It was a major help for my face acne! I used to get a lot of small pimples on my brow and forehead and my wife told me to start washing my face with this soap daily. After about 2 weeks I realized that instead of the usual 8-10 small pimples I on my forehead I was only finding 1 or 2..and they were barely visible. Then after a solid month of daily face washing I now proudly have no more forehead pimples at all.

I love fancy bar soap and hate the liquids. I added this to a cart to qualify for free shipping. This bar is XL when compared to normal drugstore bars. It smells citrusy and nice (scent score: 6 on a 1 to 10 scale). The packaging and intial bar design are nice. But, it's a little drying and disappears at a expedited pace. I wouldn't purchase this again but it is ok.

Sappo Hill makes fantastic soap. It's very mild and creates a rich, lasting lather. I was sick of using soaps/cleansers that were full of preservatives and sodium laureth sulfate, and I wanted a product with minimal packaging (enough with the plastic, already!). Then I found Sappo Hill, and I've never looked back. Because their soap is so gentle, I use the non-scented variety on my face -I have sensitive, oily, blemish-prone skin, and this soap cleanses my face without drying. It rinses off effortlessly, leaving my face squeaky clean (but not overly-so). With a shockingly minimal ingredient list, I know there's nothing in it that will irritate my skin or interfere with my acne treatment or moisturizer.As I keep the bar at my bathroom sink, I also use it to wash my hands. One bar lasts me about eight weeks with daily use on hands and face. I usually buy this soap by the bar from my local organic grocery, which is great because it has absolutely zero packaging (except for the UPC sticker on one side). If you bought this 12-unit set, I imagine it would come in the same recycled/-able cardboard box used for shipping/displaying at the store.
I've tried three other varieties of Sappo Hill's soap -lavender, sandalwood, and oatmeal -and all are top quality and long-lasting. Highly recommended!

Lilac 4oz. Cotton Wrapped Soap
Lilac is a difficult scent to reproduce. This soap was not really as fragrant as I had hoped. And the scent it had was just a bit "off". I'm sure the soap will be fine in use, but I was hoping for something that would remind me of the lilac bush I once had. This one really doesn't do that.The packaging was very nice. It makes a nice presentation for giving as a gift.

I have very sensitive skin and I decided to purchased the coconut bar because the ingredients sounded great.Except for the "essential oils" part there is no mention of what essential oils are being used.
The soap did leave my skin feeling moisturized however it left a burning sensation. I'm guessing it is because of the unknown essential oils.
I prefer kirk's coconut soap better. I would reccommend this soap to those who aren't sensitives to the unknown ingredients/essential oils. This soap is gentle enough for my sensitive/oily skin, but also does a great job removing dirt, oils, and the nasty oder my husband brings home-he's a welder.
Peppermint Shampoo/Total Body Bar
I really like this stuff. I'm a minimalist when it comes to using products to get me clean and with my short-cropped hair, I can use this bar on every surface. It even smells good without being smelly! (Even if you don't have a buzz-cut, I suspect this would be a functional shampoo.)We stumbled upon Fernwood Soap's store while checking out the National Highway this week. Nice little place situated near the Casselman River Bridge, a perfect spot for a picnic.
My hair doesn't feel completely stripped, just clean. And for the rest of my body, there's a slight peppermint smell throughout the day. Again, not smelly, just smells good.

I did a little change up the other day. I have two bathrooms in my house. I bought old faithful, the Origional Irish Spring for upstairs and Irish Spring Icy Blast for downstairs. I must say that it is not as GREAT as the Origional Irish Spring but it is still good. Like the origional the bar holds up well and isn't gone in just a few days. It's a nice size bar of soap and it does have a 'cool blast' kind of scent. I could see if you were a business man sitting in your office all day wheeling and dealing and having some martini's at lunch and a nice cigar with the boys at the club... you might wanna try this. It has that certain manly clean scent that will have your wife ready for play time as soon as dinner is over and Beaver and Wally are ready for bed. That tiger you unleash after a nightcap will pur like a kitten once she smells what a classy, powerful, gentleman really should smell like. Dad hell! Get over here and gimme some sugar baby.

This product came quickly and was what I ordered, I just thought I was ordering the old (original) Lux soap and this wasn't it. It was a gift for a couple of elderly people who couldn't find Lux soap anywhere and they seem to like it, so that's what's important. Expensive with the shipping charges.
