Mistral Men's Soap, Cedarwood Marine, 250 Grams

This stuff is great, it smells indistinguishably manly and awesome like a pirate lumberjack. It's kind of like driftwood, and wood chips, and christmas trees, and whatever wood pirates made their peg legs out of.

I have been looking for a good Men's soap for quite a while that had a long lasting scent that is not overpowering and I have concluded the Men's collection of soaps from Mistral are the best after trying a dozen or so other brands first that were cheaper. I ran across the Mistral brand and decided to go ahead and try one as I had tried all the other cheaper brands and I am glad I did. This scent (Cedarwood Marine)is my favorite and is everything I want in a soap, including an Amazon price that is better than most of the small shops retail it for. This triple milled bar lasts me about a month of everyday use and the scent stays well after the shower and beyond. The vendor description is very accurate: Cedarwood Marine Men's Bar Soap, This original combination evokes a seaside forest where cedarwood, marine essences and cool eucalyptus create a clean, refreshing aroma. It has Toning Grape Leaf Extracts with Anti-irritant & Anti-bacterial properties, Gapeseed Oil that conditions and softens male skin (but not overly so, antioxidant polyphenols and it is Triple-Milled for longer lasting use. It does not leave me feeling overly dried and it does not leave a film or residue behind that many men's soaps that claim they soften skin do. My second favorite is the Sandalwood and third would be the Citrus Woods but I was not very happy with the Black Amber as it did not have a lasting scent as the others but that may be preferred by some.

It is a good soap and lathers well, but the scent is not at all what was expected. The reviewer who thought their process might be inconsistent may be right. Unlike most reviewers, I found the scent to be very faint. It also smells nothing like cedar. Nor does it smell like eucalyptus, which is for some reason supposed to evoke the sea. It is infused with white coffee and green ginseng. That's probably why I can't place the smell. White Coffee and Green Ginseng??

I am giving this soap 4 stars only because it is a great soap that does not over dry. After reading the other reviews, I was expecting more of a fragrance. I can detect very little scent even while washing with it, and any trace of fragrance is gone by the time I step out of the shower. I definately do not smell anything like cedar or salt water. I have to wonder if the production process is inconsistant, given the other reviews about the great smell.

Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp Bar Soap

I found this brand at a local vitamin/supplement shop, and loved the fragrance. Brought it home and tried it out, and love it. It is refreshing, foams up nicely, and is very moisturizing. If you are bothered by fragrance, like I am, no need to worry about the scent lingering it is gone right after use. I have found it to be cleansing, but does not strip my skin or leave it try or tight-feeling. I also find the scent to be neutral, maybe leaning towards feminine just a bit. But again, it does not linger after use. It may not smell like a true vetiver (which I adore), but I still like this soap, especially its moisturizing and skin-softening properties.

Leaves you feeling fresh, it has seeds in it to provide exfoliation and it's made from natural ingredients. Smell is very neutral so can be used by men and woman. I can't go back to body wash soaps after using this product!

I've started using this soap six weeks after my shoulder surgery and I am quite impressed with its properties. Since I have been in physical therapy I have been looking for ways to reduce my pain medicine intake. I was always having lots of swelling which prevented me from making the progress in my recuperation. I've started using this soap because of its anti-inflammatory properties and guess what? IT REALLY WORKS!!!

Every morning I shower with this soap prior to going to physical therapy. I have made more improvement in my mobility in the few days of using this soap then I had four weeks prior to using the soap. I have not even taken anymore pain medication since. Even the moisturizer properties are excellent. So many people ask me where are my scars. Even my doctor barely noticed my scars from the surgery. Using pure Aloe Vera Gel, Raw Shea Butter, and this Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver Soap with Neem Oil, my healing and recovery has been shorten and soon I will be returning back to my regular duties and lifestyle.

I've purchased this soap from a local grocery store for $2.99, and I've just learned that the same grocery store has the soap on sale for $1.49. Looks like I will be stocking up this weekend.

I highly recommend this soap for anyone who has had surgery or in the near future will have surgery. It really reduces inflammation and it is all NATURAL (chemical free). 2 Bar Set Venezia Soapworks Moisturizing Soap Honey Almond - 7 ounces each

I bought the Honey Almond Venezia Soapworks bath bar at a local discount store ( Roses )for $1 recently and gave it a try today. The reason why I bought it in the first place was the size. I don't believe I have ever bought a bar of soap this large. At a mammoth half pound this soap will give you a bang for your buck. I also liked the fact that it is all natural and doesn't have animal fat in it. The smell in the box is also nice. To me it smelled like a faint cherry almond scent kinda like Jergen's. Too bad once you get out of the shower you don't smell it on your skin. You feel clean but smell plain. It would be a good soap to use if you want to wear a cologne and not have it over powered by your shower. While bathing it foams up easily and feels like you're bathing in cream. You start to think this is a very moisturizing soap until you begin to dry off and notice your skin is a little tight. This soap cleans very well however and for the price and value it is not a bad buy.

