Grand Trunk Road Soap

Grand Trunk Road SoapWithin a thin plastic case, this system is comprised of small thin soap leaves that are helpful for getting clean, on-the-go outdoors. Just add water and your hands get clean. This is more helpful than just using hand sanitizer which doesn't get rid of the dirt. It takes one leaf to wash your hands/arms. The pitfall is that you must take the leaves out, before you wet your hands.

This makes a great system for camping or when you're outdoors and need some really deep cleaning.

It's really worth a try.

No amount of hand sanitizer will make my hands feel as clean as washing it with soap. I love taking this with me to the beach, to public parks, camping, hiking, and anywhere where you know there will be little to no chance of finding soap in public restrooms. Or any restroom at all. It bubbles up like real soap. Just make sure you take out each sheet BEFORE wetting hands. I take this with me everywhere and love the peace of mind it brings to me as a germ-phobe.

Some things I had problems with:

product arrived damp and all the sheets stuck together. I was sent replacements, but there were still slightly damp. Didn't want to make a big deal out of it since I was sent replacements once already, so I just manually pulled apart all 40 sheets when I could. There are still some sheets that are still stuck together, but it's not too big of a deal

case is not waterproof, so make sure you store it away from moisture

Anyone genius enough to make these should have been smart enough to put them in a more rugged and WATERPROOF pack. I used these for five or so camp trips. Bought another (good thing they are cheap) and two trips later it went down the river with me. It was inside my pack, inside a trash bag and we didn't tip over (just standard splash). While camping on the river I brought them out to wash up and the multiple leaves I was expecting had become one blob. Nothing around them was wet (that I could feel), it was like they absorbed all the water before anything else could get exposed. I just use the hotel size shaving cream now to wash my hands when camping.

My daughter-in-law recommended this for our trip to China, where there is rarely soap in the bathrooms (or hot water, or tissue or paper towels for that matter). This came in very handy, and I was able to help out a friend with them, too.
