Vermont Soap Organics - 12 Blue Bar 3.5 Oz Unboxed Bar Soaps
The Blue bar is a nice, medicinal type soap. I don't know if it lives up to the medicinal claims of the manufacturer but it is noticeably different than commercial soap. It washes off quickly with no feeling of residue like most commercial soaps which require much more rinsing to feel 'squeaky clean'. You will notice the quality the first time you use their soaps, I think the bars last longer too. After using Vermont Soap Organics I wouldn't use anything else. I recommend trying different ones until you find one you like and then buying the bulk box instead of individual packaged. Be careful of the Wood bar, it's actually Cinnamon.

I would call this a very good soap. Not quite excellent, due to a couple of peeves, but very close. No 5 Star, but 9 out of 10.The scent is quite enjoyable and is as labeled, a bay rum and orange. While it is not overpowering; I kind of would have preferred the orange to be a bit toned back to let more of the bay rum through. But I would count that more of a personal preference.
It works more or less as one would expect for cleaning. I found that it formed a light lather with just hand rubbing and would need a washcloth to build a thicker foam. After cleaning, it would rinse off easily with no leftover films or feelings other than just clean.
This soap is also very good for a wet shave. While I am relatively new to wet shaving and only have used a puck of Col Conk to compare to. Once that puck of Col Conk was gone, my bar of this soap was just about done and I tossed the last sliver into my bowl. This soap lathers up beautifully thick with a badger hair brush, and then after application, would stay foamed on the face for the full shave. If anything, I would say this soap is superior to the Col Conk for shaving, and the Conk was a good product and is highly rated.
Heck. If Frannie sold this soap in a round cake suitable for a shave bowl, I would probably stick with it for shaving.

I LOVE this soap. I have sensitive skin and fragrance and harsh soaps can really bother me. This soap does have fragrance but the citrus scent is mild enough for me. The ingredients are pretty pure, mostly olive oil, and its french-milled. There is no mush or yuck as this gets used and I just absolutely love it and use no other bar soap. This is a great moisturizing soap. It lasts a long time and has a great natural scent that does not cause an allergic reaction like many soaps do. We will definitely buy again.

Reasonably acceptable soap. But does not smell even a LITTLE BIT like chocolate. Not sure what it smells like... sort of minty, perhaps. Not impressed.

I originally gifted this soap from a friend who visited Kerala, India to which end I promptly fell in love with everything about it. The smell is exhilarating (what I imagine the irish spring people were talking about) and it's packed full of ayurvedic herbs. Your skin will thank you. I found that I don't need lotion after using it. It makes you feel SO clean and as someone effected by smells makes me happy to use it. However, it goes rather fast (or maybe I just use a lot) so be prepared. My next purchase will be a case of it. I don't think I can ever use anything else.
