I bought these to put in a nice soap dish I purchased and wanted the soaps to be used. They have a nice scent I would describe more like lemon verbina and are very moisturizing. One thing I find amazing about these soaps is my son had grease on his hands and went into our guest bath to wash up and these little soaps got the grease off his hands better than the special soaps I buy for the guys. I am not going to buy this for them to degrease with because of the price but is very interesting this soap works better.

A very heavy perfume smell. The bathroom smells like I have a bunch scented candles burning. A little of that type of smell is nice but not every time I wash up and every time anyone walks past the bathroom. Unfortunately I bought a six pack. :-(

I decided to try it out and have found the only soap I want to use. The fragrance is great, it does not overpower. I guess the milling process gives the soap it's texture which removes the need for all those bath/shower accessories. And 1 bar lasted over 2 months. This soap is the best, it does it all. If you have acne, blemishes, dark spots, dry skin, you name it this soap cures it. I'm a woman who loves trying new face washes but by far this stuff is the best kept "secret" and is dirt cheap.I'm African American with combination skin, and my face doesn't feel tight after I wash it, or oily hours later. I had a couple of small pimples on my forehead and cheek. After 2 days, you can barely see them and my face looks much brighter! The scent is not overpowering or strong, it is very light. This by far the best lightening soap I've used so far. Last summer I used Dianna Stalder's Kojic Soap without ANY results, but with the Daggett and Ramsdell soap I've seen great results. I have been using this soap for a month and half with remarkable results. I used it to remove my annual summer tan. The key is to scrub this stuff into your skin with a sponge. For my face, I like to soap my hands up with this soap and mix in a little bit of St. Ives Apricot scrub to help the process along. Exfoliation is key. I don't really think this soap will lighten you past your natural complexion if that's what you're going for--this is why I like it personally. I did not aim to lighten up more than what was natural, but to lighten my complexion back to it's original color.

I have a sensitive skin and as a result was not able to find something to take the greese off my face and at the same time mild and gentle, until I found Cetaphil Cleansing Bar.
I'm diabetic and I have issues with boils and abcesses. Most products that are supposed to help with this dry out the skin, but this soap doesn't do that! It has a nice clean scent and my skin feels really good. I've only been using it for a few days, so I don't see a difference in my skin issues yet, but I already love this soap! I even used it on my scalp yesterday (I have dry scalp, also) and it's helped with that already! Yes, it's pricy, but SO worth it!

I purchased this as I read it may help breakouts. I haven't noticed that it helps a ton in that category, but I would say in combination with baking soda and other things I've been trying my skin has gotten a little better. Either way this soap feels great on my skin and rinses off completely leaving you feeling very clean. I would order again.
