I couldn't wait to reap the benefits of this Pure raw organic black soap. Where do I start, this soap has a very earthy smell which isn't bad at all, it's super soft, it lathers quickly and immediately goes to work once applied to your face/body/hair. I've only used this soap for a few days and OMG what a difference. My skin is soft, silky smooth and just feels clean. For those that have not used this product before a little bit of a warning: it is normal for this soap to make your skin dry because it is pulling out all the impurities, apply a good organic oil and or organic shea butter (something that doesn't clog pores), and you too will see and feel the difference. I will DEFINTELY be reordering from this seller, great quality product, for those that don't like the appearance of this soap, get over it! This soap is all natural, raw and organic, very reasonably priced and it comes right from the motherland! What more can you ask for?

I'm a 31 yo woman and had never had trouble with my skin, not even in my teenage years, until going off the Pill last year. When the zits arrived, I quickly discovered that the usual drugstore suspects weren't helping. The zits weren't the normal ones I'd had occasionally in my life these were deep, they hurt, and they laughed at 10% benzoyl peroxide. I've waited 3 months to write this review, and I can tell you unequivocally that this has completely cleared my skin without the need for any other products. I must use it daily for it to work, and I notice pimples beginning to reappear overnight if I skip it before bed. It can be a little drying during the winter, so I follow with a light moisturizer. I use a rotating face brush (Clarisonic, Olay, etc) when I feel my skin needs extra cleansing and I think the two work well together.
After a few weeks of letting the soap work and my skin calm down, I gradually reintroduced all the anti-aging lotions & potions I've been using for years with great effect. I probably didn't need to wait so long and I could have reintroduced them sooner. So yes, it can work with your usual skincare routine; just replace your cleanser with this.
I've read online to use witch hazel as a toner with it. I find that a bit too drying for my skin, but I plan to try again in the summer when my skin's oily. People with oily skin may want to try that right off.
As others have said, this does "melt" quickly, but the brick you receive is huge and the product's so inexpensive, it's no big concern. Once while trying to slice off a thin bar, the soap broke into chunks the sizes of various coins I've found I like using those because then I'm not losing much soap to "melt" in the shower.
As someone else described, there are little pieces of ash or wood in the soap. Just be aware of them and pry them out with your fingernail, problem solved. I choose to lather the soap in my hands rather than applying the bar to my skin for this reason.
Ladies, this does a fair job removing makeup. I choose to use eye makeup remover because I wear waterproof mascara, but the soap's been fine at getting off whatever's left of my foundation by the end of the day.
This is a product I've been recommending to everyone I know with skin problems! I feel a bit fanatical, but it's really been that good for me. Give it a try you'll only be out a few dollars and it just might work for you.

This is the fourth type of African Black Soap that I have purchased and tried and it is by far the best. It's very natural and leaves your skin feeling very clean. I actually cut the block in half and have two very good sized bars of soap. I had tried cheaper bars and they did not even compare to this one. Also the liquid soap I bought had too much conditioner in it and left you feeling almost coated, unlike this soap. It's also done a great job of clearing up my skin. I love it, and plan on keeping it as a staple in my shower.

i was a tad iffy about ordering this off of here but once i received it and tried it out i was in love. this stuff is amazing. i have oily & sensitive skin that can cause rashes at times. this black soap is helping out with it all.
This is fast becoming one of my favorite body soap bars. Great lather, leaves you feeling clean, and the scent is not as strong as the Mistral Black Amber soap, and no where near as floral but a good scent none the less. Showering twice a day this soap lasts about three weeks to one month, it does not take much to get alot of lather even in the harsh hard water I have.
