THE LATHER IS LIKE A CREAMY LATHER WHICH LEAVES MY SKIN SOFT UNLIKE MOST SOAPS. MY HUSBAND EVEN LIKES IT. HE USES THE LAVENDER SCENT.....NOT A OVERPOWERING SMELL AT ALL FOR MEN. I liked this soap for the way it made my skin feel. However, about 2 weeks after using it a co-worker carefully informed me that he could smell body odor when he was near me, and that it had just started recently. I went through practically everything I use when showering and doing my hair and narrowed it down to this soap being the only change I had made. I quit using the soap and the odor problem went away. No one else at work smelled it, so I think he has a particularly sensitive nose or was just sensitive to this scent. I did notice an odd undertone to the soap that actually reminded me of rancid oil, so perhaps this was just a bad batch of soap.
