ok so this is soap. I use it to make liquid hand soap (grate it, and heat it on low heat until all flakes are dissolved, mix with 5-10 c water, depending on your preference) it made about 50 oz. worth from one bar, which is really cheap. I will then put it in my foam soap pump, and this package of soap will last me at least a few years! Yay, I love saving money! and it's antibacterial too :)

This is a good soap for cleaning and some moisturizing, but the scented qualities are overrated. After the first use, I could barely smell it at all, even when held up to my nose. Perhaps this was an old bar that had been sitting around at Amazon for some time? As far as I know, this is as close to a plain unadulterated soap. I don't like artificial fragrances and harsh chemicals. Most soaps are expensive due to heavy marketing and ads, but they come and go. Ivory has been around since I was a little kid and still the same soap as I know. Very gentle to your skin, great for the kids too. Always very affordable.

Makes your face very soft and clear with very few uses. Lathers well, may make your face a tad dry but just use a good moisturizer for that. Not harsh at all. My only complaint is size. It is a small bar and I am nervous about using it as much as I want to. The picture looks bigger than it really is, but I still love it.

I decided to try two other brands and compare them with the two brands that I have been using for a long time. Ouch, did I make a mistake to give them a try!This is an imported South American brand and is real cheap quality like those little itty bitty Motel 6 type that is junk.
I will forever now stick with the two best brands that my dermatologist recommends Stieffel and also SulfurSoap found on the web.
It is a world of difference.
Now i know that the drying part of it sounds bad, but like all new products your face will get adjusted. It took about a week to week and half for my face to adjust and moisture to retain. Within that week i notice my zits diminishing rapidly, i also noticed my scars fading. So i don't know the true experience of the other person review, but for its price, why not give it a try?
Another thing to add! If you wear silver jewerly while showering take it off. Sulfur reacts with the silver and tarnishes it. I have a tiffany's silver heart necklace that my BF gave to me. Now i have had it for some time and did gain some wear to it, but never looked tarnished. After a while using this product i notice it turned a bit to another color. I did clean it with Hydrogen Peroxide and toothpaste, (that seem to do the trick to rid of it). But if you wear precious metals. Be wary.

Small easy to handle bar and this is a hard long lasting soap. Was disappointed that it has almost no lavender scent and basically just smells like soap. Lathers fairly well and didnt dry out my skin. Produced in India and imported to Lodi CA. No animal ingredients or testing. This would be a soap that a Green party member would love. Otherwise it is just an average all organic bar of soap. Even the box is made of recycled paper.

We have softened water and was given this type of soap with the system. It works perfect, so when my family ran out, I found your product, which is an excellent substitute. The bar of soap lasts, does not get soggy like some soaps do, and it has a clean feel.
If you can't enjoy this soap, you have some unique requirements. Even an average guy can appreciate an obvious rich-feeling lather. Combine this with natural ingredients, mild exfoliate, decent aroma even for an olfactory challenged person, clean feeling face, hands, showered body, skin kept in good condition, long lasting soap bar and a good price (at least when bought in a bulk package of 12 bars), it's a winner.
If you want to maximize the luxury lather feel of this soap, once soap is applied, rub hands, arms, whatever and more lather will foam. Heck, use it in place of shaving cream (soap, rinse, soap, rinse softens facial hair, soap, lather, shave, rinse, works great).
SaVON de-luxe French Milled Soap: never heard of it? Perhaps that's because for most of a decade it's been available primarily from only one online US source (Drugstore.com) and it doesn't appear to be advertised. Even the SaVON de-luxe distributor has disappeared online. But, it is likely Drugstore.com was encouraged by consumers to bring this product back after a short disappearance. Try it and you'll likely champion this soap as well.
Bottom line: when an average guy responds to soap to the extent of being deliberate in finding it, maybe there's a reason. I've been using SaVON de-luxe French Milled Soap for perhaps a decade and will continue its use for as long as it remains available. Not inclined toward (for a guy) more "sweet scented" versions (no disparity or condescension implied toward women), my preferences are Almond and Oatmeal for hands and body, Pure Lavender and Pure Rosemary Mint for face. OK; so even the names are a bit flowery for me; but hay, they have to differentiate soaps somehow, why not ingredients. Buying soaps with names like these is a compromise to acquire a touch of luxury in each day for even an average guy.
