn't able to walk or sleep without pain, I don't have a health insurance and paying for the shots was not a possibility. I decided to buy soap and take a long shower and take off all the patches with a small towel (very painful) and use this soap and leave it for a few minutes (even more painful) I don't work for these guys, I actually tried all the dermazinc soaps and they all work so you don't have to buy this specific brand. I've been using this soap for the last year and I'm really grateful, I'm not cured and this is not a cure but since i've been using it I only get 2 or 3 small patches. The fastest way to get results is to take off all your patches while taking a shower and then use the soap, This is going to hurt a lot, I cried when i did it, but in less than 4 days i was able to sleep and walk without any pain. I hope it works for every single person because psoriasis is really debilitating.
