I couldn't find the original fragrance in the stores anywhere, so decided to shop online. I saw the picture of this label looks exactly like the old stuff I used to buy, so I committed to a dozen bars. What I got was the new smelling stuff, which for me is not really pleasant, I know, I know; the description mentions White Peach and Orange Blossoms, but there are several different fragrances of Caress, so I shop the picture/label even when I'm in the store. Yes the soap keeps my skin softer, but at the price of smelling like a grandmother (just my opinion). Since this is a product review, I still think it appropriate to rate it low due to the (in my opinion) old lady smell. Would also love if the seller actually put in the correct picture

I originally saw these Soap Rocks at a little boutique. When I went back to buy one, the store was gone. I decided to order one online. I like the way the jade Soap Rock looks, but the scent isn't the greatest. Frankly, it smells a bit like old lady. No offense to old ladies out there. It looks great in my bathroom and it is hard to tell that it is even soap. I might try another fragrance next time without trying too hard to match the colors in my bathroom.

Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap ( 1x3.25 OZ)

I'm hesitant about saying anything bad about this product, b/c it may be a pleasant odor for someone else. It wasn't for me however so I only used it once. I will say that this is a preference issue so take that into consideration. Of the one time that I did use it, it did lather up properly as any other shaving soap would. Also, don't think that it smells like pine either, it's label is misleading. It's odor is something more along the lines of a leather somewhere in the middle of it's tanning process, if that helps. Again, not a bad product, just not for me.

This stuff is AWESOME on eczema and dry skin. I have very dry skin which exacerbates my eczema symptoms during the dog days of summer (Hot, Hazy, Humid). It didn't clear it overnight but, for the first time in 3 summers, my skin no longer looks like a mess from so much scratching and itching. I've tried topical creams (OTC and prescription) as well as lavender oil and allergy shots, but these little soaps seem to be the only thing that keeps the eczema under control; again, it took a while, but my skin hasn't looked this good in a long time. Just don't expect some sort of quick miracle cure.

Chandrika Bath Soap Ayurvedic - 75 Grams, 10 Pack

My family loves this soap. My husband turned me on to it about 10 years ago when we were dating and now it's the only soap my (adult) son uses, he's got a mild to medium case of eczema and this is the only soap that doesn't irritate his skin. Of course, I like it as a facial soap too. I buy them 20 or so at a time!

This soap is not the same as the one I've purchased in the past at stores. It doesn't have them same smell. Well, at least not unless you put it right under your nose. Also, the packaging was crushed on half the boxes, and the date of manufacture on them was 2010. I don't know if that's why the smell was gone or what. The soap, just as a soap, without wanting a scent, is fine. But just not what I was expecting.

I spent a year of college in India and used Chandrika soap while I lived there. With poor water pressure there (and most of the time, bucket baths), Chandrika was wonderful because it rinsed off so easily. It has a great scent and leaves me feeling cleaner than any other soap I have used. I especially love to have it now when I travel to areas with hard water because its great lather is not affected like other soaps.

Try this soap! The only drawback I have found is that even though my skin is slightly on the oily side of the scale, long term use can dry my skin out in some settings. If the ingredients are not translated in English, you might not notice that along with a lot of wonderful essential oils, the major ingredient is caustic soda (lye). I make a point to rinse it off my face very quickly to limit the drying there. On the positive side, lye is a strong base and can help balance the pH of skin. I am prone to athlete's foot (and other nasty fungal infestations) and I have found that they are easier to control and treat when I am using Chandrika regularly.

This soap smells great and leaves me feeling clean. Because of the associations I have with a wonderful time in my life, it takes me to my happy place when I use it. I recommend it to everyone. Even if you don't like it in your shower, you can leave it unwrapped in a dish and take advantage of its great scent in place of incense.

I used to use Chandrika a lot but then I ordered some (a different item, not this one) and it was a completely different soap than I had always gotten. I figured they changed the recipe (for the worse) and I gave up on the product. I guess I could have investigated a little but , hey, its just soap... Then not too long ago I decided to see if I could possibly find the old soap that I liked and it was still around and apparently had been all along. I ordered this and it was indeed the soap that I am used to and have been using for 15 years. I like the smell though it is definitely not for everyone.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash, 5.3 Ounce

The pump bottle for this product creates a foamy shampoo-ish type lather but it is still just castile soap and therefore does not feel like it is really cleaning my hair. I used it after applying henna and the loose henna still stayed on my scalp after shampooing twice. Also it does not leave hair with a manageable feeling, easy to move a comb through. It just felt dirty and tangled after using this product. I will have to see it there is a conditioner that is equally chemical free somewhere to compensate for this product's downfalls. Incidentally you need two hands to dispense the shampoo, one to hold the light weight cylindrical bottle and the other to push down the pump.

This soap is very natural and has a great lavender smell! Good foaming. Very gentle soap. Washes away easily. I will buy again.