We had run across this soap at a store and picked it up to try it out. We loved it more than any other soap we had used. We have tried many other soaps over the years because we had never found one that we loved 100 percent. However this is it. We tried the Mandarin Orange sent originally but unfortunately we did not remember what brand of soap it was so we went on a search and had to purchase the soap so we could open the package to see what it looked like. We could not find the Mandarin Orange variety but did find it in Pomegranate which is very nice. The Honey Almond sent we can not comment on one way or the other however we love the cleaning value of the soap, we love the size and shape of the soap and the feel, so we will be likely to try it in any sent we find. We are so happy that it is offered on Amazon now that we know hat brand to look for.

Like the other reviewer said, I bought mine at a dollar store for $1 and it definitely smelled like honey/almond and is 100% vegetable oil/no animal fat and is triple milled and was huge and lathered well and the packaging is nice-looking, but it reminds me of the Castelbel soaps well-scented, nice lather, huge, but its texture is very hard (and I like softer soaps), hence it lasts longer, but there's very little moisturizing quality (even though that's what its packaging promises). For $1, it's definitely a deal, but even at less than a $l, when you add s/h costs, it's NOT a deal.

There are other better triple milled soaps out there like the South Of France Twin Pack French Milled Vegetable Soap Shea Butter, 4.25-Ounces Bars (Pack of 3) soaps (especially with "Shea Butter" for more moisture they're HUGE, affordable, purely organic, made in the US but made in the French way for the allergic or sensitive with good fragrance), Pre de Provence Pure Vegetable Oil Soap Verbena Bar 8.8oz(high quality), Mistral Shea Butter Soap, Wild Blackberry, 7-Ounce Bar (high quality), and Bisous de Provence soaps (all 3 made in France with fantastic fragrance/lather/moisturizing qualities), and Olivia Care Olive Oil Soap , Verbena, 8-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4) soaps (which are French made soaps and can be huge at 8 oz and have proven moisturizing qualities with generous pure smooth olive oil and fantastic smell.)

As with any soap, if you want to have it last longer, keep it away from water and get a soapholder with holes on the bottom so the water doesn't stay to liquefy the soap.

Chandrika-Soap Ayurvedic 75 Grams

I have been happily using Chandrika soap for several years. The oval green bar contains no animal products and gives a nice lather. It cleanses the skin and leaves a pleasant, fresh smell that lasts for several hours. I also keep a bar near the sink for hand washing, as it does not dry out the skin like other soaps when used frequently. The average bar lasts me about three weeks of daily use, so it is a good value.

This soap gets one star for the awesome herbal smell. Another star is for the amount of suds the bar produces, with just a couple of swipes. However, after one use my skin was left so itchy that I finally had to get undressed and smother my skin with lotion from head to toe! My facial skin was so tight that I could see every wrinkle! Even when applying the soap in the shower it burned my facial skin (but not body) and my face was left reddened for hours after application. I do have acne-prone sensitive skin, and think this bar would be more beneficial to normal or oily skin types. I wish the soap would have worked for me, too.

The best soap I have ever used.

Dove soap smelled great, was very moisturizing, but all the chemicals scared me and I had terrible back pimples from using it. even the sensitive with no fragrance. I have also tried many other soaps from dial to ivory, caress, and everything across the board, but this soap puts them all to shame.. Be careful when you wash up because this stuff it's very gentle but it will make you very clean, and it gets in all the nooks a crannies if you know what I mean. So just dont apply to much of the soap and it will be all good. I love the distinctive scent, like the other reviewer, and I feel so clean Afterwards! The very first day of using the chandrika after switching from dove I didn't shower for two whole days, because i felt so darn clean, after 24 hrs my skin wasn't feeling dirty or greasy or sticky or smelly! so I skipped a shower! haha, this is great stuff, I plan to be a longtime customer. I'm a fan of foaming soap because I don't like residue left behind on many of the gel soaps. On the other hand (no pun intended), foaming soap can sometimes dry out my skin so I was pleased to see how clean and moisturized my hands felt after washing with EO hand soap! The scent is lovely and the bottles last a long time. It may be more expensive than other soaps, but you get what you pay for.

This hand soap is simply awesome! Yes, it is more expensive than some brands, but the foaming ones do last longer. I will gladly pay more for this since it doesn't have any toxic ingredients. The cheaper products have cheaper ingredients so it's a case of "you get what you pay for." I have been disappointed in many other natural/organic brands but I love EO and this is my favorite liquid handsoap by far. I LOVE the fragrance!!! I am not a lavender fan (which seems to be the most common fragrance in natural products) so I was so glad to find this. It also does not dry out your hands so you don't have to run for the lotion bottle when you are done washing. I Wish that It would show the correct bar of soap that I received. I will explain: I received this 4oz bar of soap which I did not order, I ordered the 8oz as you can read it. I chose this ratting because because it was not the size I received. I had a problem with Americarx.com, called them twice, the first time I called they were suppose to get back to me 3 days later on may 20th, concerning sending back the wrong size soap. I got no response. I called them back today and now they said that I could keep the soap and They are going to keep the shipping and handling of $2.47 and refund me the $1.98. Why I am upset about it is that I could have bought the 8oz bar at Whole Foods Grocery. I thought I would be saving myself a trip but I guess I am not. From the stress that I went through I feel that they should send me the whole price of it. They claim it was a tech. error on their part.

I guess I will be using the soap as I did not have to send it back. But I still want to get the 8oz bar because it lasts longer. I believe this kind of soap is healthier to use than any other brand.
