A hard milled quality soap with a pleasant fragrance, beautifully wrapped in beautiful box. If you have trouble with regular soaps irritating your hands, try this brand. Gallet Carnation soap (and the powder too,which you no longer make). The smell is different. I like it, but I don't like it as much. I wish it smelled like it used to.

Also the soap is smaller that is not as important to me as the smell, however.

Although this soap is difficult to find, it is definitely worth the effort. Whether you keep the bars in your linen closet to scent your things or scrub up with it at bath time, it lends a wonderful, spicy carnation smell to everything. It is hard-milled, so it lasts a long time, too. This is one of the little luxuries that I always want to allow myself. Now, if they only made powder and lotion to match!

Tried Bob & Trout Goat Milk soaps on a whim after searching for Dead Sea salt products... My favorite one so far is the Dead Sea Salt w/Kelp bar. I noticed an improvement in my complexion immediately after using this product-it leaves skin cleansed without drying, & a nice tone. I do not have acne problems, but my teenage daughter also noticed an improvement after using this soap. Very little scent, but leaves you clean & fresh. The bar is cut in a wave pattern-this combined with the sea salt gives a nice (gentle, not scratchy) scrubby feeling as you bathe.

I also tried Bob & Trout's Fatty-Hemp & goat milk soap. My husband especially enjoys that product-it is very good for dry skin. We both use it after swimming to counteract the drying effects of the chlorine. It has a very light citrus scent.

The Winter Spice soap is the best scent; but once again, it is very light & does not last.

These bars are a nice size, and last a reasonable amount of time. The company hand packs them in little plastic bags that are not waterproof, but are well-packaged; delivery was quick.

Try it (especially the sea salt-kelp), you will like it!

I love this soap, the bar is large. And the it lathers up wonderfully, the scent is sutle not overpowering. The thing I didn't expect was it actually moisturized my skin. The 1st time I used it my skin was soft very soft, but it also felt moisturized too no dryness what so ever. I will be ordering more, especially for the winter months. I gave one to my Daughter because we both have dry skin. And thank you for offering a quality product for such a wonderful price, and you can't be the price for shipping either.

I can't remember how much I paid for this 4 pack, but I know it worked out to less than $3.50/bar. These have a nice mild citrus scent and are gentle and non-drying, and are organic to boot. I would definitely buy these soaps again.

I've used a few different brands of organic soap. This one is O.K. I like the minimal packaging and that it isn't altered for asthetics. Another pro is that it lathers pretty good and doesn't disolve as quickly as other soaps. I don't like that it does not have much fragrance. Overall, it's a good value.

I am always concerned that the "non-toxic" products I try will not clean as well as the Nationally-known cleansers, but this is certainly not the case here. This peppermint oil is not only a de-greaser, which works well on the kitchen sink, kitchen table and even on the stove top, without effort, but it also provides a fresh-smelling clean. I love the scent, and I love that it's not full of chemicals. I also love that I can have just one dispenser at each sink for both hands and dishes.

The drawbacks include:

Both times that I've ordered (several) bottles, one or two have partially opened during shipping, and there's soap all over everything.

The soap is thick, and can be a bit problematic as far as clogging up the dispenser a bit. Also, this soap doesn't cut through grease as well as other dish soaps.

I started using Cuticura when I was 14. I got into some Poison Ivy & this is what the drugstore told my parents to use. WOW! It worked wonderfully on the rash, soothed the itching, & (a nice side efftect) my acne was completely gone. I have used this soap since then & I am 42 now. I have been complimented on my skin at Mary Kay & Avon parties. When they asked what I used I simply replied Cuticura soap; they were not impressed. :-) Cuticura soap is AMAZING product.

I have suffered with adult acne since my early twenties, and I am now thirty-six. I also have some other physical conditions that require me to take medication. I tried what seems like every over-the-counter topical treatment that is out there! Most of them caused excessive drying, yet did not clear up the acne. Needless to say, when I found this product I was skeptical! Well, I am thrilled to say that this is my miracle soap! It actually works! Imagine that! A product that actually does what it says! My face is finally clear! And it is not dry in the least! I no longer try to hide my face with my hair. And the best part is that I tried that medication again for my other illness that made my acne worse. Well now it does not even give me a pimple! It truly is a miracle! i purchased a bar of cuticura at a local pharmacy the other day, after trying everything else. my skin was doing really very well until the last few months, and i still am not completely sure what's causing my breakouts. but the next morning after using cuticura, i could already see a significant reduction in the size of my blemishes. today is the third day i've used it, and the stubborn zits i've been trying to get rid of for weeks, are now minimal, and i'm hopeful that if i continue this regimen, they'll be completely gone within the next few days to a week. the only slight problem is that after using, my skin feels somewhat taught, so in combination with the soap, i apply ponds dry skin cream, so i would recommend a moisturizer in conjunction with the soap for those of you with dry/combination skin, especially during these winter months.

Background: After using this soap at my friend's house 3 years ago, I really liked how it easily came off from the body, washing in the shower and loved the smell.

PRO: I bought this gallon size to save some $$$. I am a single user and lasted for about 8 months.

CON: One complaint is that it leaves the brown color on the shower curtain after using it for 2 weeks.

You also may not want to transfer this soap into a soap dispenser as it can easy get solidified and clogs the pump.

I had to use a hot water on the soap dispenser once/week. You should consider using a simple container with a hole

on a cap.

Ivory Ivory Original Bar Soap

i expected to receive the same soap and packaging that they show. instead i got the new soap from ivory that anyone can buy at any store. they pulled a fast one on me. DO NOT BUY getting the old original soap is impossible, so do not waste your money.

I'm returning this soap. The description claims "The classic 99 44/100% Pure Floating Soap contains no heavy perfumes, creams, or dyes." This is not true. Procter & Gamble changed the recipe for Ivory soap a few years ago and started adding glycerin. True, this makes the new Ivory soap (called Simply Ivory) softer on the hands but it no longer claims the 99 44/100% pure because of the added glycerin and no longer meets my needs. I'm sorry to see it go. This supplier must take this description and photograph down.

My mom...among other interesting eccentricities will only use white soap, as her bathroom is white and she likes things to match. Suffice to say...not an exciting choice, one can only use Ivory so much. These are lovely, delicately scented and ... Expensive. But every once in a while...if you can, it is a nice splurge.

Since I first discovered Acca Kappa soaps I have been reluctant to buy any other. Yes, they are a bit expensive, but the bars have a beautiful scent and rich lather and they last a surprisingly long time, much longer than most soaps. The Lily of the Valley is a particular favorite I only wish it came in three-bar sets by itself, but really, all the scents are beautiful.
