Grisi Bio Sulfur Soap with Lanolin 1-pack 4.4 Oz.

Grisi Bio Sulfur Soap with Lanolin 1-pack 4.4 Oz.This is the second sulfur based soap I have tried for treatment of my cystic acne. The first was Born Again MSM Herbal Bar 3 oz. I liked it but it didn't do anything magical to my skin so I decide to up the ante and go for a higher concentration of Sulfur. This bar is 10% Sulfur and .1% Bio-sulfur. A lot of acne products are in the 1-5% range.

When I use this soap I really feel like the top layer of my skin is getting deep cleaned and any dead skin is washed away. This is surprising since the soap does not have any kind of abrasiveness to it. It seems like the sulfur just dissolves the dead tissue? Also my pores have seemed significantly cleaner and less noticeable. As for an improvement in my cystic acne... only time will tell.

I use this product twice per day. I usually lather it up on my face with warm water, brush my teeth and then rinse with cold water. So far I am really happy with this bar. It is slightly drying though, so I use Cetaphil Fragrance Free Moisturizing Lotion, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) with it.

Overall I am really happy. I'll update after two-months of use to determine the final verdict, but so far so good!

I hate that Amazon often sells products without clear listing of the ingredients and labels.

Here it is, directly from the box:

Active Ingredients:

Sulfur 10%

Biosulfur 0.1%

Inactive Ingredients:

Sodium Tallowate

Sodium Cocoate

Corn (Zea Mays)Starch

Sulphur

Fragrance

Lanolin

Tetrasodium EDTA

Polysorbate 80

Sulphur

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

I'm not sure why sulfur is listed twice under the inactive ingredients, but the second list may be for the Bio Sulfur (captioned on the front that it's for oil, acne prone and blemish control). I've tried other sulfur soaps in the past, and this soap doesn't seem to have as strong of sulfur smell in comparison. The soap also has the look, smell, and the texture that reminds me of a block of laundry soap bar I grew up with. The soap isn't as drying as others I've tried, but you should avoid using any other drying agents while using the soap. The more you dry out your skin, it'll get oilier by compensating for the dryness. I'm taking a star off for the use of the SLS cheap foaming agent that can be an irritant.

Seemed to help in keeping scabies at bay... but we caught early. Overall, the soap feels good. We did notice more of a "smokey" smell, from the sulfur after bathing a few times. But good soap overall.. just more expensive than typical bar soaps in the store.

Oh my goodness, where was this soap when I was a teenager? I have tried many items for many years to control acne and oily skin, just to be dissapointed. Often ordering products from TV. After using one bar of Grisi bio sulfer soap, my face is now 99 % free of pimples and blackheads. This product is fantastic. Never again will I pay high prices for products claiming to cure acne when I can buy the Grisi soap at such an affordable price. I would highly reccomend this product to anyone suffering from acne, oily skin, or other skin ailments. No where else will give you this value for your money. I would have liked to have known about this product many years ago. The company needs to advertise more and make the product more known.

I originally ordered this item and was sent a completely different item. The seller then made me take pictures of the item and email them to him before I was able to officially return it. By the time I received my item I no longer had any use for it. What a waste of time.
