I'm an African-American woman with natural hair.
I have thick, coarse, kinky hair and I've always struggled with a good shampoo.
I have used a lot of different shampoos but so far, this shampoo has been the only shampoo that has left my hair feeling soft, moisturized, and detangled.
I'm still new at learning was works for my hair, but for now, this will be my staple shampoo/detangler.
You can purchase these Alaffia items from the actual store online.
The money goes to the women who make the products and helps empower them in their community.
Also, you can buy this product from most healthy grocery stores: Whole Foods, Nugget, Sprouts, Henry's.
I'll update this review once I finish the product.

We found this soap when shopping at Whole Foods and thought to try it. I have always had dry skin, but after using this product, do not even need body lotion. I introduced family members to it and they all are hooked! Would recommend to everyone regardless of ethnic origin.Love this stuff. I've had rashes and psoriosis for years and this soap has worked wonders. Even my feet feel like I've had a pedicure and I use far less moisturizer and I even wash my hair with it. Found at Whole Foods a bit cheaper but don't have a store in my area so I will be buying it here on Amazon. My only complaint is that it doesn't lather very well but I added some Dr. Bronners and that helped.Want Alaffia African Black Soap For All Skin and Hair Types Peppermint -- 32 fl oz Discount?
I like the fact that it is black soap that comes in a gel form. The bottle is big however I found out shortly after purchase that it can be found in my local Whole Foods store for less. The product is good and I love peppermint. I would really like to try the other scents as well. My fiance commented on the fact that he prefers Dr. Bronner's more than this because it gives him a "cleaner" feel.
