Having attended the Houston Fire Department Fire Academy in SUMMER I was always soaked in sweat. One day I noticed one of the academy Captains using this blue bar of soap after we were in the burn house. He waved me over and had me wash my face with it. WOW! The freshness and coolness it leaves your face after being in a Scott-Pack in a fire was amazing!It is now standard soap at my sink at home now with always a spare bar so I'll never run out!

I'd switched to various Manuka Honey and Tea Tree Oil soaps (such as the awesome but pricey Manuka Honey and Propolis Soap or cheaper Tea Tree Therapy, SOAP, VEG BASED 3.5 OZ) after dumping the chemical heavy soaps I'd grown up on, and had good results (see my reviews), though the price was always an issue. After I ran out of those, I was at a local supermarket and they were having a sale on Grandpa's brand soaps in their cute, old-timey packaging. After checking the ingredients for anything weird and not finding anything I couldn't pronounce or identify, I decided to try this one, because I need a soap that moisturizes. I've been using it daily for three weeks now and am happy with the results: smells good, cleans good, and moisturizes. I received this product along with the Raw Unrefined 5lbs of Shea butter one week earlier than estimated. I couldn't wait to get home and try this product. I did not care much for the way it was packaged. The shea butter came in a sealed durable plastic, however this huge block came in ceran wrap material. Because it is so soft I suggest using the same packaging as the shea butter (5 lb). But this doesnt affect my actual review score of the product. The wrapping was decent but could have been better. My cousin and I both took small shavings of the black soap and were amazed at how easily this stuff lathers!!! What I love most is that it does not have a harsh perfumed smell!! It smells clean, just like the shea butter! Although my cousin and I were testing the products latherability (lol) I couldnt resist washing my face with it. I like that my face and hands did not dry out. I await to see what it does to my acne prone skin. I absolutley LOVE it and will be ordering again. African Black Soap is excellent for dry skin care. The soap lathers really well, is soft, and leaves my skin soft. This soap does not dry the skin out. It actually moisturizes the skin and leaves a sort of glow to it. If you have had problems using Castile soap due to dry skin, this is the product you are seeking. It is a raw product so don't expect the pretty little shape you get with commercial soap which contain sulfate, but this soap cleans the skin and leaves it feeling soft. I would not recommend using this soap on very delicate areas, if you know what I mean, as it has an exfoliant in it. But, that's just me. LOL
Organic Peppermint Bar Soap
Wonderful soap! It lasts long and develops a silky, bubbly, almost creamy lather. It rinses off well and leaves behind no residue. It also does not dry my skin. The fragrance is invigorating, but more on the mild side. Beware however, it contains peppermint oil and so it definitely leaves your skin with a little tingle. Very refreshing and lovely in the summertime, but I do not recommend it for more delicate/private areas of the body. The only reason I originally hesitated buying it was because of the price but now think it's not expensive since it last so so long.

I love Kiss My Face Bar soaps! They are big and last me a long time for the unbeatable price. My local store ran out of them so I turned to trusty Amazon. I love the mild scent of lavender Kiss My Face offers, unfortunately I was sent the Olive and Green Tea soap. I don't mind it as much, but I still prefer the lavender.

I recently purchased a few of the Wild Soap Bar soaps, and this one is the first I have used. I've been using it for a week now, and I love it. The scent is subtle and very enjoyable. I like the scent during my shower and the fact that it doesn't cling to me and irritate my sensitive coworkers. The texture of the soap is very smooth and rinses off well so that you feel truly clean. It seems to be gentle enough that I hope to be able to use it in the winter, when I usually use a moisturizing liquid soap to prevent dry skin. I look forward to trying the other "flavors" they offer! Definitely going on my re-order list.
Johnson's Super Sudzer E-Z Grip Soap, Watermelon Explosion 3 bars - 2.45 oz (70 g) each
Coming across this item while unpacking the groceries my wife picked up, I was torn. On the surface, E-Z grip soap sounded like a good idea, but at the same time it was just one more thing for my twin daughters to fight over in the tub. Nothing more than small bars of watermelon-scented soap sewn inside thin mesh pouches, they are slightly easier to handle than conventional bars of soap, but not much. Once they're sudsed up, you still encounter a certain amount of soap slime, but they don't slide around like a normal soap bar when you set them down, for instance, on the edge of the tub or in a soap dish. For some strange reason, the suds generated from E-Z grip soap don't seem to go as far as those from conventional soap, so be prepared to rub these things between your hands several times during the course of the bathing experience. Let's face it the folks at Johnson's make the care and handling of kids a heck of a lot easier, but something here needs to be tweaked.
