Dudu Osun Soap
I have used this soap for a week and I LOVE it! It has left my skin soft, smooth, and oil free even in 100 degree humid heat. But, what most people need to understand is HOW to use this soap. DO NOT use a wash rag, poof, sponge, or any other device. Use ONLY your hands! Wet your hands, lather the soap up in your hands, then wash your body from head to toe with ONLY YOUR HANDS. You do not need to scrub! Of course you will get too dry & itchy if you are scrubbing too hard with this soap. This soap cleanses so well you only need your HANDS. If you do break out after a couple of days of using this soap, don't give up. I too got a few bumps after a few uses, but they are now clearing up and going away. I think this maybe due to the soap getting the impurities out of my pores. I LOVE THIS SOAP! I only wish I had found it years ago! My freckles seem to be fading, old pimple scars are fading, my pores are shrinking, and my over all skin tone is evening out! Just remember DO NOT SCRUB! Be gentle & the soap will be gentle to you!
Face feels incredibly clean after use, removes all dirt and oil. Great combo is this soap with jojoba oil to moisten the skin. I'm not metro-sexual, nor do I care that much about how I look (sorry wife) but all in all I'm really pleased with the product.I've been using this soap every night for a month straight and I haven't noticed any positive or negative changes in my face. Essentially it works just like any bar of regular soap (at least for me). The one thing I don't like about it is that it's very drying. If you use this soap make sure you have your favorite moisturizer at hand.

When I used this soap on my face, my skin felt squeaky clean and tight. On my body, it cleared some of my skin, but not all. When I got a rash from an allergic reaction to my new cat, this soap cleared it up in a few days. I would definitely recommend this soap to someone else. It has a mild, soapy scent. It does leave brown residue where ever you leave it in the shower. It also lathers up a little brown at first. I wouldn't recommend you use it on a white sponge or a washcloth.This product did what every single Macy's, Online & infomercial line of products has not been able to do. It completely cleared up my skin, evened my skin tone and unclogged & shrunk the appearance of my pores. It also did the same for my 60 year old mother and my 82 year old grandmother (I am 28 with sensitive, combo skin). When you wash your face/body with this product, right after your top layer (dead skin cells) will crumble right off with some help (exfoliant/washcloth). Your skin will feel dry after using it so put on some moisturizer and you'll be set. Your skin will be unbelievable smooth. The only thing that I did not like was that the expiration date was not visible on this pack but I just purchased a 3 pack and all the dates were visible. I love it and tell everyone about it.

Vermont Soap Organics - Shampoo Bar 3.5 Oz Bar Soap
The shampoo bar lathered very well, my hair feels clean. I guess this bar must be super-fatted, because it leaves my hair very nicely 'moisturized.' I did not need to condition my hair after using this shampoo bar. It does not really smell like anything after you rinse, while lathered it smells mildly like herbs.I think I love it?
Con The suds from this bar seemed to make my bathtub floor a little slippery.
UPDATE: I stopped using it on my hair before I finished the bar. After a few uses, my hair just didn't feel right. Hair usually feels great after using a new shampoo, I think that was the effect I experienced. I went back to using a mixture of 1/2 water 1/2 Shampoo Plus Conditioner.

The result is a soap that is far more soothing to the skin and the nose and the soul than any bottle of gel goo you'll get off your grocery store shelf. This product will cause you to look forward to every shower.
This company and others like it vend at least a dozen scents, but as far as I can tell, it is Provence lavender that is overwhelmingly preferred in French soaps.
Many soaps in this genre claim to be a product of France, tripled-milled according to the ancient tradition of "Savon de Marseille" (soap of Marseilles.) I did a little research and Googling and here are some facts I found interesting:
* According to the Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur Tourist Board website "Today, only a half-dozen soap factories remain in Marseilles and Salon de Provence."
* According to French law, only 45% of a product's added value must be sourced in France for it to be labeled "Product of France."
* I was unable to locate a website for the Pre de Provence company or a number of other popular French soap brands listed at french soaps .
* The trademark for Pre de Provence is held by a small distributing company in Washington state.
* The tourist board website also says that the traditional Savon de Marseille process yields only soaps that are light green or wheat in color.
* That website and others show that a traditional Savon de Marseille is typically cubic in shape and has a distinctive and odd debossing.
* a somewhat similar product to this one sells in my local supermarket and it (unlike this product) does come labeled with a list of ingredients: "100% vegetable oils (palm, coconut a/or oil), shea butter, mineral, pigment and clay, natural fragrance, and or essential oils." I watched a TV show about soap making in Marseilles and, as far as I can tell, this list mimics well the ingredients in classic Savon de Marseille. Next time you are in the grocery store, take a moment to read what's in mass-marketed soap. Makes you wonder why you haven't wondered before.
Even with those facts giving me a bit to wonder as to exactly how or where Pre de Provence is produced, the product is nonetheless fantastic. I've tried several products of this genre and, so far, this seems the very best. And it's a bargain compared to many other products in the genre.
Sure, it's more expensive than supermarket soap. And because of the volume of buds, it goes quicker. But on a per day basis, this does not cost that much more. Like I said, if you are willing to fork out what amounts to about $2,000 per pound for coffee at S***bucks, or $5 for a bottle of mass market body scrub gel, then you can certainly afford to treat yourself to a few bars of this stuff.
Then, if you like it, The Frenchy Bee will sell it in bulk, bringing down the cost even more.
Besides, you get to tell everyone at work that you were late again because you were rinsing all the lavender buds out of your tub.
Give it a go.

I was really suprised at how big this bar was when I received it. Even though it is a large bar it is easy to hold on to. It's lightly exfoliating with the little chunks in it. It smells great but isn't too strong, and I could still smell it on my skin throughout the day. I got this one a month ago and there is a little more than half still left of the soap. Long-lasting. The scent of Lavendar is awesome. However, it is overpowering and may not be liked by all. The exfoliant in the soap is great for cleansing the skin, although it tends to make the skin dry a little (much better than other soaps which cause a lot of dryness and do not even clean). I came onto Amazon looking for this soap because it seems as if everything I find on Amazon is a great deal, and a better price that I can find anywhere locally and also online. The suggested retail of this product has been marked up quite a bit, so it seems as if you are saving. This is disappointing. I am a supporter of local business, especially when their prices are comparable. This bar of soap is sold for $6.00 in stores, this is true for Colorado and California both. In terms of the quality of this soap, I absolutely can't say enough good things about it. I gift these soaps all the time. It's such a huge bar of soap, I cut it in half, so it doesn't erode in the shower as much. It really is like buying 2 bars of soap. I would like to encourage you to go to your local boutique that sells soap, and try and find it. Reasonably acceptable soap. But does not smell even a LITTLE BIT like chocolate. Not sure what it smells like... sort of minty, perhaps. Not impressed.

I ordered this soap in hopes that it would smell like coconut and/or vanilla. Unfortunately, it does not. While it has a pleasant smell to it, it in no way resembles coconut or vanilla, which disappoints me a bit. Admittedly, the soap washes away cleanly, leaving no residue or filmy feeling on the skin. After a week of regular use, I do not notice any change in the smoothness of my skin, nor did I notice that my skin seemed any more moisturized than it did with the use of my regular soap.All in all, it has a nice clean smell and washes away very cleanly, but I will not make this purchase again. For the price of this one bar, I can buy a six-pack of vanilla scented soap at my local department store that yields the same results and actually smells like vanilla.

One of the best soaps I have ever used. This soap has very luxurious and creamy lather which holds true to the scent of Coconut and Vanilla. It leaves your skin feeling very smooth and doesn't dry it out! Love it!
