I really like this hand soap. I wanted to buy a product that is safe for the environment and I thought I would give Nature's Gate a try. It does the job just fine and, best of all, it doesn't dry out my hands. It has a nice citrus smell too, and unlike public restroom soap, the smell isn't too strong and doesn't linger on your hands all day.
I have dry skin and have used this glycerine-type soap for many years to wash my face; it's non-drying, yet cleans very well. Now, I'm also using it in the shower and like it better than the "non-soap" bar I was using. It's not an easy product to find where I live, but worth looking for.

Love having soap on a rope but this bar wears through the rope running through its middle after about three weeks of daily showers. Luckily, it came in a package of three. But it is very pricey for a bar of soap!

My wife has problems bathing. She was always dropping the soap and it's dangerous trying to retrieve it. This soap on a rope is a perfect solution, you can drop it all you want but it will not hit the the tub floor where you will have a slippery item to trip on.I believe that Dove did not add any scent, but some ingredient is scented, so we could not use it. This new design of bar soap with the massage bumps is very soothing. The cucumber scent is nice refreshing yet soothing. It is a great scent for spring/summer. I pair it with the matching lotion, and I don't feel it is too strong, although that is a personal preference. To me it is just a fresh clean scent. I'd switched to various Manuka Honey and Tea Tree Oil soaps (such as the awesome but pricey Manuka Honey and Propolis Soap or cheaper Tea Tree Therapy, SOAP, VEG BASED 3.5 OZ) after dumping the chemical heavy soaps I'd grown up on, and had good results (see my reviews), though the price was always an issue. After I ran out of those, I was at a local supermarket and they were having a sale on Grandpa's brand soaps in their cute, old-timey packaging. After checking the ingredients for anything weird and not finding anything I couldn't pronounce or identify, I decided to try this one, because I need a soap that moisturizes. I've been using it daily for three weeks now and am happy with the results: smells good, cleans good, and moisturizes. I've been trying to find a particular soap that I had years ago, and this box looked like the same box. The soap has a gorgeous fragrance, but for the amount of soap, it was expensive. I noticed several other Italian soaps by this same maker that were much less expensive, so I will probably try one of those next. This soap is lovely, though, and I am enjoying it!
As a physician, I am saddened and a bit horrified by the merchandising of "germicidal" soaps to Americans. You do not want to destroy the normal germs on your skin, because they help protect you from pathogenic germs that can sicken you. Everyone should use plain soap, like Ivory, to remove dirt, BUT NOT DESTROY THE NORMAL GERMS !

It would appear from the picture that you get 3 bottles with this offering. Given that you can get one 48 oz bottle from other stores for less than the price of this 16 oz bottle it further creates a sense that indeed you are getting the 3 bottles pictured. Reading more carefully however seems to show that you are only getting 1 bottle. At the current price this is not a good deal for just a single 16 oz bottle. I bought this soap from Amazon for $6.99. Regularly $14.99, I thought I was getting a good deal for 16oz. I went to Walmart a few days later and bought the same exact soap in a 48oz refill for $4.24! Amazon, this is ridiculous and a complete rip off. Please look into the pricing on this. Usually Amazon is cheaper or comparable to Walmart. And I would much rather shop Amazon. The soap itself is great. It has a scent but it does not stay on your hands for long. Very mild too.
I purchased this soap for the sole reason that it was supposed to be "jasmine". It's not even close to that fragrance. However, it's still a glycerin bar of soap so I will use it but it is falsely labeled as jasmine.

This soap is terrible. It falls apart into chunks within the first few uses. It makes the skin feel hydrated but i can't get it to sud enough, even after much rubbing of the bar onto my rough bath sponge, to wash even just 1/4 of my body before the suds completely dissapearing. I know that glycerine bars don't sud like soap bars but this is rediculous!
