I just read the two reviews of the soap and was shocked. I have used these soaps for the past few yrs and find it to be the best product I have ever used. I feel so clean and refreshed after using it. The new watermelon is delightful I was wondering if the others who did not like it have bad water?Want Melaleuca Gold Bar Soap Discount?
I do not know what is in this soap but the minute it was on my skin I wanted it off.It has an extremely heavy residue. As you wash your hands with it, it feels so sticky
and I had to wash for a long time to try to remove it and it did not even then come off.
Its a terrible product. The smell is a turn off too it smells like something the guys in
the garage would use.
Felce Azzurra Classico Bar Soap 100g soap
Good soap, lasts awhile with no residue. Great for morning and night face washing. Smell isn't as strong as the other Felce Azzurra products, was a little dissapointed in that. But left my skin soft and moisturized without greasy, or flaky, or white soap residue. very nice. Just wish the scent was stronger and the soap was larger for that price. I bought this soap for my children hoping it would help the skin on their hands. All of them suffer from dry, cracked, bleeding hands in the Winter time. Regular hand soap strips too much of the natural oil from their skin. I would say within a week of using this product their hands had healed up and looked soft and healthy. I also felt great about using a product with all natural ingredients. I would have loved to keep using it, but my kids went through the bottle pretty quickly and I just can't spend that much for soap on a regular basis. I had 5 children using it and I would guess it lasted about 3 weeks. Maybe it would help if one pump put out a smaller amount of soap?

Well, in an effort to go more green and hearing that Kiss My Face olive soap was good for the skin, I decided to buy some Kiss My Face soap. At first, it made my skin dry and I would have to put on a lot of body lotion to counteract the effects. I figured that I would just finish the one bar and then switch back to Dove. Well, after a month, something happened and my skin suddenly became soooooo soft! People used to say that I had the softest skin they ever encountered. As I got older, I didn't get that compliment as much anymore. But now Kiss My Face soap has given me back my bunny soft skin :) I'm staying with it now.So I would say, give your skin some time to adjust. Olive soap is supposed to do wonders for your skin. Also, they last forever, much longer than a regular bar of Dove. I warm these big bars in the microwave 10 secs at a time and when it is soft enough, I cut them into four chunks so that I don't have to heft a giant bar while cleaning myself.
We saw the general physician at first because we figured it was some kind of bug bites or sickness. He suggested eliminating any new soaps, shampoos, etc. we had started and gave us medication to control the severe itching. We eliminated everything else and made a dermatologist appointment. We're cancelling that now because after we eliminated this soap, all the itching stopped!
Perhaps other people have better luck but I'm not going near their soaps again..

I have been using this soap and the cream for 3 months. When i wash the soap off my body it looks clean and all the dirt from my skin comes off great. This soap is good for cleaning the skin and giving you an even complexion. I have notice a difference and people always compliment me on how nice my complexion look. I am brown skin, but I always wanted to be a lighter brown like i was as a teenager. Now I am.

If there were 10 stars, I would have gladly given this product 10 stars! This is a really great soap that works really well for my hair. A friend gave it to me first, and I was a little skeptical to wash my hair with a soap, but after I tried it, I swear by it! I searched and was so glad to find it here at Amazon so I bought more.I could not find a shampoo and conditioner that would reduce frizz and keep my style in place and in the meantime keep my hair bouncy like on TV :). You've got to believe me this soap has worked wonders for me! I wash my hair with the soap twice, rince, towel dry and then put a size of a table tennis ball of styling foam and style. I got volume, no frizz, shine and bouncy hair for three or more days. It also cuts my styling time in the morning by half.
Even my friends have noticed that! When I touch my hair it feels so full! I have tried both Spruce and Tea Tree bars I just can't believe how great these two work for me! Look at the ingredients; coconut oil, olive oil, almond oil shea butter , rosmary extract only real soothing oils. let alone the aroma slight, tender aroma.
I can't say enough for this soap! You've got to try it!
Radiance Exfoliating Body Bar 4 oz.
Burt's Bees Exfoliating Body Bar is amazing as far as I'm concerned! Like a lot of people, I suffer from keratosis pilaris (red bumps on my upper arms, cheeks, and other various places) and have found few products that do anything about it. I just started using this body bar, however, and my arms are SO soft and smooth! My arms haven't been this soft since I was a baby. My skin feels great, the bar doesn't dry my skin out (I have grotesquely dry skin, barely ever had a zit) and it smells so fresh and wonderful. It was soothing and refreshing on my sensitive skin.I think I'm a Burt's Bees Body Bar user for life.
After washing my face in the morning, it will get really dry (esp. between and around eyebrows) but then it turns oily mid-day. Weird.
I've been searching for a very moisturizing soap bar soap that 1. I can use for my face and body 2. Doesn't leave film/residue on skin 3. Makes my skin squeaky clean 4. I wont have to use lotion after using (face ok)
This soap does all these things for my skin!
It doesn't feel like an 'exfoliating soap' it's very gentle. Leaves my skin super soft. Love it!

Before using this soap I tried:
African Black Soap-Was great for a week, then burned my face, left me with dry patches :(
Nubian Raw shea butter soap -sort of moisturizing but left a film and I made the mistake of trying to wash my eye makeup with this. don't do it, it burns your eyes! Still left me with dry skin.

