I have been using their soap on my face for several years now and am very happy with it. They actually list the ingredients on the box and there is no sodium of any kind in itit will not dry out your skin.

I absolutely LOVE this soap. They use 5 simple all-natural ingredients, starting off with 100% pure olive oil. There aren't 50 chemical ingredients that you can't pronounce. This soap is high quality, gentle and good for everyday use. It takes very little effort to create a rich, creamy lather. It easily rinses clean, leaves no residue on my skin or my tub, and leaves my skin feeling moisturized (I have normal to oily skin). It makes for a luxurious bathing experience. And the lemon verbena smells sooo refreshingly clean. I've also tried the mandarin scent and that's lovely too. My niece, who has eczema, is able to use this soap without irritating her skin. My sister gave me a box of 4 bars of the verbena scented soap for Christmas last year (2010). I love the fresh lemon smell and luxurious lather I get.It creates a rich thick lather that is great for shaving in the shower instead of using shaving cream and is gentle enough for all over body use. The shape of the bar fits nicely in my hand and is perfect for applying to my legs. One bar lasts quite a long time if you don't let it sit in water, as I'm only on my second bar well into October 2011. I haven't tried it on my face but after reading the reviews here, I will definitely be trying it.

Pre de Provence Soap - Mint Leaf Soap 8.8 oz

I've been using Pre de Provence for several years now, and Mint Leaf has quickly become my second favorite soap. The scent isn't too strong for a mint-based soap; it's not burning your nostrils. This is mint leaf soap. Leaves are really in there. Looks like tea leaves. The three of use in our family will have a reaction to soap and this was fine for us. Didn't dry our our skin. I no longer remember how long it lasted but was about six weeks or more.

I was excited to try this as it had all my fave scents in it. Unfortunately, it did not deliver. It smelled like any other soap, with no discernible lavender, patchouli or vanilla smell! It was like it had the base soap, but they forgot to add the scents.

If you like these scents, you Have to try the Earhsong line of lotions. They have Patchouli and Vanilla and Patchouli and Lavender. I personally mix the patchouli vanilla with their Magic lotion, which is jasmine, sandlewood and patchoul. The Magic is suitable for men too. These lotions are all natural and use essential oils and the smell is strong, which I like. If you just want a hint, you will want to mix with a generic lotion. They are super affordable too. Now if they would just start making a body wash, I would be a happy camper! Until I can find a good body wash, I will continue to use Volcanic Ash Soap with Cocoa Butter and Patchouli:

I was brought up on dove and dial. While I felt 'clean' after a shower or washing my hands, I also felt dried out. The word 'moisturizing' didn't follow from something that washed the oils out of my skin.

I've been exploring some of the other soaps here on Amazon, and I think I like the natural vegetable soaps a lot more. Moondance Soap is normal soap, without the extra chemicals in it. They make soap the old-fashioned way, and by leaving the glycerin in the soap when it cures, it has the softening these bars have to add back in. I think I like the natural glycerin better -I know I like the lack of 'dryness' -and that Moondance just plain soap has nothing in it to trigger itchy allergies.

The Dove bar lasts long enough -it doesn't need to dry out between use like the natural handmade stuff does. That's a plus, but I only shower once a day, so the natural product soap lasts plenty, too. The difference is price. If I'm looking for cheap disposable soap that does the job, this works. If I'm looking for a fancier soap for a gift (or a treat), I like the Moondance stuff.

Palmolive Naturals Moisture Care with Aloe & Olive Extracts Bar Soap, 80 G / 2.8 Oz Bars, 3 in a Pa

I have three varieties of palmolive soap. I have the pearl extract, aloe and olive, citrus and cream. I haven't gotten around the citrus yet. Comparing it to the pearl extract this isn't as drying. Don't expect to be moisturized like dove but this soap does a decent job. I like dove but sometimes I feel it leaves too much residue. I don't feel as fresh and clean as I'd like. This soap does the job. I even wash my face with it before my moisturizer and I've gotten no breakouts. So I am pleased. I like the scent. It's like the original green palmolive but fresher. Light clean fragrance.

Purchased Palmolive Naturals Smooth and Moisture Aloe and Olive Extract soap several days ago and what a find!

Was using Dove, but it was drying my skin. Palmolive does not do that. Makes my skin very smooth and fresh. Good scent too. Definitely a five star soap for me. I think I will stick with this one for a while.

My complexion is olive-Mediterranean, and I have had an uneven skin tone with serious sun damage for many years. I bought this because my face is lighter than my body and I wanted it to match.I think i've noticed a brighter tone but not entirely lighter.I've been using it for about a week twice daily in conjunction with Symba bleaching cream all over my body.I usually use the soap all over and let it stay on for a couple minutes then rinse.It does leave my body amazingly soft sometimes too soft so I would recommend it.Expensive though!
