I bought this shampoo because my daughter used it and she recommended it to me. I like it too. However, on the long use the hair becomes more oily. It may be a good thing because it is not dried out as with the use of some regular shampoo, but it was not very good for me. What I am doing now is that I wash my hair with this bar soap shampoo first and then I use a regular shampoo and rinse the hair. In this case the hair is not so oily and not dried out. It works good for me. I like this shampoo.

I am 40 years old and still get pimples because I have large pores that get clogged easily. The soap I was using (Acne Aid) got discontinued. The apothecary recommended this product and it works amazingly.

I wish I could have tried it sooner. My pores have reduced in size and my skin is so soft and clear. I use it twice daily followed with Noxzema Triple Clean pads. My skin has not looked better thanks to this routine.

Please try this soap if you have large pores or a lot of blackheads.

I am a bar soap lover--I hate liquid cleansers. Not sure why, but I do. This one is great for pulling the goop out of pores and bringing it to the surface for removal. It makes your skin feel soooo clean-no residue. I have combo skin, more toward the dry side, and have developed adult onset acne on my cheeks and temple area. My chin and nose have always had problems with blackheads. This soap dramatically reduced the development of whiteheads on my cheeks, and really cleaned out my pores. I haven't had any new blackheads on my nose for months! Note: I also stopped using a moisturizer (maybe that helped too). IT IS KEY to really take the time to lather this soap up on your face in circular motions. Note: This soap can be drying, but I have been okay using it without a moisturizer afterwards.

I purchased this to help with acne. NO NEW ZITS SINCE I STARTED USING IT!!!

Pros: It has done a very good job of cleansing and drying out the acne without drying out my skin. I have had no irritation at all from using this product.

Cons: It may slightly stain your light colored washcloths.

This soap is probably one of the best finds ever. Before I found this soap I was using every facial scrub and anti-blackhead cream cleanser I could find. Some worked better than others but every time my face would get red because of the acids in the cleansers. Deitenseki soap solved that for me. It lasts forever and does a great job at keeping my face blackhead free. It cleans deeper than any of the other stuff I've used and dries with a nice matte finish without over drying my skin. The only downside is with such clear pores my pores are free to expel their oils freely. Overall a great purchase.

I have a very oily skin and at first I was skeptical about this product.

However, I am now about to order my second bar as this is just a wonderful soap! It leaves my face dry but not too dry, clean and acne free.

Pros:

Very good face soap

No more blackheads

Significant improvement in acne

Cons:

Too big I had to cut mine into half so it can fit in my travel bag. Absolutely not a reason to not buy this soap

Suggestion: Best to wash the face before you go to sleep and also, even more important: wash your face with soap when you wake up in the morning it will make a big difference!

Hugo Naturals Handcrafted Soap Bars

If you are familiar with sandalwood and patchouli, this soap smells like that. I think it has a stronger sandalwood scent. Both fragrances are an earthy/woodsy smell.

The soap cleans well, leaves you feeling soft and is a unisex scent that complements women and men both.

I was a little apprehensive to purchase it based on a review from someone who didn't like the scent, but if you like sandalwood, you'll like the soap. I do.

update: Also, there's a 'scent name' along with the review. That may be why the reviews vary so much. Maybe some scents smell better than others -or of course there's always personal preference.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you must be careful not to let it sit in the soap dish with water. It melts too easily! Otherwise, I like it. It has a very nice scent which stays on the skin and in the shower for quite awhile. I would buy it again.

Caswell-Massey - Domestic Bliss Liquid Soap

Scrumptious...I know that's a silly word for soap. But this liquid soap does smell scrumptious! And even tho it is pricey compared to what you can buy in a drugstore, it's worth it to me. And besides that....my husband likes it, too. (Is that why they named it Domestic Bliss?) I have it on my kitchen sink in the basket with the lotion. I don't use it every time I wash my hands, but when I have been cooking a lot or cleaning, it is used thankfully. SMELLS DIVINE!!!!

Just a regular white bar soap. I have also heard from some friends that they find this less irritating to their skin than the Dove white bar soap. It doesn't lather as well as I am used to (I'm guessing this is due to them not including some certain regular bar soap chemicals), but it still gets the job done. This is also good deal. 24 Bars for $8! (A little bit cheaper than what my local stores are selling them for).

Bought this on a whim to round out an order and was pleasantly surprised when I finally got around to using it. Very long lastingsmells pleasant and has a very rich creamy lather that leaves my face soft and not overly dry. It has become my go to face cleanser as I am a soap and water gal. Liked it so much I ordered 4 more bars in case they quit carrying it. If you are looking for a tea tree soap cannot go wrong with this product.

I have to admit, I really like this soap. It doesn't, to my nose anyhow, smell natural, in fact it smells like it has bene perfumed but it's still nice. When researching about black soap I seen in alot of forums people mention that black soap burns slightly and you just have to get used to the product over time. Soooo not the case with me, I first started using DuDu Osun first(no burn sensation) and that work fine and started seeing my face clear which is good with my sensitive skin so I decided to try out black soap in its 'raw' state. When using the raw soap I def.felt the burn instantly, so I figured it was just quality soap...NOPE..After 3 days of using this soap I learned that the soap actually ATE my skin, I was left with Black Scaly Skin on my FACE, NECK, AND BACK which appeared to be scabbed skin(even after applying moisturizer and shea butter still felt scaly). But the product worked wonderfully for my little sister(12yr old)so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE test out the soap on a small area for 3 days to a week before using on whole body especially if you have sensitive skin such as myself (im using dove to correct my skin def.working to fix problem, my skin is practically back to normal, soft and smooth). The shea butter is ok (smells funny), Ive used better

I have had this for about a month. I'm over in Afghanistan now and all my normal acne medicine didn't work here. With the African Black Soap it actually got it under control! I love it and it was an awesome price! I read a lot of reviews before I bought it and some said it burnt their skin and dried out their skin really bad and others said it works great. So I was very cautious when I first started using it. I started with using it once a day and then once I got a feel for how it worked with my skin I now use it twice a day. It does dry out my skin but I use my normal face moisturizer and then my skin in fine. The shea butter is awesome too. I started making my own body butter with it. I found it was kind of hard to put on with just the shea butter because of how thick it is. I would definitely buy this again and I was actually thinking about sending it as a present. I would highly recommend this product.