Pacifica 6 oz Natural Soap
I ordered eight different scents of Pacifica's soap. Only the French Lillac comes as a white, creamy bar with studs of dried flowers and herbs, While the others are an amber, translucent tone studded with dried herbs,flowers,and fruit peels.In their "dry" state, out of the shower, the California Star Jasmine smelled like synthetic jasmine. But once in the bath, it transformed into a clean, gorgeous, fresh jasmine scent.
If you're a "discreet scent" type, these soaps will not linger as a strong, overwhelming smell after you're out of the shower and about your day. But it breaks the monotony of the work week.
I encountered ample suds. Most all-natural products don't sud as much as drugstore Dove or Yardley. It's a very high quality, all natural vegan product for a decent price. L'occitane soap bars of the same size are $10 a pop! Sabon soaps aren't that great. Soaps sold through Anthropologie for the same size and price range dry out after a few weeks and look like sheets of paper soap. I also love Biggs and Featherbelle, which is a small, all-natural, soap company (with sisters and their families helping).
The best soap I've had is from La Pasioneria, an Argentinian highly perfumed, highly creamy, high en yod soap company out of Mendoza. But they don't export to the US.
And that's all I have used for the past 10-years--soaps picked up from travels by the luggage full.
So comparing Pacifica soaps to other soaps I've tried in the past 10-years in the same "gifting soap/occasional treat soap" category, rather than generic Dove/Ivory, from a value for money angle, I recommend this as part of a gift or a mini-treat for yourself.
For a long time, I was turned off by Pacifica's glycerine looking, translucent blocks. I wanted a change and a good review here of the Spanish Amber soap piqued my curiosity.
Now I'm converted!
If you buy directly from them, their customer service is small scale, really nice, and very helpful.
The level of complex scents and quality oils and natural dried herbs/spices would cost alot more.
I've been cutting up different scented bars into mini-hotel bar sizes--the bars are super easy to slice because they're vegetable glycerine based.
I assume I can get more than a month's use out of the giant bar of soap as well.
Here is the run down:
Waikiki Pikake (hawaiian jasmine): blend of hawaiian jasmine with sandalwood. (sweet but not cloying because of balancing in of sandalwood, smells like pikake indeed but not artificial) This is more like taking a shower in hawaiian flower farm in one of those backyard showers outdoors
California Star jasmine: california star jasmine and "driftwood notes." This smelled more green and less natural than pikake in dry form but opened up to a good "non-synthetic" jasmine smell in hot water
french lilac: french lilac, heliotrope, and nectarine. It smells like the lilac bushes at full bloom during springtime at the Lilac garden at Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. No artificial, synthetic smell.
Tahitian gardenia: tahitian gardenia, jasmine, orange flower, ylang ylang. It smells like gardenias and just lush green--like what the color green would smell like if it had a scent..and sweetness. In the shower, the gardenia opens up once you start soaping.
sandalwood: woodsy scents with top notes of tangerine and sweet orange. I definitely smell just the citrus scents from the bar without immersing it in water. Since the soaps and lotions all have complex top notes, heart notes and dry downs like with perfumes--I assume the sandalwood will open up in the shower when the soap is wet
Tibetan temple: vetiver root, patchouli, ginger, orange rinds. (i also smelled cardamom in there. It smells like chai tea or the spices in an indian kulfi/ice cream mixed with a musky incense note like vetiver)
Persian rose: smelled like citronella. As with the lotion, the rose scent opens up once you introduce soap to warm water.
spanish amber: labdanum, sandalwood, geranium, elemi (smells real warm,velvety, musky and leathery..like a man's after shave) the musky scent really opens up in the bath..really good for winter day.

It's always a little bit of a challenge finding scented soap that my boyfriend and I will both use... he likes Irish Spring while I usually go with some fruity natural body wash. Now, I'm a little biased because I generally like anything with sandalwood in it, but I think this soap is great. He likes it just as much as I do and I'd rather wake up to a natural-earthy smell over a sweet-fruity one any day of the week. It's not a heavy or overpowering scent once you get out of the shower, so if you're looking for a strong and long-lasting scent try the spray or solid perfume (haven't tried the lotion yet).The only downside I could find is the big block shape I usually cut it into 4-5 smaller slices because I find it easier to use that way. I also lather it in my wet hands and don't have any trouble doing so; while I agree that it doesn't create a thick lather, I think that's pretty typical as most of the "natural" bar soaps I've tried don't create anywhere near the lather of soaps like Dove, Irish Spring, etc.

I loved this soap. It smelled great and I even used it as a lather to shave my legs. It worked even better than my shaving cream. That might not work for every one, but I really like this soap! The soap itself is great. It is very sudsy and keeps the skin nice and smooth. It smells very pretty, but the fig scent is not dominating and the scent doesn't really linger after you bathe either. I was looking for a stronger fig scent and a scent that would last a little while. Definitely not worth 4.50 + 5 dollar shipping. I liked this soap for the way it made my skin feel. However, about 2 weeks after using it a co-worker carefully informed me that he could smell body odor when he was near me, and that it had just started recently. I went through practically everything I use when showering and doing my hair and narrowed it down to this soap being the only change I had made. I quit using the soap and the odor problem went away. No one else at work smelled it, so I think he has a particularly sensitive nose or was just sensitive to this scent. This is our staple soap. It keeps my skin soft and supple. The scent is lovely, without a lot of chemical intervention. The Lemon Verbena and Mandarine are also lovely scents. We buy through the subscribe and save program so it is automatically delivered according to a schedule I choose. If it seems expensive, it lasts a long, long time. I help preserve it by not leaving it sitting in water. We use the Waterfall soap drain board that I was able to buy last year on Amazon for $4.99. Think they may cost more now. I've purchased Claus Porto Soaps for ovr 3 years and love all their products. Morning Glory is not such a sweet fragrance and would suitable for both men and women. Holy buckets! This is so fresh smelling and so clean. Does not strip the skin of necessary oils. It is just plain old good clean, make me happy in the shower good. Lathers nicely, it could easily be used as a drawer sachet or to scent the bathroom in a bowl.
